Thank you to whomever is keeping the memory of Johnny Carson alive with this channel so people born after he retired can enjoy his comedy & hosting greatness.
Wow, that was so cool when she mentioned that she & Bert Convey had gone to high school together & dated a couple of times. She just seems like a very down to earth, sweet person! WE LOVE YOU, CAROL! ❤
Carol Burnett is one of the few talents from this era who is still around. I hope she can live for much longer, because she was a aura of talent that today’s sad excuse for female actresses/comic could only dream of. Thank you to whoever is uploading these old clips from a bygone era.
No one. . . . And I mean NO ONE. . . . Can ever top the hilarity, the caring nature, the wholesomeness, of Carol Burnett. It is no secret that she is one of those people that generations will remember. My parents both watched her show when they were kids. I would just love to meet her. Even though that dream may always remain a dream.
Carol Burnett always seems so polite and respectful as other actors have said who have worked with her through her long career. She appears to be a genuinely nice person. I saw her surprise Vicki Lawrence once she was relating a story of how the producers said she was "too rough" to be hired on the Burnett Show. She said she told them, "So are diamonds, before they're polished." What a comment.
I was working as a pastry chef at The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville and she stayed there during her book tour about 5 years ago. I didn’t meet her, but I made her a welcome dessert tray and she sent back kind regards.
you know? Growing up consuming gringo media, there were a lot of "famous" people the were portrayed as "bigger than life" and as "generational talents" that once I'd go and watch/listen to their stuff, I wasn't impressed. So, I thought Carol Burnett will be along those lines: an overhyped-american only kind of talent. But in this interview alone you can see how she is really different, sparking, funny, witty and with a big presence. She is really great!
Carol Burnett not being scheduled as the first guest on Carson? How insulting. I loved Bert Coney (R.I.P.), but Burnett was (and is) an American icon. She absolutely should've been the first guest. But she has such grace that I'm sure she didn't make a big deal of it. Carson and his producers should've been ashamed of themselves.

He was truly the King of late night TV. Every talk show since has been a poor imitation.
And carol such gems
Carol is 90 and still great! Saw her in Better Call Saul just last year - terrific performance.
She was great on "Mad About You " as well. I've never seen her do anything poorly as an entertainer.
She’s currently in Palm Royale with Kristen Wiig.

WE LOVE YOU, CAROL! ❤
What I wouldn't give, to be able to walk into my house 1975. Just to see everyone again, and be able to watch these old shows once again.

You were doing great until that anti-woman broadside 😢
@@snowman300 no it was all legit...
Johnny was the best late night host and Carol was such a great comic talent
Carol is such a great comic talent. She is still alive.
I so enjoy watching these old shows. Definitely brings back fond memories.😍😘
Mt Carson always got the big names to come on his show! This is great! 🥰
Carol has always been wonderful.
Oh to go back in time and watch true talent

Now I feel old : I watched her when I was a kid, too back in the 70’s !
The iconic....Carol Burnett.
Love her...
Amazing, Carol and Johnny worked together on the Gary Moore show, and Carol and Bert went to school together.
She is a huge star and never acted like one. So genuine
Carol Burnett IS THE BEST!
Carol is so much fun🤪
God bless Carol. 😊 ❤ 😍
I enjoyed watching both Carol and Johnny, that's what is called family shows. Not like now

I love how she carried her purse onto the stage like she just happened to be walking by and she stopped in to chat
They all did that Bette Davis always did.
What fascinates me even more is just how Bert Convy was the opening guest before Carol Burnett?
It’s the cotton candy hair

Late night television at its greatest.
Great entertainers, at their peak.

She’s so great!!
Oh how I miss these times 😑♥️
She was 42 when this was recorded.

Ah, such valued actors and actresses in the earlier years. Rip early days of 'ol
She's gorgeous ❤
7:11 She should have recorded Be My Love! That was impressive.

90 AÑOS.
Yes please
Funny i had crush on her as a child.
Everyone is gone now except for Carol. ☹️
Ahh, the old conservative times lol. Carol makes an edgy joke of "You can come to my Basement anytime" and people were afraid to react!

Who are the other guests
amazing, she lied to Stephen Colbert. Either Carol lied or she really doesn't remember her Johnny Carson interviews.
This is not necessarily her first appearance

She’s well dressed. She looks beautiful. She doesn’t need cleavage or a skirt slit up her thigh to be attractive..
In 2024 we could use 500 channels of this, instead of 500 WOKE channels.
