Can you show how you cut the acoustic track in the software? Since the acoustic track is shorter and doesn't fit on top of the original track, i'm interested in making my own mix. Sounds awesome!
I used Audacity for this one. I basically cut up the acoustic instrumental version, and lined up different parts with the isolated tracks to make the melodies match. To get perfect synchronisation, I sometimes only had the drum track and the acoustics soloed. Most of the acoustics are structured the same as the normal version, so it was just a matter of fading in and out to keep transitions smooth. I also added in a bit of the full acoustic version, to add in some of the clean vocals during the growling part. Also put in some of the acousic version parts in different places to mix up the melodies of the song. Have fun with it!
That doesn't help much since i don't know which parts of the acoustic version you used to fill the gaps and where. It would be perfect if you had the file up and took a screenshot how you arranged it. But thanks anyway.
