Chalkboard would give you the option of having both, “to do list” and florals with colored chalk.
Suggestion....top half of each box, one top with chalk and line one top with cork board (bulletin board type). Paint the bottom halves of each with your floral designs. You will likely "use" the top halves more for utility purposes, but this way you can add your flare as well.

1000% chalkboard. You can change it, and draw florals when you want them, but I think it would be awesome to have the flexibility for RUclips videos.
As soon as you showed those blank panels I thought “oh she needs to decorate those”!! LOL. How about doing the florals mural in chalk and change them up for each season? Whatever you decide to do though it will be beautiful!!

Well i myself am a practical type of person so i would do Chalk Board at both sides.
But why not do both; like one side be ChackBoard and the Other be Floral Design with your name. You also can tape Cardboard on one side to draw your Floral Design and whenever you got tired of the design just change the CardBoard. 😉👌😇💐
I'm not so enthousiastic about the chalkboard. What you'll write there, you can put in your bujo too. I once chose a chalkboard instead of a 'dry marker'/ magnetic board. The chalk was very dusty (always dust on the ground) and it just wasn't what I needed. I ended up taping papers and drawings on the chalkboard...
So I would paint florals, and add some calligraphy. It'll be beautiful!!

It is difficult to imagine how you would use the entire surface for the chalkboard purposes that you listed. Especially that very top and the very bottom would be difficult to write on and reference. For this reason, I think that you might enjoy decorating the majority of the area- - especially the top and bottom-- and then painting the center of each side with the chalkboard paint.
Ok. Firstly, I am insanely jealous lol. Now that's out the way, I would go option c, which is 1 panel chalk board, 1 panel floral. Win win.

Yay! Welcome to the club. It’s amazing isn’t it? I was so elated when mine was delivered... I think I was just as excited as my wedding day or close to that. It took us 8 hrs to build ours but we were tired from painting the room in preparation. The box the day before. I had to pay for mine but it was worth every penny and the company is great to work with if you have questions or issues. Mine was just fine without any damage.
Chalk paint and then you could doodle floral illustrations on it until you decide to switch it up! Love the box and the organization.
You are the best Becca. This is a maaagicaaal video..... both the options are better florals and doodles both will look elegant....weagerly waiting to see more such videos.
My suggestion would be to do floral on the top and bottom of each panel with chalk board in the middle. Can’t wait to see what you come up with. I’m sure it will look awesome. 😉
Chalk on the inside is an awesome idea. Floral illustrations would be great on the outside. I realize the florals wouldn’t be visible MOST of the time, but if you are having crafty company, maybe you could have it closed when they arrive and open it up after they have had time to soak in the beauty of the mural. I just read Kathy Lemke’s answer about the inside being chalk on one side top, cork board on second side top and painted on the bottoms. Even better!
I read some of the other comments and I totally support the "why not both?" team. The lower half will be absolutely inconvenient to draw/write on unless you really enjoy squatting on the floor. So I'd say upper half chalk board, lower half decoration, maybe expanding into a frame for the chalk board panel at the top.
My deaf/blind husband helped me put mine together. I love it. As those side panels, maybe do a combination of chalkboard and decorative borders.
I bought the magnetic sheets and have metal die cuts on them.
Ok so here's an idea...chalkboard paint that is surrounded by florals.....ie partially painted in the center in each side with chalk board paint. And then surround with your beautiful and colorful florals
I'm still chuckling at the one who said "keep the art studio & don't have the kids! :} They do change your life! but I can definitely see your little munchkins one day becoming budding artists like mommy at the bottom with their chalks having a blast! or as some mentioned a magnetic portion, which would also be great for letter magnets, etc. Happy Crafting...U are Awesome!!!
Chalk paint came to my mind the moment I saw those panels even before you suggested it. So yes, CHALK PAINT, go for it!
I am solidly in the chalkboard camp. Leaves you with so many more options. Love, love, love the dreambox!
Florals! Before you even asked the question I thought how grand it would be with your doodling designs on them! It will always look beautiful and give you a smile every time you open it.
Do one panel with chalk board paint for your to do list and tutorials. For the other panel paint it the florals so it's pretty. You get the best of both worlds!!
Becca, whoever created this HAS to be a crafter!! I'm curious about how the doors latch shut. I'm thinking if the doors are heavy and there's no way to latch them, that they will tend to slip open...also, if your floor isn't level. ???
My vote is for the chalkboards. You can then draw your florals on them, but also use for whatever else you need/want. Flexability!

I would chose the chalk on both panels. However, you could border the chalkboards with your floral designs. That way, you can have both. I LOVE this dream box. I'm already evaluating my house to see where one could fit. Thank you for showing us step by step!

Definitely do the chalkboard paint on those panels! (With maybe a floral border?) You can sketch out your project ideas, show how a project came together, write inspirational quotes, or just doodle ideas or lists (that you could even take a snapshot of for shopping, blogging, etc). Love the DreamBox. It’s definitely on my bucket list! Lol
As soon as you said you had a question about those panels I thought paint them in black chalkboard paint! I think it will look amazing against the white and like you said you’ll be able to do some chalk tutorials 😁👍🏼
Finally the secret of that big box revealed.....😂
I go with floral illustrations bcoz the whole cabinet is white,so the floral illustrations give a nice look for the cabinet and your room.

Definitely. Make it Useful. Chalkboard. You can always change it in the future... I think. I always look for more places for To Do lists and Shopping lists, etc. I often put stick it notes on the wall or scotch tape notes on the walls of my work space.

Love the Dream Box. I agree with a lot of the others-chalkboard. They can be decorated seasonally and you'd still have the practicality of using the chalkboard. Also when the Dream Box is totally opened or closed, if you just painted florals they would not be seen.

I kid you not, when you said “these panels are what I need your opinion on” I thought “chalk board ... or something true to Becca’s brand... like her awesome floral illustrations! Black and white, how pretty would that be?!” And then those are the two options you gave! 😂 My vote is for florals!

I like the idea of chalk paint so you do designs and calligraphy for the sessions or inspiration quotes etc.
Go with using the panels as chalk and then you can do florals on one side and to do list on the other, but you'd have to partially close it to see!

Chalkboard would be versatile so you can do calligraphy - To Do List and you could actually spice up your chalkboard and draw florals on the side. Best of both worlds.
Loved seeing this! I always wanted to get one. Maybe you could do both? Chalkboard on one panel and then a floral design on the other? That way you could have the best of both. If not, maybe only chalkboard. You could always draw your own floral chalk deco when you need a change. Thank you for sharing! Can’t wait till see more videos about this!
I would recommend the chalkboard as it's more functional but can also be decorative.

I definitely think you should go for the Chalk paint that way you can change things up as you go along and as your life changes over time. As you get older you realize nothing stays static and I think you need to build or plan for the future. When the time comes and you have your own little people they can help you embellish it and learn to be as creative as their mother.
Chalkboard adds fashion and function. You can put floral and use the board as needed.
I would do both! Maybe a nice Floral Desing surrounding a chalk board? ... Two chalk boards floor to ceiling is too much space

Do both, measure out a portion of the panels to make into a chalk area and have florals all around it. You won't really use the very bottom of the panel too much and standing to work out ideas and to do chalking videos would work best (i would think). that could be for one side and for the other side maybe something that you can sketch on to work out your ideas so you can save on using paper. I cant wait to see what you came up with. You are awesome

I have thought about one of these myself. My art room is also our guest bedroom, so this would be perfect! I think florals would be great for now and then when the kids come along chalk paint...they love to draw and write on the chalk board!

As for the side panels: Chalk paint would be my suggestion. You could add floral illustrations around as a border to make it look like a picture frame.
Left side for personal: calendar, magnetic board, things to do list, etc. Right side for Business: to list your video suggestions, upcoming tutorials, etc.
Chalk paint on one side so you can write notes. The other side with florals so you can stick on notes or cards that you get from all your awesome supporters!!!
Perhaps you could use chalk paint surrounded by beautiful florals on each panel! I wish I had this kind of decision to make! Stay well!
You should go with chalk paint because you can change it later on but if you want to draw on it permanently so you should go with florals☺️
I would totally do option 1 with chalkboard because you can change it out whenever you want.
Love both ideas! Chalk is cool because you could do florals on the chalk but also change it up as you like/seasons/needs! Could you add a panel of thin foam board or maybe even plywood and then it’s less permanent
When I saw them my first thought was chalkboard paint. Which gives you the ease of doodling one day, practicing another day, and decorating again
Well, since most of these were a year ago, I imagine you have done whatever it is you were going to do. I am in your Show me Your Drills class. Since I am a Mom (since you said you will be using that as a bedroom for children eventually) I would paint both sides with chalk paint. That way you can use your unbelievable talent with florals wherever you want to and change when the mood and creativity hits you, and use as a chalkboard...r which ever creator needs. AND HERE IS WHERE THE MOM KICKS IN: You can have the bottom always for your creative child/children to use when you are creating, thinking, planning jobs, etc. Your children will OBVIOUSLY be creative too and will need the chalkboard! (and it will keep them occupied.)
I think you could incorporate both the chalk and florals together!!!

Floral Illustrations! You won’t get tired of looking at something pretty & eye-catching. Chalk panels might get meh in a few years, especially if chalkboard designs aren’t as popular. Also, chalk dust.
Why not do both? One on each side? Or one with chalk paint and the other like a dry easer board so that way you can change it whenever you want. 🙏🏼💕
Chalk or magnetic paint. Either one will let you use the panels for notes, drawings, or both. Also, you'll be able to update them at will. I'm sure they'll look great whatever you choose.
I think you should go with the chalk board to use for videos and when not in use do some chalk floral doodles on them, giving you two uses. 😊
I love the idea of making them chalkboards and decorating with chalk florals if you wanted but also having the flexibility to make lists or whatever else. 🙂
I personally think that the chalk board option will be good as u can change them up quite easily and it will be difficult to remove the florals from the panels..but whatever you do i am sure it will look great...and BTW i loveee your dreambox..it truly is a dream in a box ❤️❤️
I think it would be nice to have a chalk board, so you could make future videos about it, but also it would allow you to write down you're to do list and your goals, and permit you to get more done. It would also look pretty though:)

You could always do chalkboard on those panels, and decorate the closed up panels in Florals. That way, when it is completely shut, it will be nicely decorated in florals, and when you open it to the inner panels, you have the chalkboard ready to use for demonstrations.

Great video, and it’s been 3 months, so I’m sure you’ve done something with the panels, but I love the chalk board idean!
I would paint the inside of the panels with chalkboard and the outside trim/frame of each panel paint the floral trim around the chalkboard.
Chalk board paint would be nice. That way you could make list and draw on them as well.

Hi Becca, how amazing I would LOVE a Dreambox but live in the Uk😩. As to the doors could you incorporate both by having a chalk section in the middle of one or both doors. Have fun .

How about you make those 2 panels with chalkboard and when you close the whole box you can paint the outside box with florals so both the ideas are used and the florals will give the plain white part a bit more colour 😃😃 where as the chalkboard will be useful for you to keep a note of things as well as for your doodles 🙂🙂
Chalkboard for sure! But, to add to the mix...... why not do one side chalkboard and the other side (painted in the same color) cork board so you can pin all kinds of fun stuf to it? Or is there too little space for that?

The chalk board idea seems good, but I'm wondering, will it be practical? Will you want to have the panels half-closed (in order to see and use those panels) because it seems like you'll either have it fully open or fully closed.
