    I have a Dreambox,, purchased about 3 years ago. I absolutely love it. We bought the build yourself version which took my husband about 8 hours to put together. I’ve moved it around a few times into different rooms and it’s still as good as new. I use the back of the outer door to store my metal dies, attached to the door using magnetic sheets. One thing Chloe didn’t mention is that the table is dual height, so you can set it up to work at different heights. I’m in the UK, so mine was shipped from the company’s European warehouse. The only con I’ve found is that I’m still rearranging my shelves 3 years later! x

      Art is kind of an organic thing anyway, so you will be constantly buying new things, using up or getting rid of old things, trying new projects, etc, so your storage options would undoubtedly need to be reworked to compensate.

    This looks like it would be so fun to organise, but it’s a bit sad that you can’t put anything next to it except for maybe some wall art, because you need to be able to open it up.

    I’ll say this, when it comes to organization, group like items together, either by type, or brand, or whatever you want to group them by, see what they look like in terms of total dimensions in those groupings, compare to your containers or storage solution, and then depending on those dimensions and your containers rearrange those groupings to best suit the space once you have more clearly defined it. I might buy a container for a specific storage use, but then see that something else that already has a spot fits better into the new storage option, and the items I purchased for that storage solution end up fitting better into the older storage I already had. Almost like how hermit crabs line up and trade shells with eachother.

      can you tell me what furniture you used?

    • @SidereusOfTheFallen
      @SidereusOfTheFallen Год назад +2

      @@Raediamoon Absolutely! To start with measurements, I had 2 wardrobes available, sorry but my work is in the metric system and of course I couldn't do such complex hinges and balancing before.
      Wardrobe: 210 height, 80 width, 60 depth.
      I used 2 versions of the Alex drawers, the 60x66 one under, the 36x70 on top of it, one for each side, then a Moppe mini-drawers 31x18 on each of these.
      There's more space on top that you can fill with either more mini-drawers or leave as it is.
      This is mostly because the sides of normal wardrobes do not support the weight those hinges would load. The table would be mounted on a slider in the space on the side of the lower drawers, and fastened on the shelf over them. The leg would be custom made, according to your needs and availability.
      EDit: typos and this is the old version of the design.

    Chloe: “two glue guns!” (Exclaims as though it’s amazing that someone has two glue guns. )
    Me (standing in front of my drawer full of glue guns so that nobody can see them): “yeah, that’s insane, lol.”
    I am glad that this organizer works really well for you. I looked into them when they first came out, but none of the configurations would work for my craft supplies. I ended up building my own craft space with supplies from IKEA and some wood from Home Depot. Spent about $500 total - still expensive, but nowhere near the cost of one of these organizers. I have a specific place for everything (including the large drawer specifically for adhesives that I mentioned above, from hot glue to double sided tape), and there’s room for my Cricut and Silhouette machines, as well as the supplies that go with them. And it only takes up a corner of our guest room/my craft room. So if someone wants something like this without the $4,000.00 price tag, making your own is doable. It just takes a little bit more work to get it done. (But the good news is that you can personalize it even more when you make it yourself. So it’s worth the extra work in the long run. Especially if you have bigger items that won’t fit in these things.
