Farewell Vestax. You created the best DJ controller on the market, and that's a legacy DJs will never forget. The VCI-400 is one of a kind, superb sound (better than S4, slightly better than DDj-SX), amazing build quality, super versatile, beautiful design.
I wonder if the inputs will at some point allow you to add vinyl/cd timecode control for Traktor like you can with the S4. Really liking the look of this controller. The Traktor tsi file is already up on the Vestax website. Can't include the link but if you google for "Traktor series MIDI mapping download service" you should hopefully get the page. I found it via the Support -> Download menu.
Did you put labels on this? If so where could I pick those up.. those are nice and I'm afraid it'll take me longer to learn on this is I don't label it after I map it!
How do you find scratching, cueing up tracks and effectiveness of beat matching using the pitch faders in Traktor Pro 2 with the VIC-400? I've heard on some forums that the latency with the jogs and pitch faders are pretty bad with Traktor due to the MIDI interface (as opposed to NHL on the S4)?
is it possible to (when turning up at a club, taking over from the previous dj) simply run a phono from one of the clubs mixer channels straight in to the master out on the back of the vci 400? only reason being.. most dj booths/mixers in clubs arent easy to get to and when taking out XLRs or master outs to the speakers they often crackle and pop loudly! and obviously there would be a pause in the music.........
wow. your intro graphics template is really old. let me know if you need a new one or any other motion graphic video elements. lower 3rds, bumps etc... oh ya btw great video
@mynamesmatt111 No.. you will need to run into the master mixer (like in a big club there will always be large multi channel mixer with spare channels.. then you can use the XLR leads) Otherwise if you are in a small club you will need to run an RCA lead into a spare channel input on the DJ mixer (eg on a DJM800 there is a LINE and a CD input on channel 1).. so use the line. If you club doesnt have either.. buy a Scratch patch pro from me and sell it to them. buy 5 get 1 free ;-)
Im gutted.. he said you cant mix the external line inputs through the mixer eq?? wtf? and no PHONO preamp input.. thats a deal breaker for me. Gutted.. nice piece of kit otherwise :-( If this had inputs and mixing operation like the S4, and standalone mixing ability (without pc) like a MC6000 or the A&H controller it might have made my day!

+BrassProphet I couldn't agree more. Do you still feel that way? I'm still way into mine.
awesome!!! really looking forward for the release!!
Thanks for your reply, much appreciated.
@DigitalDJTips cheers!

The Headphone volume is low on VCI 300 when playing in loud clubs, is the volume better on the VCI 400?
i noticed that that you can only change master output, how would you adjust the booth output?
does serato bridge work with the controller?
He didn't mention it works with Torq from M-Audio...
@muaythaibest1 opino igual que tu, ademas de que no tiene booth output para la monitorizacion interna del dj
do you still need an extra sound card to connect your timecode vinyls?
@ 6.10 he said you don't get EQ control over an input from a vinyl turntable or cdj??? if that is that correct, that sucks...
Are there any issues with bumping into the jogwheels on this?
definitely selling my s4... putting on craigslist tonight :)

do you have a mapping for me for traktor pro 2 ? cause i cant scratch and things..
Just ordered this for my smaller gigs. Is there a way to switch the crossfader to hamster?
@doomtomb3 S4 sucks to remap. This controller is made for the custom mapper.
is this better then the typhoon or ns6
How does this compare to the vms4.1?
how long for the ITCH?
Whats the song thats played?
this is cool , but mc 6000 is soooo good, this is not convincing me yet
do i have to have a mac?
where can I get firmware/drivers for this ?
No idea at this point in 2021
ok i just got it for $1000.00 us will it work with ITCH
isnt kontrol s4 better?

bye bye s4 hello vci 400 :D
That would be because nobody cares about most anything made/released by M-Audio :D
wouldn't pay 1000 dollars for it
In simple words S4 is likes Apple but VCI-400 likes other copy cat company
Dude this controller is over priced...vms4.1 is better...less lighting but cheaper...
imo waaay to much,
