I mean an important thing to remember is that a good portion of the fanbase has been playing GoW for at least 5 years, real old school players have closer to 9 years playing Gears games.
true
And still here I am, sucking.
mikevismyelement lol exactly,I've been playing for 10 years but just bought GoW 4 recently and since I was a lower level I was consistently called a smurf
Been playing it since 1 came out back in 06. Gears will always be my favorite shooting game.
yup thats definitely true. i just started playing gears when gears ue came out and i got wrecked pretty bad. i have a garbage ass k/d in gears ue but i at least i have a 1.17 k/d in gears 4. i need to get better though lol
"im not a great sniper" proceeds to make a headshot through a smoke with no visibility
Lol that wasn't special it was just calculated
And then the next few clips you continue to make insane headshots. But I like that you're humble.
lol y'all are great
I mean it was a pickup headshot...
For real lol
99% of the time you shouldn't roll directly at someone holding a gnasher....
but that 1% of the time, works a treat
You have to be pretty bad to miss that shot
100%
WishfulCreation that's true
CT91z agreed,100%
"Most powerful state the gnasher has ever been in."
Pretty sure you meant "most inconsistent state." I get one-shot downed from like 10ft away, but I can point blank someone 3 times with an active gnasher, and the shit would say "32% in 1 hit" even tho I hard-aimed them and saw the blood come out. Never struggled so much in a Gears game. I have a 2.1 K/D in UE, but this game has me at a 1.3.
No I meant consistent. That's just shotguns on shooters in general, it's going to have those random moments of inconsistency. But as a whole it has never been more consistent at insta-gibbing someone at such a generous range
+CT91z You must be lucky then. I had a much easier time one-shotting people in GoW UE and GoW3. I need to have twice the skill I had in GoW3 since my one-shots rarely go through on this game. I can only outplay someone so many times.
I do know how you feel there are a lot of moments and games where my shotgun wont do anything. It's usually a connection thing, we all know how flakey the shotgun has been over the years and how much connection can play into it. But honestly once you get the rhythm down it is very consistent, it's almost alwats an insta-gib in melee range. I
+CT91z I've never really had connection problems, unless you mean the dedicated servers or something. I remember the connection being wonky for about two months in Gears 3. I stopped playing because I couldn't handle it, and there goes my skill.
Just others having a better ping to the host. Just keep going and giving it your best, you can only learn with practice and adjusting to what is required in this game and I'm sure you'll find the way :) I only got to ay for a few days and I was getting pooped on until I noticed how powerful the Gnasher was and adapted to it. It was a shame not being able to run straight at people like previous Gears but that's how it is at the moment (unless they patch it). Experiment with styles and techniques.
I love how you put examples in the tip. It's very helpful.
THanks dude
CT91z ye. One of the best tutorials I've seen man. Love ur style. U got a new sub from me :)
This dude knows what he's talking about. Good video
Thanks mate
10 advanced tips on how to succeed.
1-10 use the gnasher
:(
@Overly Savage I can tell by your comment that youd be a difficult challenge have you noticed most lancer users are trash and only can get kills by holding hands with teammates and die easily 1v1
@Overly Savage nice i used to be on it on gears 3. I dont play as much anymore but ive seen people who wreck with the boltok on 4 its insane ,alright bro happy gaming
This is an amazing game. This is probably one of the last games of its kind to feel so original to how a GOW game is suppose to be played. Halo isn't the same, COD isn't the same but this feels exactly how GOW2 only just updated characters and shit
It's good
My top tip is If you have frontier internet find a new internet provider
Hahahaha
I had frontier for 2 years man I know your pain. Constant disconnects, unreliable speed and poor customer service with no techs that know what they're doing. I finally got away from it after 2 + years. May god bless you with new internet lmao.
Strafe Gaming it's funny you said that. Rat bastards turned my Internet off a couple days ago. Recently paid them and the Internet is still off. Smh
Frfr I get 2 mb download speed
WOW! Is what i got, my ping is averages between 28 and 20 consistantly , usually one of the lowest in the game
Thanks. Having trouble re-adjusting to a faster paced gears game after Ultimate Edition. Hopefully i'll be able to put some more of these to use.
Hope so!
Satan216 all of this will be learned from playing the game tbh
CT91z what's your sensitivity on gears I sub to u
Seriously, I love this video. This is like Gears multiplayer 101 for everybody. Props to you, buddy! You deserve more likes/views/subs
Thank you my dude
This one time I remembered I was was playing team-deathmatch and there was this one really annoying chick who who kept camping and and generally being a douche. well I squared up to her in a Gnasher battle. But we were both taking cover on the same cover thingamajig. Well she tried pulling me over but nope I blind fired and blew her head off. I thought i was so cool after that but thanks for reading if yah did
well done
CT91z Thanks
Ay what up very awesome man
"They won't be able to fire until they stop the animation"
That's incorrect
Hosty in my opinion, I really dislike him promoting the use of the broken rifles in this game. any of the other points I'm fine with, the Lancet and support options are gay as fuck
D3MON no I get crossed every five seconds and no the Lancet isn't balanced, it's just the in between gun between the enforcer and hammer burst. enforcer is the best up close, Lancet is best in medium to close. and hammer is best across the board at consistent op damage. not to mention the sponging in this game is horrible, I've recorded multiple clips of me point blanking people 3 times and they don't die, go down or even count as damage. I'll go around a corner and pop shot a full shot on someone point blank and the kill screen says I only did like 50% but this is all from my experience. I love gears but these are the problems I face
All the guns are balanced. You guys just don't know how to play. Stick with your team, keep your distance, use the cover, and use gnasher when it's necessary.
You are correct, my apology. However, there are very few people I find capable of effectively firing while sliding
lepiee the hammerburst is very clearly overpowered. I mean landing 3 active bursts isn't very difficult and it's pretty hard to counter it. I agree the other rifles feel pretty balanced, they just feel cheap imo. But I play mostly gnasher only so.
When you put this game in slow-motion, there's so much bullshit
Quentin McDonald , the movement is unbearable. Too slow
Intense 4 lyfe no it's not
You lying lol
Quentin McDonald and tht is whts keeping gears from going to the next lvl. its frustrating when you know you out playing these fckers but shots not counting and wht seems like they are never EVER MISSING
Hm. You worsened my cancer with the fact you missed 50% of some of the words. "wht"? Like... really? Dumbfuck.
Great Tips Man, I've been out of the fray since GOW 3 and am just jumping back into it with the 4th installment so i'm a bit rusty. Needless to say these helped get me back into the gears mindset
.Keep up the good work.
Thanks
Great video! Definitely helpful, this is my first gow game where I take the multiplayer seriously. I think this game deserves a bigger scene, as well as your channel!
Thanks man
I would like to add (if you don't mind) to wall bounce like a "pro" you have to change your controller setting from default to "tournament". so instead of your right thumb going from "A" to wall bounce then to "Right Joystick" to look and shoot , you use the "Left bumper" to wall bounce and you right thumb on the analog continues lookig around.. in other words in the default setting you wall bounce then aim during the animation, not while you press the "A" button. but in "tournament" you can aim at all times because your right thumb never leaves the analog
Agreed
Or... use the claw :v
(I know its been 9 months xD)
Trumps Latino Son For realz Probably the best tip here.
By "the shotgun has an insta-gib at such a generous range" you meant overpowered right?
Quentin McDonald you are an idiot
xSuperDuperKyle same to you fucking cancer kid
xSuperDuperKyle love you
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lörs Lärs FUCKING badass lmao
Great tips man! I'm pumped for gears 5!
Zebee Hanzo I was wondering if anyone else was watching this in 2019 😂
@@furiouslx5303 😂😂😂
me too!
just watching him steal that kill with the sniper made me cringe. something gears 4 players don't understand yet. need to learn to respect the down.
It was naughty of me, but I do respect the down.
This is a pretty accurate guide. I've always been proficient at Gears Multiplayer and everything you're expanding on is totally relevant to gameplay! Well done, bravo!
Thanks
god damn that was a great video, hopefully newcomers find this video helpful, i cannot stress how important teamwork and map control is in gow 4. also use different techniques when using a gnasher, popshotting in gow 4 is brutally effective, and if you mix it up with hardaiming and blindfiring it will definitely give you an edge during gun fights, especially if you add in movement techniques like wallbouncing and strafing. and what he said in the video about the tac com is super important to gaining map control and seeing where teammates are incase you need to regroup with your squad so definitely get used to using it cuz its very important. great video man will definitely check out more content of yours, loved how informative it was.
Thanks mate :)
yeah I'm used to being a lone wolf and getting 10-2 kills each match...now I'm getting killed so I gotta change it up.
+drake same here man...I can easily run around and put down kills in games like cod but gow is completely different ...that shit don't work round here lol
Cackling Muse lolol
xHorizon31x if I didn't lag my ass off every game I would be a huge team player
I like how it says advanced tips when it's the most basic tips in Gears Multiplayer
To someone like you, maybe
CT91z its not advanced at all. Don't call it "advanced" when you can learn the exact same info in a tutorial for beginners in gears 2 or 3.
Not everyone played Gears 2 and 3...it also takes basic concepts and elaborates on them at a higher level, which is why I labelling it advanced.
It's more "advanced" than any other video I've seen. If you have better tips then please share them because I could really use the help lol.
I've been playing since gears 1 and haven't stopped sense and I handle myself pretty well but I always go back to these videos for some much needed reminders to get myself back up to speed. These tips are simple yet great, good video
Thanks mate I appreciate that
"I heard an enemy behind me"
No you didn't.
This is Gears of War 4.
Do you not hear things? The audio was really broken in the beta but it seems to be fine now
Trout you’re probably the best instructor I’ve ever seen. You’ve helped me get to where I am today thank you bud
You're welcome bud, I do my best!
Ok im a noob to gears as ive been a playstation player the last 20 years but i love this games and getting movement etc down as quicm as possible. Great tips mate! Thanks
Thanks man hope this was helpful!
Why do I feel like i'm the only one not having an issue in this game with the gnasher? It's been consistent for me since I started.
Same
In the upcoming patch notes, Coalition acknowledged the inconsistency and are planning on making it more consistent in the next title update. I'm surprised you guys don't see it (I'm a PC player though)
I have fun being aggressive with the gnasher. I'm lucky enough to be gifted at quick decisions and outplaying the opponent with this same type of forward thinking. However, it was impressive to see my type of thinking slowed down and put so simply. You look effortless when you play. Thanks for the video man. I learned a couple valuable things.
thanks for the kind words!
lol love how ur playing these clips pretending ur actually thinking of all this mid fight ROFL.
im 3 ft away... i got 4 shots left.... theres 2 enemies at my rear.... i have an itch on my nose....
You forgot the part where I remembered I need to feed my dog.
Fantastic advice and absolutely helped me getting back into gears after all these years. I'm getting my team back together because gears is just too much fun.
Glad to help!
you forget to give us the tip of how to get away with a 100% hit of a single gnasher shot...
:s
Really appreciate the advice. Not a huge multiplayer person, mainly because I usually suck at them, but I've heard so much about Gears and with tips like these I might just give it a shot. :)
Thanks man :)
You realize you don't have to actually touch the wall when you wall bounce right?
Yes
I noticed that too, he's super late on his cancels lol
Hey man, just wanted to say I thought this video was brilliant :) I've played Gears for a lot of years but always focused on supporting the team as I'm terrible with a controller, now that there's a good PC version I'm hoping to improve my shotgun duelling. Thanks dude : )
You're welcome buddy!
Why no matter how much I watch these videos, competitive esports and observe other people while I'm waiting to respawn can I not put any of what I see in to practice? Iv played gears since the first one and I was good at it but as they have gone on I have got worse and worse.i feel like my brain totally fucking melts when I play this, I make the wrong decisions all the time, I push when I shouldn't and hang back when I should push. I learned to wall bounce in empty private then I never use it when I need to. I let my team down massively, I hugely enjoy escalation and my team is a group where 3 of the 5 are extremely good, the kind of players you know could clutch a 5v1 25% of the time. It genuinely makes me want to smash shit up when we are controlling a map and I give my life away stupidly while holding a hill. I would love to get to the point where I am a half decent player and I practice against bots to try and be better but whenever it's a real situation it all goes to shit. 😞 please God, let me get good.
Also, top player. Great videos.
FLETCHplayingSTUFF you'll get better my man i got shit on when i started playing too. i actually just started playing gears competitively 3 months ago on ue and has a garbage k/d on it. im getting better now at gears 4 though as i have 1.17 k/d but i still need to get better and wall bounce a lot more. you'll get there bro don't lose hope
Don't forget to simply have fun with it. Sometimes when you're taking a game serious you lose the easy kills from just enjoying the game. Keep changing your sensitivity and remember to change up what you do throughout a match. This is coming from someone who plays almost every shooter that comes out and is generally good. Have fun!!
And let kills happen don't try to create them..
FLETCHplayingSTUFF don't practice with bots just saying
This was a very well made video! I have played all 4 gears but the wall bounce to slide behind that dude was a pure gem! Im sure noobs will have their lives changed if they watch this..
Thanks mate, I wish I could have made it better but I was restricted on time!
RIP to the kid at 8:00
Hahahaha
I'm a very experienced gears player and honestly to be good at this game it takes practice, experience and instinct. However another large aspect of it is teamwork and positioning, also what he said was completely right about always having your teams back and not running in thinking your gonna clutch. It's great to clutch when your in social but in ranked you gotta work with your team and with what you have at your disposal
Glad to get some praise from an experienced Gears player!
Your pretty good yourself, that snipe through the smoke was pretty impressive. Can't wait for gears 5 to hopefully bring something new to the table
Thanks man, this was recorded in a few days when I was getting back into Gears after a long hiatus from it and before I switched to tournament layout! I can't wait for it as well, I loved Gears 4 but I felt like the game died out rather quickly for my liking
For some reason i fucking suck at this game. I used to be great at all gears but now i get owned all the fucking time. It makes me regret the fact that i bought this game. I tried so much stuff but the game just seems to fucking hate me.
Mick Habich gnasher is an absolute God in this game. Using anything else will guarantee death. Try playing on control settings tournament alternate, this helps with wall bouncing and such
Just play a bit slower, think about what you're doing and use actives
Mick Habich I feel you man
I know that feel bro..
Mick Habich I suck at the game too I know it is my horrible lags I sprint to cover teleport back to spawn then teleport to a place I never even walked to
I love the way you play very normal no crazy stupid movements and that makes you such a great old school player. Can you make Gears 5 tips?
I am going to do stuff for my work, check out Gfinity I'll be doing stuff there
None of this shit works if ur aiming is shit like mine.
It doesn't need much aiming just practice
Great vid mate! Hope it helps out a few people that might be new to Gears or just not playing it for a while.
Thanks mate
That's the spirit
are you joking? Gears ultimate was fucking fantastic what was wrong with it? don't talk shite. Judgement was bad.
+julesmaester That's your problem. It was very well known that it was a flop on PC. It's the best Gears to date on Xbox.
***** The pre-alpha was amazing, but I'm not calling GoW4 the greatest Gears to date just because the weapons are fucked up.
Old gow players do this stuff without thinking...i win and lose but i do all this stuff without thinking about em...very very helpful tips
Thanks
brilliant video. been watching tips vids since gears 2 and this one has topped em all! keep them coming
Thanks man will do
This explanation actually applies to a lot more than this game. Well said, subbed.
Thanks dude
I've been playing sense gears 1 and it makes me happy to see that this game made it :)
What
Subbed I like how much detail you put in for viewers it's really helpful and nice to see someone put in some extra effort too help others, also liked. :)
Thanks:)
I feel this is still a great tutorial even through all the changes ✌👍
That's was awesome to watch and listen to man. Very informative! Been playing way too much call of duty so my speed and thought processing has reduced greatly but anyways thanks for all that info budd I'm subscribing!
Thanks mate appreciate it and glad I could help
Great vid. I watch a lot of RUclips vids but never subscribe. I'll definitely look out for your vids. It's cool when someone takes the time to help learning players.
Thanks man :)
Finally got a good ad and it was an uggs ad. Tom Brady and Jules are just awesome
Lol
I already knew all this but needed to brush up!! Thanks for the video man!!
You're welcome
The actual way to be successful
Step 1: Turn sensitivity up all the way
Step 2: Have Adderall injected straight into your veins via IV
Step 3: Wall bounce like a kid with ADHD
Step 4: Abuse the Gnasher (because it is totally balanced)
Step 5: If you are stomping a team into the dirt send rude messages telling how bad they are and how good you are
and there you go 5 steps to succeed in Gears of War 4
(I am in no way saying Gears is bad in any way I am joking about how crazy some people are in this game)
Errr
CT91z But your ways usually work to lol
Good vid trout. Watching your vids reminds me of the importance to win
thanks man
One thing you should have definitely pointed out is "When NOT to wallbounce" I often times outplay people with basic strafing because they are so busy sliding as much as possible they dont have time to fight back.
Defo. I kind of touched on it but didn't specifically talk about it!
Would be a cool to see a video of Horde spawn locations so I know where to plant my frags
I don't play horde sorry dude
"Even when they're a bunch of donuts"
BRUH I'M DEAD 😂😂💀
But for real, this is a good video for newer players. Even I learned some new tips; being a player since the first Gears. Nice work 👍
Thanks buddy
This was actually a really helpful video. Well done 👍🏻
Thanks mate :)
Very good tips. Unlike a lot of other tips vids where the person uploads some footage of GOW4 & then merely regurgitates some old tips from GOW3. The weapons ARE balanced very differently in the new title & there is, i think, a lack of enemy footstep noise, meaning care msut be taken to observe surroundings.
thanks man
There -are- enemy footstep noises apparently. I've heard them a few times myself i think.
A big tip that people need to remember is not to be afraid to blind fire when in cover, especially with the gnasher. Just like in call of duty you should ADS after every corner, in GOW you should make it instinct to release a blind fire shot on the corner of all questionable pieces of cover. This will reduce damage taken and increase damage given and in rare occasions, if you are fast enough, it will kill people who are sticking the wall waiting to kill you when you don't know they are there.
I mean it helps to be over cautious than too careless
awesome vid! looking forward to getting the game
Thanks!
I love the Blue eyes White Dragon reference. well done sir... well done
Thanks
The first tip is the most important, imo.
The Lancer/Hammerburst are the most underrated guns when you're playing solo.
Agreed
Really I do these things, but the execution of the video was great, and I won't dislike because I know it all, but I will like because of how well done this is and how well this may help others
Thanks
Thanks for the video! Very helpful for cementing important Gears concepts.
thanks!
Good tip is to go into controls and switch "A" to "LB" so you can wall bounce without taking your finger off the right stick
Yeah did that after making this tutorial :)
Amazing tips if you can master this and use an elite controller you will have a huge advantage.
Thanks
This dudes incredible with the longshot
thanks bro
top 10 advanced tips...
1- somersault
2- somersault
3- somersault
4- somersault
5- somersault
6- somersault
7- somersault
8- somersault
9- somersault
10- take cover or shoot
**remember who ever is the best tumbler wins, lol
Lol
Another tip is play core without any expectations because the weapon tuning is so OP, it's designed for new people to get some kills..... basically it's the call of duty playlist.
it is a lot easier
I found out by playing every gears game on insane all the way through will make you a better gears gamer to
I imagine so!
This video and the tips you release are very ingenious
Thanks
Good stuff I'd like to see a shot of how your hands manipulate the controller during your examples
I'll keep it in mind for future reference
Wall bouncing has always been rough for me in GOW series. Hoping I can change that. Great tips. The only thing is, randoms dont work together well. lol From my experience I play with randoms= lone wolf gameplay. Hardly any have mics to talk and worse, just go for exp cards. Makes it hard.
Agreed, they are terrible to work with sometimes.
good guide man helpful for making the jump from horde to versus
you're welcome!
This helped improve how I fought drastically. Cheers, mate.
you're welcome mate
Damn felt like I sat through a 20 min class 😂 tbh it was a great commentary and video I actually learned a lot thanks
Glad you enjoyed 😊
very great video! thanks for sharing. I took all this in and plan to apply and practice. :)
you're very welcome my man
playing before and after watching this..i have to say- helped alot! 😆💀
This was very helpful!! Thank you so much dude!!
you're welcome
loved it. very well thought out and explained
Thanks
This video was so helpful! Thanks so much for making this video! If you have anything else to share, I'd love to hear it! I subscribed and I'll be watching for more videos! Thanks!
Thanks mate :) I'm sure I can whip something up!
Based on this video, you are incredibly skilled at Gears 4 multiplayer. I'm new to Gears multiplayer, so watching you play and learning your tips really helped me a lot. Anything else you got will be great! :)
More videos like this please!!!!! This was so helpful
I'm glad I could help
best gow 4 tip vid out there
Thanks
make sure you up your sensitivity too, this will allow you to turn quicker and give you an advantage over people who have a default sensitivity and it helps with wall bouncing and such
I have a default sens, I like it.
***** I found that 15-20 works really well
good mechanics, definitely going to implement some to my game. Great video
Thanks dude
CT91z you’re welcome
great tips that put a lot of experience into a video!
Thanks dude
Very well made video. Loved it esp the examples.
You're welcome
Great video just one more thing for beginners or people that want to get better don't take your teammates kills unless they are killed or can't get to the person they downed don't take it haha
Yeah more of an eticet hing rather than tip :)
nobody gonna mention the shot that was sponged at 14:13?
:(
not saying it wasn't a good turn around but let's be real here, if the game worked properly you would've been gibbed horribly.
I mean you can say that about a lot of things
Oh I do. I don't want to ruin the lesson plan because it's a good structure. Just surprised that among all of the people mentioning the lack of a wall cancel but not the just as noticeable sponged shot from behind was odd.
Great tips. The whole stop rushing thing is sutin i gotta work on.lol. sometimes it works, MAJORITY of the time it dosent especially on core where the gnasher is like a sniper😂😂😂
I mean it's all situational. Sometimes if you're having a bad game, just slowing it down a bit and thinking rather than acting can work wonders.
This is kinda funny, I've played all the GoW games (except Judgement) I was about 7 when I played GoW 1 and loved it, played all the way up to three. My thing though with Gears is I never really did enjoy PvP (except Gears 3) the GoW UE PvP experience however ruined that for me with the whole horridly unbalanced teams and clunky controls, I wasn't always a fan of the bouncing and the total bias towards the gnasher has always put me off, but this video was very helpful :)
Thanks:)
playing hardcore campaign right now it would be cool to get the coop achievements if you wanted to help eah other get that
One of the smartess vid out there. Great tips!!!
Thanks man
I suck big time at this game but I wanna become good soooo badly!!! Some got it naturaly some need lots and lots of practice. Im in the second categorie and even there Im wondering how good can I get if ever I can any good it. I Loooove this game, but Im having trouble in pvp and Im not a good player right now. My use of th Gnasher needs massive improvement and so my wall bouncing... Which mode could I play right now which would help me put all these tips in practice.... Im really looking for a practice program like a gym program but for GOW players lol. First time Im willing to put the effort and time to improve would it be even for only a little bit of improvement as long as I get better at it.
Bro!!!! I actually got better just in one day applying few of ur tips!!! My k/d ratio already improved!! Thank you very much
Another tip, put your controller scheme to tournament-alt. It will pay off in the long run
Yes good advice, I've been playing on the default layout since GOW1. If I had the time I'd probably switch.
CT91z it also helps so you don't Accidentally roll instead of getting into cover.
Mouse and keyboard.
Advantages: Fast and consistent flick shots with the gnasher
Disadvantages: Pretty much everything else. Cannot wall bounce.
thanks for that
very useful. thanks. i ' d learnt many things for the battle 👍. some times it depens of the connection you have. advantage or.not. im talking about the damage for the better connection
Hope this helps you!
Great Work, very helpful!
thanks bro glad to hear
best gears tips on youtube
Thanks dude
one question when someone wall bounces can you use the Lancer chainsaw to break it
Sort of
