- Hey Friends! It reach a year again, since I last straighten my hair, and every year I always figure out ways to better protect my hair from the heat. I have mad respect for anyone with hair as long as yours, since I used to have long hair when I was young, but extra respect for anyone who goes to the effort to straighten curly hair as you have in this vid. That is a lot of work I never faced, go props to you for working it so well.

You probably won’t see this but here’s an amazing tip that greatly improves the strength of the hair:
Brush your hair before washing your hair, then when shampooing your hair aim it on your scalp, the excess shampoo from washing your scalp will wash down onto the rest of the hair leaving it clean, when conditioning do the exact opposite and base it on the ends and mid length of the hair. Your natural oils are plenty enough to condition your roots so conditioning them is unnecessary. Hope this helps
Edit: I have long hair as well and this has really helped me because washing your hair often is bad for it , not to mention when you condition the roots it gets greasy quicker

Okay you did great... we have similar length and texture (I’m black and Asian too) but to make your life easier.... get a turbie towel. Leave it on for an hour or two. Then wrap your hair around your head and blow dry for maybe another half hour. Once you unwrap it it will mostly be already straight and you can flat iron your hair with less heat and get done in half the time! It also helps your products get inside the hair shaft when you do it this way rather than sit on top.

Rice water rinse after shampooing will do the trick for your hair blow dry after then use coconut oil and style as usual. The results will start to show shortly after a few days to weeks.
I am going to make a suggestion. If you are going to straighten your hair even if it is only once a year use a straightener that has steam. I use it on my 10 year old daughters hair who has hair like yours and her hair is past her behind. It prevents heat damage
I may look into that myself. My hair is by my shoulders and ive been using the standard stuff lol.

💞Beautiful hair. You'll need 2-3 hrs with enough practise. I'd also just let my hair dry overnight to cut down on blow drying time. It's pretty much the same in texture length.

Maybe you should invest in a 2 inch flat iron since you have so much hair. You would be able to flat iron more hair at once cutting down the amount of time. Just a tip.
