I got the same thing as a kid hell even at 21 some people still confuse me for a woman i dont get upset at it now. Tell him to keep wearing his hair how he wants, and dont let them try and convince him to cut his hair. That's his look.

Yes Gio, Mom has the kung fu grip on those braids! Lol!! Not tight & pulling the brains out like some African braiders--but a good, consistent, pattern braid--definitely old school. I love that your hair is healthy first & beautifully long, second. I use to live in Hawaii when I worked for Northwest Airlines & it was normal to see Samoan, Hawaiian, & Pacific Island Men with long hair. Definitely ALL male & sexy in their own skin. Don't worry about the haters who may be going bald or women who abuse their hair--for that is why they can't grow it long (fried, dyed, & laid to the side). Be yourself & keep inspiring others!! I just wanted to make a suggestion, instead of using a bristle brush for detangling or getting out knots try using a denman brush or a tangle teezer so it won't rip out your hair if it gets snag on a knot 👍🏽
