It's funny that you did this because earlier today I went out to gamestop to pick up a steamcard and while I was looking around, lo and behold they had a number of Collector's Edition indie game from IndieBox and they were on sale! I couldn't help myself and grabbed half of what they had. Axiom Verge, Guacamelee!, Stories: The Path of Destinies and Jotun. Now, they didn't have all of the cool additional stuff that your boxes included, which did kind of bum me out a little bit. But, It's all good! Each one comes in a metal game case with awesome artwork on the front, an install disc, official soundtrack disc, a steam key and of course those beautiful fully colored game manuals! I couldn't be more happy with it.
i understand this wasnt sponsered, but you should look into getting a deal, dude! As someone who loves 80's 90's gaming, this stuff speaks to me on soooooo many levels. sold.
MetalJesusRocks hey, you might want to pick up some steel book editions for some of these games while they're still available at Gamestop! They're being clearanced out now, and becoming more difficult to find. I know of Axiom Verge, Jotun, Nuclear Throne, and Guacamelee.
With PC games I often go for just complete with artwork jewel case copies of the games, then I started going after Indiebox copies of newer ones a few months ago!
Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime Guacamelee Axiom Verge That's what's up. All these games are fantastic. Gucamelee was one of my favorite games to be released in 2013, of all years. It's an absolute hidden gem, as Metal Jesus would call them. 😊

As someone who avoids digital downloads at all cost, this really makes me happy~ I have one question tho: Can you play directly from the installation CD/USB without redeeming the Steam Key-?? I don't have any experience with such doodads... You say it's "DRM free," so does that mean I can bring it over to a friend's house to play-!?
You don't play them form the CD/USB you install from there, so you don't need it in to play. Though be warned some of the USB ones have issues, though if you run into any their support is usually very easy to work will. My Guacamelee one had corrupted files, and they just sent me the installed files no questions asked.
These are really cool collector's editions indeed. They are DRM free which makes them even better. I love physical copies when it comes to video games compared to digital copies which I've never cared for. Mark Petocz commented: I believe they are being clearanced out for $10 now. So I can go to Gamestop's site right now and pick them up for $10 on clearance?
I never thought it would happen, but I've ended up with a couple video game ties now from collectors editions. Honestly, sometimes it's cheaper to get ties through CE's than buying them on their own in stores haha.
It's So great these company's are doing stuff like this now. First and third party company's need to take note, this really gives the customer incentive to purchase physical releases of games, which we need, as consumers, to keep alive! Great video!
MJR best video in a while! I like PC games. I remember I waited forever to play Axiom Verge on Wii U and ended up not liking it because it was too much like Metroid. I am a Metroid fan but why not just play Metroid.
Rob Allen it is like it's Super Metroid with even more to do in it. It's fine if it's like Metroid because i'd rather have something to do instead of waiting GOD KNOWS how long for another 2D Metroid game.

The IndieBox gang have superb customer service as well. I had an Apotheon copy that had corrupted data, and wouldn't work. I sent an mail and got a reply really fast. They sent me a link to a code that had the full game to download. Problem solved. Go IndieBox!
every time you do a pc centered show i notice that copy of revenant behind you. i really dug that game despite it being buggy, tho your copy looks like a box. i recall it coming in a trapezoid or pyramid box.
I remember those old copy protection schemes. The ones that stick out the most are from Sierra, and those darn trick stopped me from finishing Leisure Suit Larry 2(?) Something about plane tickets. I do remember one having as red plastic film you had to place over a random page in the instruction booklet.
Infocom had the BEST packages. Great games too. Played every one of them. Ahh the days before graphics LOL! Super Win is just badass tho - Gonna pick that up!

I saw it as, "I didn't play the games, so why bother." However, they're like records or laser discs (which I kind of collect) you get this big gorgeous version of it.

You get both. The disc/USB has all the unprotected files on it (or an installer that gives them to you)
The cloth map for Dust looks more like a gaming mouse pad. But that Stanley Parable Indiebox looks awesome!
