    Yes 5E players have no clue what is coming! Edition Wars! I plan to release a free Legacy Edition to match the 50th anniversary.

    As a Legacy player with over 30 + years of play and 800+ D&D modules; no character is OP. The DM simply does not have the game IQ to counter the min max builds. The average 5E player has less than 100 total hours of experience.

      Legacy players do not get the rules mixed up, we have 30 years of design solutions. All editions are adaptable. The Lore is scattered between all editions. There are popular youtubers covering D&D who dont even know what planescape is and have no clue about the city of Sigil.

      To scale starting Attributes give players between 70 and 90 points to distribute. This allows the DM to control the campaign. I like 77 starting points, while high powered players like over 85 points. This has been used since the 80s and 90s. There is always a simple fix. 5E players are so stuck in the box...lol.

      To counter high AC on metal armor.... ummm heat metal.... a solution since the 70s guys!

      Elves have countered magical flight for Eons, High Elvin Magic creates dispel magic arrows.... again a solution that has been in D&D for decades.

      Yes archers for 1000 of years on this planet have a range of more than 120' WOW common sense.
