Can we just appreciate how the slow motion at 1:02:15 lined up for all 3 stories? Didnt even notice at first, this man put so much effort in the smallest details, and it shows!
It’s like that for all the slo mo
1:10:35
One thing I love with this specific sequence between King and the stickmen is that each stickman coming up to fight has a theme behind it.
1:10:39 Red was the first to be corrupted by the Minecraft Block (via herobrine) and the one who suggested they follow Purple, so it makes sense that he now feels responsible for all of what’s happening.
He also attacks for his classmates and headmaster/possessor who were just erased.
1:10:46 Green entering almost instantly to save Red is ironic considering he was imprisoned 3 times this season and had to wait a considerable amount of time before the others saved him.
He also holds a personal grudge against the King as he’s encountered him the most and is carrying Purple’s need for vengeance as well.
1:10:56 This fight serves as a mirror again between the King and Orange, as through the season, the two always have a “dark and light” theme between them.
Orange for a short moment, represents what’s left of King’s good conscience, holding him back from attacking Blue in that second, so when King erases Orange, he’s erasing the only positive parts of himself.
1:10:57 Blue takes up a surprisingly short amount of time considering he kicked off this season, but once again, he takes his role as the support of the cast and an opposite to King, (by colour only)
1:11:07 Purple, now reconciled with his past, brings King his own past in this fight. Instead of a straightforward assault, Purple throws Yellow, the same colour as King’s son, towards King.
However, King naturally dismisses Purple as he has for the past season and focuses instantly on Yellow.
1:11:08 King struggles or hesitates for a second when attacking Yellow, but then treats his erasure with a lot more brutality than the others, probably because he sees it as erasing his past.
This comments deserves to be recognised so much more.
And yes, the attention to detail is second to none!
I honestly cried the first time I watched all of this
wow, i didn't realize that when yellow attacked king he reminded him of his own son

Thanks
Wow bro how did you spot thar I was focusing on tsc and red 😂😂😂😂😂
The fact that The Chef was posted 1 month after this video goes to show that Alan makes plans ahead of time.
Things I noticed that other people might have missed:
At 21:30 one of the potion effects is "Techno Power", which could be a Technoblade tribute, theres also a "Gotta Go Fast" one too.
Orange does some ice skating 49:27
King Orange doesn't give a damn, literally pushes them away with little movement 1:09:04
At 1:11:07 King Orange looks at purple for just a moment after launching purple, probably foreshadowing his realisation.
King Orange has already won, but he realises that his revenge for his son which means destroying Minecraft has gone too far as to doing the same to go through with his intentions. King Orange is killing purple with Minecraft like how Minecraft killed his son. 1:12:40
At 1:14:40 The drawing of King Orange hitting the Minecraft block with Gold could mean him destroying Minecraft because of Golds death(mentally) while it switches to purple which could mean him destroying Minecraft using Purple(physically).
At 1:17:27 when Purple passes the crown onto Reuben could mean another tribute to Technoblade.
Herobrine clunks 1:15:54
About Purple and King Orange is that they never knew each others backstory, Purple didn't know King Orange had his son taken while King Orange didn't know Purple lived with abusive dad. In 1:02:11 when Purples dad switches to King Orange could mean that 1. Purple wants their dad to be proud of them. 2. Purple thinks of King Orange somewhat as their dad.
The stickmen lined up in a rainbow in 21:58
The season starts with chirp playing, and it ends with chirp playing.
Truly, just truly a beautiful series.
a small detail i noticed was at 1:01:11 the king just threw the gold block not realizing it would risk giving them something if they got the staff back, while at 1:04:08 the king learns from his mistake and destroys the block fearing he might risk losing the staff and giving them a resource.
I ain’t readin allat (joke I actually did)

The sugar cane transformed stickman played around with his abilities around 13:30
One thing I don’t see anyone talk about are the “extra” content we get from this, just shows how much Alan cares about us by making the storyline coherent ( for context I thought he was just going to line up the episodes in real time, not add more things)
Exactly, watching two Piglins seeing how Green is escaping is just hilarious
Anyone could've lined up the episodes. Alan made it _real_ real time.

Alan Becker is the true definition of "show, don't tell". An amazing story, told without any spoken language.
Weird to think that this whole season started because of blue's netherwart addiction.
Underrated comment
The spoken language is the Σ hand motion
Along with his animation team, of course.
"Show, don't tell" may often be a phrase applied to in certain RPGs as well, so it would make sense why some parts of the story feel so impactful.
@@tanktuber39 but DJ said similar 2 years ago, but whatever i guess

49:32 is making me wanna cry look at purples reaction to being betrayed by king orange its so sad (also I'm a huge fan of the entire parkour in real time section, specifically Orange, because his is literally just Loony tunes the entire time while pissing off the pigling brute, and blue trying to get out of the first section because its cool to see his character displayed with him only trying fighting as a last resort)
The parkour section shows off all their character perfectly tsc and red mainly using brute force, plus that bit with red getting mad makes me feel like he's a little self conscious of his strength, sense he was the strongest before tsc came along. Yellow being the weakest physically and using the piglins strength against it, blue wiping the floor with the parkour being the most acrobatic, plus at the start with the piglin blocking the way blue seemed a little innocent to me with how long it took him to realize his friends weren't coming. Finally green with their quick thinking and decisive actions. To me red seems to act the youngest with blue and yellow being the middle children, green feels like the 2nd oldest trying to make sure everyone is happy, he acts sorta like the middleman between tsc and the other three, and ofc tsc himself the tired oldest one who has been trying to keep everyone safe (sometimes too safe) and just want's some rest. Well that was a quite a rant but that just shows how great this series is and how inclusive it is, being able to interpret their actions in so many ways.
@@endysfunland1006 I have been thinking about doing a timestamp of that section to break it down but those things no joke, take me about 2 hours and I just haven't had that time yet.
It was said by Alan somewhere that Blue is a bit of a hippie, and doesn't like violence all together, but does abandon that moral when his friend's lives are at stake, we can see that he resorts to fighting the Piglin Brute alot later than most of the others, simply because like I said, he would only go lethal if the other's were in danger
1:07:29
I feel like this is where Herobrine realized that he was screwed. It looked like the King didn't even know he could do that either, but this was definitely a turning point.
The level of attention to detail and maintaining consistency just by adding new scenes to make the experience more enjoyable for us is astounding.

Love it! I know people believe the ending means king was doing what he was going against (with purple) but how I feel about this is that they were father and son or at least purple saw the king as one. I think this points to how everyone sees their parents (as a grim figure who doesn't care) VS how they actually are and what their intentions are (protecting at all costs willing to destroy worlds for them) and vice versa how parents see their children being all happy (yellow) while they face sadness and depression (making them darker being purple).
To be honest the fact that people (like me) can connect on so many levels and getting so deep with it shows how strong the script is.
Keep up the good work Alan!

I don't know if anyone's talked about this, but I think that the way the music lines up and switches between each theme deserves a ton of credit! How much the different melodies bring to the table can't be understated.
the most noticable part about the music is at 59:22, where monster school and the warden are modified to work together

and the new SFX are AMAZING as well! gives it so much more detail!
the storytelling in this entire series so so astounding, massive props to alan and the team!
I Like this... But This... This... IS CINEMA!
The music that is most prominent during 1:13:29 fits so well with the sequence between the King and Purple. It got me crying even more honestly because of how beautifully tragic it all was for everyone.
First of all, like the background for The King and Purple both having such contrasting colors shows how their life was already like/how it changed. For Purple it was already a dark past (dead mom, bad dad). However, for The King, we see that it was white (to signify the happy life he had with his then-alive son) then it turns to grey (how dull his life became as he detached from reality to focus on destroying the game that destroyed his son), then to black (to show how he slowly becomes the villain) but also how he finally connects with Purple, finally seeing they were what they were missing all along (Purple wanting his dad’s approval and The King wanting vengeance for his son).
And notice how for both shots and the very end of this sequence, it’s The King and Orange that finish it all off, a perfect parallel to each other. The King reconciles with Purple and Orange getting the game icons back to where they belong (outside of the game and into the computer). Since the King and Orange almost have the same color, I feel like you could see it as The King coming into terms with his grief as before he quite literally (when he was chasing Purple into the void) and metaphorically let go of the game he was playing. And since Purple is the opposite of Yellow in the color wheel, The King finally accepts Purple into his life, seeing the son that he lost in Purple.
This whole series was such a a masterpiece and it would be so cool to see something like this again in the future.
Also little side note, notice how during Green’s scenes with Purple, this is the only time we see a 3D perspective of a different character other than Purple and The King? I guess you could sort of count Orange and Red’s moment when they meet Alex (the player from the other computer) but since most of the time the OG characters are seen in this 2D perspective, it’s a fun thing to see one of them run in a direction other than left and right from the screen.
Better than any movie i've ever watched. We get to see character growth, amazing fight scenes, sad backstories, amazing heart to heart moments and so, so much more. Truly a masterpiece

I still cannot, and will never, get over just how amazing this series has been, since the very start, since I first watched AvA 1. And just the amount of power and feeling you can put into something with never, ever a single word uttered, and practically no facial expressions whatsoever. It's just... absolutely beautiful. I am so glad to have stumbled upon AvA 1 by random happenstance so many years ago now. This has been great, and I can only look forward to more--- keep up the good work, Alan. You're absolutely amazing.
C- well congrats!

i enjoyed this video😊 i'm fan of alan
never have i felt this much emotion when watching an animation.
glad i am that it had a good ending.
This is quite impressive. Having multiple split screens sure does make a unique impression. Focusing on one aspect and how it connects is very interesting. Kudos Mr. Alan Becker for the wonderful animation.
I haven't watched Animation vs. Minecraft in like 4 years xD. I guess I have a lot of catching up to do lol
@@LavaCreeperPeople yea, A LOT

the transition between red and TSC at 34:34 is actually really smooth and clean
TSC? You mean the TSO like the second one, or I don't get it
@@TheKing_of_nothing TSC is short for The Second Coming since that's the name he was given back in his Animation vs Animator debut.
Whoaaaaa you’re right!!
Strong animation, at the end I almost burst into tears 💪🥲 1:12:26

I really like how the note block universe music works with the other episodes 1:00:42

I will never forget the fact, that the only thing the Warden thought about before being eliminated, was to help to The Second Coming, while the rest, all they thought about was trying to escape or giving their last
So precious ;[ I want a pet warden now
Man, just . . . this. This series is one of the greatest I've ever come across, both in terms of animation and story. The concept is so simple but in draws you in so completely. You forget that you're watching multi-colored stick figures in Minecraft. The characters speak volumes even though they can't talk. You connect with their personalities and their struggles, wants, and desires.
The animation is so smooth and the fights are a real highlight. There's so much going on and I'm always finding new stuff when I rewatch an episode. Each character has their own style of how they fight and what they fight with. They work well together, seamlessly bouncing off their friends like well rehearsed choreography. Each character has their own 'thing' that contributes to how they act and what they do on a regular basis.
Everyone has their favorites, but I think the story of Purple and King Orange is a real highlight for all of us. Both had their families ripped apart and both tried to find a way to fix that. They ended up finding each other without really realizing. King Orange became the father Purple longed for and Purple became King Orange's son, fixing the gaping hole in his heart and mending some of his hurt. I think we can all agree that it's a very happy ending.
Before I go, I want to talk about how beautiful the ending of this season is. It does a few things to call back to the original Animation vs. Minecraft (like Herobrine possessing Red again) but the most prominent thing is the final charge to stop the apocalypse. It doesn't take much to realize it's very reminiscent of when Orange and his friends fought to dunk the sourceblock in the trash bin and keep it away from Herobrine. Seeing everyone work together like they did then (with the inclusion of Red this time) is absolutely beautiful. Words can't quite describe it. It feels very conclusive and I thought it would be the end. I was very happy when another episode came out after this and confirmed that things would continue.
So I guess, in conclusion, thank you so much to Alan Becker and his team for doing all of this for us. It's downright incredible. It's amazing! Keep doing what you're doing. We'll be with you every step of the way.
The thumbnail is so fire 🔥
1:12:02 The entire sequence after this is very much a Castlevania "I'm killing our boy" moment.
I'm *speechless* how good it is to review this, and as if this was a real Netflix movie for me, that's what I was really needing, Alan must definitely be the 1st person in the world to create a magnificent series, if it were to rate I would give more than necessary, thank you *Alan Becker* for making this series so amazing with your helpers. I'm really happy to see it again with some extra scenes.
Las escenas extras estuvieron muy buenas 😁
The attention to detail at 12:50 is amazing because Blue starts moving around like crazy because he's in the Witch's inventory
oooooh that's why he was moving. I figured he was in her inventory but just blanked on that part.
oooh
FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED.
Interesting how it seems like Blue is the closest thing to a pacifist in the group. He's still trying to walk past the piglin guard when all the others have pulled out swords already.
Remember a hero would sacrifice you to save the world a villain would sacrifice the world to save you
Insane how much extra animation was added to make all the times line up, amazing job by the team for making it so seamless and putting so much effort into action that is often happening while the screen is split 6 different ways
Alan becker will down his channel
I honestly can't believe this entire season all started with some bum ass nether wart addiction
The ending gets me every time, Alan. You and your team have done such an amazing job at what othera couldn't. I cannot applaud enough how all this is so closely knit together. You all truly care about the movies produced, and as an audience we can only applaud more and more as we see what more is being produced. I had goosebumps at the end, god damn it!!

well technically the king and purple would have still been trying to destroy minecraft so purple would've found them anyway
If someone detacated their entire day to watching one of these at a time I would love it
Edit: i 👍my comment
wauw, phenomenal as always, 1 lost their dad, 1 their child, but they finaly found eachother
My theory is that Pink is King Orange's eldest sister... That would make Purple his estranged nephew!
57:45
That timing when the sound of Green noticing purple was just so perfect when Steve approached the Red and his team.
I thought you meant herohrine for a second
Also when the villagers turned
I never would have expected to see Red at monster school, Green in a musical paradise, Orange getting hunted by the Warden, and Blue & Yellow building a resistance movement all at once.
And two of those is understandable
At the bottom left corner, you can see Blue was holding a piece of paper. Which was a reference from "The Chef". (Which was at 55:12)
As someone who didn't watch each episode individually its really fun to see how all the events link up together, and all the surprises that comes with watching multiple timelines at once. I sometimes have to rewind the video to focus on another person's perspective to get what suddenly happened in the perspective of the one I originally focused on. For example, I was watching Orange coming back to fight The King with the Warden when suddenly Blue and Yellow emerges with a giant Ravager! I was so shocked so i had to rewind it and it was nice to see the lead up to those events
I'm astounded that you not only reedited bits of the episodes for this, but also REORCHSTRATED the earlier episodes without music. The soundtrack is incredible well done ❤
