As the 2024-25 Rolex SailGP Championship heads to New Zealand, ROCKWOOL Racing SailGP Team will be looking to improve on the 8th place achieved in light-wind conditions at the season opener in Dubai, and build on the first fleet race win of 2025.
The inaugural event in Auckland promised consistent breeze, and with the fleet switching to the newly introduced T-foils, whoever adapted quickest would reap the rewards.
And after the departure of fan-favourite Hans-Christian Rosendahl in Dubai, there would be another major announcement made in Auckland by one of the team's longest serving athletes, having a significant impact on the line-up for the remainder of the season.
With a sold-out grandstand on the waterfront, a strong breeze and new technology on the F50 - Auckland promised to be one of the best events in the history of SailGP.
