The EV industry has had an immeasurable impact on the upgrading and transformation of the power industry. China, being the largest producer and consumer of solar panels, is constructing massive photovoltaic power stations in its western deserts to replace coal power. Pollution from coal power in China is rapidly decreasing, and significant progress has been made in long-distance power transmission technology. As a result, Beijing’s air pollution problems are gradually improving.
I work in the Energy industry very close to key decision makers. They are already diversifying away from oil. 40% of oil demand is from transport and due to China leading the charge with EVs, that demand is dropping like a stone. There is also over-supply in the market which will get worse, OPEC will almost certainly cut production further to try to stabilise the price in the $70-80 zone for as long as possible. Anyone long oil is screwed. There is a reason Saudi Arabia is diversifying its economy.
The thing is there will always be a use for oil, this just insures that oil will last much longer in the future, so it’s actually a good thing, maybe not so good for oil producers, but certainly for the rest of us,

It’s not, but there are also lots of other innovations that are coming online that will drastically reduce gig emissions. Just think of the 25% of global green house emissions that are industrial based. Much of that can be replaced by thermal heat storage powered by renewables. Also half of global shipping is to move oil around. When that’s gone it also eliminates a huge source of the dirtiest fuel burnt. District and area heating fuelled by thermal storage powered by renewables. Home furnaces will move to heat pumps which are more efficient, and can be fueled with home based solar. Anyway you slice it we are going to cut our emissions in half in the coming decade, for one simple reason, economics.
Then you would be grossly exaggerating since there are only 40 m EVs in the World but oil use is still growing and it has ben calculated that is all current IC cars globally were replaced by EVs it would only reduce oil consumption a maximum 10% but that is not a possibility since there are not enough of the required minerals being mined or likely to be mined in the next 10 - 15 years and if there were there is not enough power capacity to charge them as a reasonable cost in competition for that power from AI, digital currencies and other internet uses. It is not even rue of China whose oil imports are rising year on year.
@@Wasengenyie You are assuming oil is only used for transport but that is a minor use. Most is refined for the chemical industry to make plastic and especially the plastics that go into clothing. I think you should become familiar with the facts and not the fiction that FF companies and far right wing media put out. Experts have modelled emission pay back time for EVs as between 6 months (Norway with mostly renewable energy) to 5 years (Where coal is the main source of electricity). Worldwide power electrical generation is becoming more renewable whether you like it or not, so EV emmissions pay back will reduce as time goes by. Go Google the facts. There are many well researched articles explaining how much better EVs are for the environment as well as saving people money in the long term.

As an EV owner - here in Europe - I think this video’s creator is losing the run of himself - it’s far from clear that China can continue to provide the levels of subsidies that it has been providing (basically China’s public finances are in poor shape - check informed videos on RUclips if you don’t believe me); secondly the spending power of your average Chinese has declined (plenty of stories of Chinese industrial workers being owed wages for 5 or more months - check the videos) - so it is to the rest of the world that China must expect to sell all its EVs; unfortunately EV purchases of models such as the competitively priced BYDs are far from spectacular in W. Europe and N. America - people are hanging on to their ICE cars as they face rising food and energy bills and rents - also there simply isn’t the car charging network sufficient to make wide scale adoption of EVs feasible - and - in W. Europe anyway - it’s doubtful the huge additional amount of electricity generation needed to power the millions upon millions of EVs (that the Green lobby envisages) can be brought on stream anytime soon. Conclusion - I like the fact that my EV doesn’t spew out stuff that pollutes the air - but - whatever about the long term - China may - in the next 5 years - have the highest number of EVs on the road of developed countries but I doubt that - even in 10 years - the rest of the world will see an EV revolution - more likely a severe, prolonged recession !

Correct but passenger transportation is the low hanging fruit for EVs in their infancy. As energy density improves and charging infrastructure becomes as common as gas stations are today, other facets of the economy will transition.
The video cover picture is a joke to me. BYD Shark is PHEV, that means it is refuelable. So the oil will not end.
Well oil prices have to come down a bit we pay 2 euro per liter where i am for years now.
China wasn’t heavily invested in fossil fuels because they have to import most of their oil and gas.
Slow down in oil but a new coal plant is opened every week……..
India should follow ! Indian cities are so polluted
This is going to be very bad for Russia. I mean they have nothing else to offer except oil and gas. At least the Saudi’s recognize that and are divesting their economy to other things.
They have outstanding engineers in all areas, talented software engineers are particularly valuable these days. They could go back to exporting top talent.
@@CesarAnton Oh! They already have! Russia's best young engineers and promising entrepreneurs left the country by the hundreds of thousands, if not a million or so, in September/October 2022!
@@st-ex8506 You are talking crap , Russia have just beaten ASML in lithography machines , and without Russia you can kiss the nuclear industry goodbye and they lead in just about all industrial tech and their weapons cream anything the west has !!!
Russia has GAS(LNG) and Oil. China still needs oil for their Ships and Air Crafts. Power plants also use LNG . And Hybrid Vehicles will still use Oil.
@ but all those uses of oil and gas are 80-90 % going away within the next next 20 years!
So, Russia (as well as a number of other countries) is financially toast in the not so distant future.
Oil executives know it very well!
Yet GHG are accelerating upwards at their fastest ever rate so i guess just focusing on ev for a climate solution is nowhere near enough .
I doubt its Electric cars, no one wants them. We do want, and are buying e-bikes and e-scooters however. Thats probably why demand for oil is falling.
A demand reduction of about 5% creates a price decline of about 40%
@@Wasengenyie You are assuming oil is only used for transport but that is a minor use. Most is refined for the chemical industry to make plastic and especially the plastics that go into clothing. The increased global population and increased wealth of the global South will increase this and other markets for refined oil. Also, Opec and others adjust demand to keep the price up.
Good job China
What if I told you 2025 is going to be awesome for energy stocks and no EV
to win the economic war, comes from one thing (energy cost)
Will not happen when Hydrogen powered is released
MORE OIL AND GAS FOR US
👍😲 OH NO
And when China cuts 90% of there oil usage then the world will be watching 😂.
Funny part is everyone else could have done it too
It will have no impact!
why people complain about subsidy.i say. lets give subsidy to all green enegy related industried .lets compete in which country can make world a better place by give subsidy more to the industry
Sorry they would´t make any EV at all without oil...
Is this written by an AI?
Show the graph of China's coal consumption, then you will know where all this "green" change comes from.
But for the cities it is indeed good, less exhaust fumes but for the environment nothing changes.
Last year ONLY 1 Coal Power Plant was APPROVED. After 2025 there will be NO LONGER demand for Coal Plants. Current Coal Plants are being UPGRADED to HIGH PURITY Plants thus reducing pollution. 30 Nuclear Plants are being BUILD and by 2030 it will be ONLINE. Wind Power and SOLAR are increasing Rapidly. With Battery Stations .... COAL PLANTS will no longer be required. So .... 2030 onwards .. Coal Plants will be SHUT DOWN progressively. ... Check EU and US to see if their COAL PLANTS are clean and within pollution values !!! And EU are quietly building COAL PLANTS.
NO DRILLING BABY NO DRILLING .................... HAHA .................... HAHA ...............
Lol not a chance.. those are absolutely horrible for the environment. They're useless in cold environments. They tax the electric grids. Absolutely not. But that will help bring gas prices down yeehaa
Send us the byd seagull plz uwu
stop the ai youtube channels
Even if you like oil car, you should support China EV, the more EV on the road, the cheaper gasoline would be .
i dont believe it😂😂😂 as long as the mineral extraction, manufacturing parts of ev, power producing plant , using fossil fuels😂😂😂 recharging 😊power from fossil fuel to fossil fuel produce Electric vehicle😂😂😂😂
China vs arab 😂
End of oil. Resurgence of coal 🤣😂😂
EVs blow👍🏻
Wow alot of you people in the comment section are so stupid there is nothing green about evs for starters were does the eletricity come from to charge your car wind solar nope keep drinking the green coolaid lol
I have been seeing a bunch of ev bs in my feed , watched a couple but they seem to be 'Propaganda' or at least green washing!
100% BS...
Never relay on one source of energy and down with communism
Yes...US has Superman, Batman, Ironman, etc.. How is the USA doing ?????
@sunshinesun121 getting the world ready to watch the newest superman movie hopefully in imax 3D then we go out and talk shit about our president yeah democracy!. How's communist china I mean Hong Kong doing?
@sunshinesun121 glad to keep you entertained while you're living under communism u see we can think freely ie the movies u speak of vs though controlled china lol still waiting for the knock off batman movies 😆 go get a life in ur ev.
I smell propaganda
Do check your Facts . And visit CHINA !!!!
😂😂😂😂
I D I O T
Your sources are Serpentza and China Observer, right?
Btw, China has trillions of dillars of reserves from its trade surplus and it owns the top largest banks in the world and many of the Fortune 500 companies and yet you mentioned about China experiencing poor finances.
Your comprehension skills in Math, Accounting and Economic subjects are terrible. 😂😂😂😂😂
You only rely on Fake news from the West.
Is this a joke? 🤦♂️
Great propaganda
Lol. They are coming for you!
Soooo what energy source will fuel the batteries in the EV? Ohhh OIL!!! Wtf
Oil is not a big source for electricity in China.
@risikocontrollingmr.1833 China uses 15M barrels of oil a day!! Or 15% of the world's consumption. What are you talking about?
@ you know that you use oil for the whole organic chemistry and for driving around with a ice car?
@risikocontrollingmr.1833 and charging EV batteries. You can keep making yourself look like a fool of you want.
Never heard of Nuclear Plants ( WHICH US has LOTS) ??? Oh .. USA burn OIL to Power their Power Plants !!!
A government enforced ev push doesn’t really tell me that oil is in trouble lol. But I guess I see how someone who thinks governments should control everything forcing their people to buy evs is in fact a real market shift but sorry to break it to ya lol.
No, EVs are so cheap in China that there is absolutely no point buying an ICE car and pay for gas while car enthusiasts there are rich enough to pay a tax to keep their ICE car. China is literally technologically 20 years ahead of USA in technology application.
The mandate is important. Any big auto could have sold us million mile vehicles 50 yrs ago. They chose to extort their customers with " Designed to Fail " ICE junk. They are ALL avoiding the much simpler EV because it is far more difficult to utilize this scrupulous tactic .
@ it’s cheap because the government set it up that way. Not hard to do when you control every aspect of the market. They are 20 years ahead in the technology that keeps your citizens on a knee sure. Keeps slaves in the mines and children from jump off factories they are so miserable working in sure.
@ well I agree with you there the system has been turned to screw everyone and extort money from them sure. But that’s not how it’s always been and that’s now how it always has to be either.
In ASEAN countries .... FACT ......... Many of its citizens WISH for COMMUNISIUM to be implemented as Corruption, Politics, elites , etc are KILLING their country. And Obviously NEVER driven an EV.
Tony seba said only a reduction of 20 million barrels per day is enough to crash oil price into ground i think it's true
This is why this guy talks about Nio every week on his channel ruclips.net/video/lAWPM9qzM84/видео.html
