    Very deserving of the design awards that it has garnered. It is not the watch for me, but if I were 25 years younger I would pick one up to wear for dress occasions. I imagine how nicely it would set off a black tuxedo.
    For $175 you get an award winning watch design and A beautiful Seagull movement, so not only is there style but value as well.
    Nice review as always and another great find for the right wearer.

    When you showed us the first mechanical skeleton iWatch, I saw the Michael Young Ciga in silver also offered by Xiaomi, and I immediately chose that instead. Been enjoying it for a while now and 100% would do it again. The only thing that’s not too not hot is the mesh bracelet quality. I will buy a Geckota mesh replacement because the supplied mesh is finished a bit poorly at the rolled edge where the lugs are installed, at least on mine. Anyhow, excellent watch all things considered.
    *Extra Note: I know a lot of you guys aren’t in to it, or many just outright hate it, but I’m not into normal, so I guess I’ll just sit in my corner of scorn admiring it to myself lol

    Of two minds about this. I appreciate the adventurous and bold design choices and it delivers high value for dollar but the depth of that that bowl is so deep relative to the profile I can't see myself being brave or fashion forward enough to wear it on regular basis. I realize I'm in the same boat with everyone who says they are bored with generic divers and then when this bold peacock shows up and I hop up a stool raise my petticoats and scream "Mouse!". Oh well.

    As I continue to add watches to my collection, it’s always nice to have a few unique brands , Chinese or not / Seagull and so on. It’s not wearable daily but it’s off the path and pretty well done. If you don’t feel like spending a little chunk on a Swiss Skeleton then this thing’s cool. Not bad

  • @grogthegrolie
    @grogthegrolie 5 лет назад +6

    Beautiful case design, but size is hideous. The fundamental dial design with the concave surface is fantastic, except for the skeletonized part. I'd pay $175 for a 38 mm, non-skeletonized version of this watch.

  • @fattmatt200
    @fattmatt200 5 лет назад +1

    A award winning skeleton watch that you can see your hairy wrist through. If the dial was solid with the hour and minute markings it would look better in my opinion, I just don't like skeleton watches, but if I had to own one this would be a serious contender.
    I don't know why there is a worry about sea gull movements, they've been making them for yonks, and supply parts to many European watch brands.

    I bought the square Cega (Apple Watch lookalike), and love it. Really not a fan of skeleton watches as some of them are almost useless as you have to have a hard stare to tell the time. Certainly the case with the square one but it’s not an everyday watch really for me anyway.
    Very much like the hidden lugs I have a Mondaine like that and truly love the clean look. Ask a kid to draw a watch and it’s always a circle on a band, never any lugs!
    This one I don’t like as much, 40-42 is my preference now think 45 for most people now is too big. It’s quite dressy so why so big? Anyhoo another excellent piece of design from Cega.
