KTM invited me to join them in Ohio for the 2024 Enduro Model Launch. I got to ride the 150, 250, and 300 XC-W. I also rode the 450 XCF-W model.
This video shows the first few minutes on the 250 XC-W. I'll produce more of the riding on the other bikes in the next few videos. At least that is the plan!
Here is my website. You should check it out!

Man i love this combo...TBI, oil injected, spring fork, PDS. This is the absolute perfect setup for the northeast woods i ride in, i just hate to take the hit on selling my '22.
Every single year.... "This is the best bike ever!" But yet there's guys out there on 10 year old bikes beating everyone.
Lol that's not how it works, you don't win a race because you have a better bike than a guy who has more skill than you do. But ideally YOU should be faster and better on a faster and better bike than YOU would be on a 10 year old bike.
It’s always the rider and not the bike . IMO
jokes on you my bikes actually 20 years old and running rich as hell still out here passing 2020+ ktms and huskeys in the ISDE

@@99Yeti Agreed
I wanna see this bike versus the 300 from your opinion Kyle
I was a bit young to understand oil injection delete on Enduro bikes. Long travel single shock suspension and liquid cooling was the revolution then. The evole-devolve is starting it.
Man! You are livin' the life my friend! Great looking and sounding bike. The one sharp turn and up the steep incline looked like a good stall point but it grunted right through! Also, I wonder how it stacks up against the Beta? Thanks for the video and looking forward to the 150xcw ride. The one model I think that may extend how long I can ride. I will be 55 in a couple weeks and the less weight the better!
probably end up getting one of these 24' with the new design. The Forks sold me
The bike sounds so crisp!
Do you actually ride an older bike with E-start only because Saying you’ve never been stranded by E-Start doesn’t really matter when you’re riding the newest bike every year🤷♂️ most things don’t go wrong in a year of ownership
I hope to see you do an in depth video on the 2024 xcfw 450. I heard it has traction control and speed shifting technology. Plus it's a all new frame and suspension.👍🏼
You are dodging those trees darn good being from wide open out west...
There’s lots of rocks to dodge out in the west
Out in Utah we have woods just like this.
Utah has a lot of woods riding just like this. We have a ton of massive mountains as far as the eye can see. Heck we have like 20 ski resorts all within 1-2 hours of each other
Do any of these not come with lights? XCW 250. Thinking of picking up a 2022. Had no light. Are these years identical????
Fun watching Kyle ride my terrain.
I was thinking the same thing! 🤣
Is the 250 more brutal than the 300?
Wouldn’t mind seeing you compare a 250sx vs 250xc. See how both of them compare to each other in a couple scenarios being gncc style race, single track, and wide open trail…..
I need one of these to go with my 23 300xcw
Comparing these to the '23 XC's - I'm assuming the power feels very similar to the XC's, obviously the forks are amazing on these new machines, but how were the gear ratios (similar or different than the XC's). Oil injected is interesting. Do they come with a fan on the radiator? Thanks for the info, I love my '23 XC, but these sure seem like amazing machines! Add to cart! ;)
Pretty cool. Was Mike Lafferty in attendance ? Wish they would have given you a rocky creek section and some steep climbs instead of MTB trail, but it is what it is.
Quick question, does the 250xcw feel peppier and more playful than the 300? From the videos I’ve seen, the 250 xcw’s seem to like to be ridden a little more aggressively than the 300xcw. I like a little low end torque, but I also like smacking the throttle and getting a pretty quick hit out of the corners on the single track we ride. I find myself trying to keep my 2020 300xc in the powerband. Only thing is, I don’t wanna give up the oil injection and larger stator in the new bike so I’m definitely choosing an xcw instead of the xc. So I’m really just curious which bike will be happier being ridden more aggressively, the 250 or the 300 and if one does it better than the other?
Oh thats gonna be a cool bike!!
Kyles a lucky man! :-)
haha!
Thank you
Can someone explain why oil injection would be bad for a enduro please??
Alright how does the 250
Compare to the Sherco 250 carb non fuel injection for power delivery.
Sweet bike!!
Sure is!
Is the giveaway availabe to canadians?
im possibly looking for a xcw for a 16 year old about 5 ft 9 what size engine would be good for a person new to adult dirtbike. he was on an rm 85
👍👍
The idle stay hi when the throttle is off not like the xc do, i think its a oil injection thing ?
Kinda bummed they kept the oil injection. Was planning on getting a 24 xcw once i learned the XC went back to mixing gas. Mixing gas is such a simple process and eliminates unnecessary weight from the bike.
I think it’s smart to have both options. Sounds like you want the XC then….
@@DirtBikeChannel think i would prefer the suspension on the xcw.
I believe the oil system will be easy to remove and then use mixed fuel; that's what my buddies in Europe are telling me. KTM is using the same injectors and TBI system as the XC, then for emissions they throw the oil system on the bike. I have not heard back from them on how it will be tuned to eliminate the oil injection. I am like you, I have been waiting for the XCW thinking no injection so that kind of spoils my plans...except for the oil injection elimination plan, that keeps my dream alive.
truth is you can still buy a XC, exact same gearbox, premix, 10hp more,(better head and tune) and then buy a light and get your suspension done if you want, better yet pick up a 2023 and with the savings do all that and still come in under a xcw, unless you are married to PDS but wel all know a proper linkage setup is far superior and not really a hinderence in the hard enduro either.
I LOVE not having to mix the oil and gas. It just makes it so easy.
What are the best tires for utah mountain single track?
This bike has a tag mount? Is it street legal??
Have you tested the 500?
Very nice

does the 250 feel more lighter than 300?
It does “feel” lighter while riding compared to a 300. Still, the 2024 250 XCW is almost 240 lbs once all fueled up.
You have often announced that "you" have never experianced an oil injection fail.
Nor have you "ever" been stranded because of no kick start lever, and so on...
Now neither of these things would concern me, but I know some folks are very bothered by them.
But to be fair...
You personally do not keep/ride the same bike for much more than a few months. And at that, not much
riding time in that span you do own them.(No criticism here. You have a plan and one is giving the bikes away
in good and proper order)
But not really enough time for "things" to start wearing out and so on. I suspect a normal purchaser of a $12,000+/-
dirt bike keeps his ride for 3/4 or more seasons. I know I have. Much more time for wear and tear on the bike.
So, there is that.
How did it feel to finally be invited by KTM to one of these things?
I don’t know I didn’t get invited
alot of talk on the changes, Like everyone else but stuff all on how the bike feels compared to the 23 which you know well, people want to know about what stands out and if the bike is much different to a 23 when riding
Really no info about the 250.
A purple and black seat would look awesome with those purple graphics
It’s time to retire that Sony action cam! The dynamic range is pretty lackluster in those sunny+shady conditions, and the stabilization is just outclassed by everything else nowadays.
Do we know what the gas-oil ratio is calibrated at on these injected bikes? Just curious.
The benefit of an injected bike is that the ratio is variable based on RPM and engine load. So chugging along at low RPM it could be 100:1, but ripping up a deep mud section at full throttle it could be 20:1. A premix ratio is always a comprise between good low RPM performance and providing enough lubrication at heavy load.
@@newenglandrides576 Yeah well that just makes my brain ache. How do you calculate all that into the bike computer?
I certainly don't know but, I doubt the ratio ever gets as high as 20:1, but who knows? I don't.
i unsubbed because of the of the repetitive and clickbait title stuff you had been putting out. glad to see your back to usual content
They ruined it with the oil injection.
Need some shootouts with the Sherco and Husky.
I gotta say that suspension looks dialed already
Here is a link to another vid from the same event providing a little longer detail about the bikes. ruclips.net/video/b5I-BelSACs/видео.html
Is this too much bike for a beginner who has never rode a bike before?
