  • In this video we show how to make yam fry and lady's finger sambar
    Yam fry
    yam 1/4 kg
    Turmeric powder a pinch
    salt
    Oil for frying
    Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
    hing 1/4 tsp
    Curry leaves a few
    chilli powder 1/2 tsp
    for Sambar oil 1 tsp
    mustard seeds
    meths seeds
    dry red chilli 1
    hing 1/4 tsp
    ladys finger 3-4
    curry leaves a few
    Home made sambar powder 2 tsp
    Tamarind small lemon size soaked in water
    Turmeric powder
    salt to taste

    Namaste akka. The yam fry in this way is new to me. We make another type using roasted chilli paste n tamarind with fried yam. Will surely try this out.

    We can as well fully cook the yam cubes drain the water and do the tadka adding grated coconut last!
    This method can be tried to go with all types of rasam also!!

    Hi aunty, when we chop yam hands itch too unbearably and also its difficult to remove the hard skin of yam and chop it. Pl make a video on washing yam and details on how to chop it and use.

      Yes I face the same problem too. So I use gloves while cutting it . Don't touch with bare hands. First remove the outer muddy layer . Then peel it and chop into pieces and keep soaked in water. rinse two or three times
