I tried with 1 cup urad Dal + 3 cups idli rice + 3 cups of ragi flour (+1.5 tbsp of salt after fermentation in the conservatory). - yielded a perfect outcome. Thank you. - R(UK) P.S.: (1) In winter, an oven pre-heated to 125°C can be used for overnight fermentation. (2) adding a pinch of bi-carb of soda to the portion of batter just before it is set to cook renders the idlis soft and non-sticky
