When I watched your video 3 years ago, I knew I had to buy a sample of it. And I wasn't disapointed, what an amazing fragrance! I rediscovered the decant a week ago and decided it was time to finally buy a full bottle of it 2 days ago. Thank you for this great review and for sharing your passion with so much talent! Cheers
This is one if my favorite fragrances in my collection. When I first smelled it, I was immediately reminded of intense café and almost didn't buy it because I own IC. I'm glad I did, the more I have had a chance to wear it the more that the rose stand out. Really nice. Longevity is beast. . . Cheers. . .
I am just waiting for my bottle, and after watch your rewiew I just got more excited.. Can't wait! Gongrats, man! I like all your videos.. keep doing it, please!
Very potent stuff ,one bottle will last you a lifetime ! I honestly go one spray to the chest, took some adapting to but now I can see why you appreciate this one ! Great review!
Thank you so much for this lovely video Mr. Steven (hope I have spelled your name correctly). I ordered this perfume a few minutes ago, and I am 100% sure I will enjoy the perfume as much as I enjoyed your review. Thank you so much once again.
Great review as usual, would you say this fragrance was different/unique enough to purchase compared with Noir de Noir or Rose d'Arabie, if you had one or both of those?
I think I like this one the best from the line. I sniffed most of them. This is the one I will purchasing first. I like the bottles as well. Great review Steven.
Steven a stunning review. I love it when I get to hear you talk about a fragrance you love. You have pricked my interest in this one so I must explore it. Thank you so much!
Hey steven... I like all your videos... always updated with the new fragrances... Thank you so much for the good info... I like the scented candles at the background...
Awesome review. You describe it very well. I have try Rose D' Arabie many time and they very similar. IMO More then words is much better, more refined and less sharp then RDA .
Steven: I appreciate the articulate and passionate manner in which you describe various fragrances. I am seeking a signature scent and your thoughts help me to know where to generally look. Stephen
Good Afternoon! If you don't mind, I have a quick question for you... If you had to pick between Amouage Lyric Man or JTC More than Words in which direction would you go? I love your reviews and value your opinion, keep up the excellent work!! Thx for your time.
I always enjoy your reviews. You could perhaps have said more about the fragrance along with all the facts. It is a super oud candy fragrance. To say it is an oud beast would be an understatement. It takes an hour before the oud eases off a smidgen and then you can detect a sweet floral/fruitiness peaking out. I agree with all you have said otherwise. Not everyone loves oud so you really needed to mention that it is mostly about oud.
i'm trying to find a timeless, classic perfume that lasts a long time on the skin because i don't like changing them or spraying all the time. would you say this is a good choice?having in mind the price.i don't normally buy without trying but i can't find this in my area to test it. :( i normally like floral perfumes like no 4 from rituals which is a violet and lily based perfume
This is tough to say. This one is floral but not in a feminine way, not to me at least. It lasts for an incredibly long time, and I would say has the potential of becoming a classic being that it smells unique for a rose/oud combo. However, I wouldn't recommend buying it without sampling it first. I'm not sure where you live, but would LuckyScent ship to your area? They carry it and so does Osswald. Petrana by Odin is a great fragrance containing violet and it has a classic smell to it as well. A fresher take on violet is Green Irish Tweed by Creed. Thank you for watching!
I wanted to love it. I really love their Nio, Golden Moka, Erba Pura and Renaissance fragrances. More Than Words is hitting me wrong. I tried to wait it out to see how it bloomed. Then I tried washing it off the back of my hand with some soap and water. “Old man wearing too much cologne to hide his sweat” is what came to mind. It’s tolerable on someone else, perhaps? I’ve smelled worse (as an example of a fragrance that makes me wretch, I can’t stand CK Be).
Brilliant as always..... Thanks you for your review... Unfortunately we don't get Xerjoff fragrances here in Bangalore India ..... But the way you have described it ..is fantastic ... I know this sounds weird ... I could almost smell the fragrance by your description ... Thank you ... :)
Steven: I just received my sample of More Than words. I am overwhelmed with the linear rose scent. I am finding a strong rose in just too many scents that I sample. It is a wonderful fragrance but not something I would want to smell on myself continually. Cloying! I think I am going to explore some gourmand fragrances. Any suggestions?? Thanks!! Stephen
I wore Au Masculin by Lolita Lempicka for a while, and that was the gourmand that came closest to being a signature scent for me in addition to Thierry Mugler's A*Men. What's your budget and what are some of your favorite fragrances currently? I apologize for the late response.
Redolessence Steven: Good to hear back! I looked at Au Masculin as recommended. I am not a fan of anise so maybe not a 'fit'. My favorite scent...not gourmand is Amouage Jubilation XXV. I like the idea of gourmand but I don't have a specific fragrance within this genre that I really like. I'm looking for an Autumn or Winter scent. Creed does well in caring for my Summer needs. Stephen
Thank you! The notes are oriental notes, floral notes, fruity notes, ambergris, oud, labdanum, olibanum, and woodsy notes. There are far too many ingredients to list, but among them are denatured alcohol, BHT, amyl cinnamal, anise alcohol, benzyl benzoate, geraniol, and cinnamal. Thanks again!
Hmm... they both have a strong labdanum note, so that would create similarities between the two. I think they are very different from each other in many ways, too. I don't think they would've sent you the wrong sample. Thanks for watching!
Great review Steven. Thanks to you and Rene now I feel almost forced to take a trip to Osswald, sniff this out, & likely shell out 215 bones. Thanks lol
Oh there's an entire shelf in my house dedicated to this particular meta-genre of fragrances-- I laugh when I add another decant to it. On this shelf you'll find: Rose D'Arabie, Armaf Club de Nuit Intense, a few Boadicea the Victorious scents, Noir de Noir, Gold Rose Oudh...the list goes on. There's just something about this winning formula of saffron-leather-oud-rose (with a few other wonderfully harmonious notes that are always typical yet hard to immediately identify and name) which sparks shameless copycats left right and centre. I don't think you can even call them copycats...I'm not sure...egg, chicken? I wish someone would look deeply into this one and make a video about it. I think vanilla-tobacco-spice-wood is another funny genre. I have many of those too. There are the technical classifications given to us by the house most often, and then there are the colloquial ones we as fragrance lovers prefer to call them as they seem more fitting. Then there are the categories such as the one I'm laughing out loud about here. I love More Than Words though. :D Edit: I was led to believe that ambergris was undigestible matter from the stomach of the sperm whale, which it vomits into the ocean. I had no idea that it was 'harvested from the digestive tract'. I've never heard that before. I also didn't know that it was pronounced 'amber-grease'. I've been saying 'ambergree' all these years. Huh, you learn something every day.
I sampled it before looking up reviews and expected to see way more women into this. It isn't overly femme but is in no way masculine on me. If you can wear oud or woodsy scents, you'll be fine.
Awesome review. You describe it very well. I have try Rose D' Arabie many time and they very similar. IMO More then words is much better, more refined and less sharp then RDA .

I just bought a bottle of this sexy stuff and i am in love with it. i own about 65 fragrances this is in my top 3 . Great review man :)
This is one if my favorite fragrances in my collection. When I first smelled it, I was immediately reminded of intense café and almost didn't buy it because I own IC. I'm glad I did, the more I have had a chance to wear it the more that the rose stand out. Really nice. Longevity is beast. . .

Longevity is incredible! I wear both Intense Cafe and MTW very regularly, even though it's getting so hot out. Thank you for stopping by!
great review! I'm glad you found the words to describe More Than Words. ^_^
Hahaha... I was thinking of incorporating something like that into the review, but I decided against it. Thanks for watching!
Nice Video , still recommend this Fragrance in 2023 or is there any thing better ? , I found it only for 140$ for 100ml
Best fragrance reviewer on RUclips for years.
A true maestro.
I am just waiting for my bottle, and after watch your rewiew I just got more excited.. Can't wait! Gongrats, man! I like all your videos.. keep doing it, please!

Great review. One of my most loved fragrances. You look so young. You’ve come a long way in 7 yrs. wishing you many many more years of success.
Just ordered it. Thanks for another great review!
Thank you so much for this lovely video Mr. Steven (hope I have spelled your name correctly). I ordered this perfume a few minutes ago, and I am 100% sure I will enjoy the perfume as much as I enjoyed your review. Thank you so much once again.

Really looking forward for an updated top 10 all time favorites!

I've decided after all to do a first impressions of the tester you gave me. It was not for me though but still glad that I was able to wear a Xerjoff.
Awesome! Thanks for stopping by! Keep in touch.
Awesome review. You describe it very well. I have try Rose D' Arabie many time and they very similar. IMO More then words is much better, more refined and less sharp then RDA .
Ahhh, okay! Glad to hear I own the better fragrance. =) Thanks for watching!

I appreciate the articulate and passionate manner in which you describe various fragrances. I am seeking a signature scent and your thoughts help me to know where to generally look.

Well done! Still compiling and testing this one out
Thanks for watching!
Wow dude, you really need to do a collection video. Your shelves are dripping with quality juice. Take care friend.
Haha. I've actually been thinking about it lately. I may be doing one soon. Thanks for watching!
Great review, Steven. MTW is definitely on the seductive side. Working my way through a decant.
Thanks for watching! I hope all is well, Raj.
I absolutely LOVE NdN, so i take it I will love this too! I have it on my wishlist for xmas :)
Excellent take as usual from Steven.

Sounds truly Majestic.
I am in Australia where it's not available to my knowledge . What's the best place to purchase .
Cheers
Do you know if LuckyScent would ship to Australia? Thanks for watching!
+psdapa67 I just purchased a bottle from a reputable German website for $276 AUD.

is there a clone of this from other parfum house?
+Jack Lan Thank you.
Hi Steven. Is the rose not dominant? Is it closer to the oud Ispahan or it is truly unique smell on its own?
@TheJancharles thank you for your helpful feedback

Brilliant as always..... Thanks you for your review... Unfortunately we don't get Xerjoff fragrances here in Bangalore India ..... But the way you have described it ..is fantastic ... I know this sounds weird ... I could almost smell the fragrance by your description ... Thank you ... :)
This fragrance will project from Bangalore to Mumbai...not for hot climates for sure.
I may be getting a sample of this to try. so hopefully I can review it next month. :)
Thanks for watching! Let me know if you need a sample.
Great rev! New camera?
I actually love this offering...
Thanks for watching!
Do all the JTC bottles have the same presentation (besides minor word differences)?
Xozzen From what I have seen, yes. Thank you for watching!
Thank you, Anita!!!! You know this is one of my loves! Thanks for watching!
This is a throwback review..lol. Good info on "more then words".. This video was shot 6yrs ago today...
Many thanks!

After sampling it, it is a must to the collection.
Great review. How many sprays?

Admire your scoring system, so useful for us.
Thank you!
Is this available in stores.
Can you please do a top 10 video on Xerjoff.
Love this vintage bottle 👌❤️
how did you figure the 29 percent concentration thank you
great review Steven! I would be very grateful if you could tell me what ingredients are listed on the box or bottle if there is any, thank you
Great video
Just got this beast! Not as nuclear as it once was in the new bottle. One of the best rose fragrances ever!
So glad you love it, Saad!
Does it become a week? or slightly downgrade to the performance?
Stephen, where can I get a sample of this? Thanks.
I think LuckyScent or ScentSplit should have it.
Fascinating fragrance, and I'm obsessed with the beautiful bottle. Thanks for the great review!
Thank you for all of the kind words! Bottle is very nice. Thanks for watching!
Steven do you the similarities between this and Opus VI or luckyscent has sent me a wrong sample?!!
Hmm... they both have a strong labdanum note, so that would create similarities between the two. I think they are very different from each other in many ways, too. I don't think they would've sent you the wrong sample. Thanks for watching!
Someone described this as a jammy rose and my current favorite jammy rose is Rouge Avignon by Phaedon. I wonder how similar this is.
Which are best 3 from xerjoff in your expert opinion
Nio, More Than Words, and Richwood are some of the best.
Great review Steven. Thanks to you and Rene now I feel almost forced to take a trip to Osswald, sniff this out, & likely shell out 215 bones. Thanks lol
Hahaha... give it a shot. You might love it. =) Thanks for watching!
Ok Just Blind bought this one after watching your video :D
Awesome! Thank you for trusting my opinion! You will love it!

Naxos vs more dan words vs Nio - which are ur number 1,2,3
More Than Words, Nio, then Naxos.
Do u think this one is better than mamluk?
Thanks
They're very different. I personally like More Than Words a little more now. They're both worth a sample.
+Redolessence thank u so much
I would really be grateful if u tell me your opinion about mamluk vs alkhatt silage and others,
Thanks again
Damn!! Throwback!! Steve before the fame 😂
I still don't have any fame! Hahaa
Are you still a fan of More Than Words
Is this fragrance still in your top 10
It is!
Hola, has your opinion varied I wonder?
I still love this one!
Please recommend for complements and longevity more than words or interlude man I loved both n so confused
Interlude Man has the Longevity and More Than Words has gotten me the compliments.
Thanx for reply love your videos but really hard to get niche fragrance in mumbai india
I want to count it in the winter
perfect for winter
Nice video. I have this one. Manage to get tester for 75$
Smells like Tom Ford Noir de Noir 40% and Montale Aoud Velvet 60%
Romeo Numberone Nice connection! Thank you for watching!
Smells very similar to Oud Ispahan by Dior
The beard has departed
How would it work on a woman? Only men review this...What a shame :D Great review!
I would love to smell this on a woman! I can see the sweet resins working very well! Thank you for watching!
+Anna Rodmarine A fragrance website says this is for both men and women. I have not tried it, so I have no personal opinion on this.
I sampled it before looking up reviews and expected to see way more women into this. It isn't overly femme but is in no way masculine on me. If you can wear oud or woodsy scents, you'll be fine.
Does anyone have Speechless from Dua?
I hope someone can chime in!
Awesome review. You describe it very well. I have try Rose D' Arabie many time and they very similar. IMO More then words is much better, more refined and less sharp then RDA .
after 3 years what do you think about it? do you like it still? how about compliment factor? thanks
