Funny, I actually have fallen in love with the 50ml bottles...have a number of these now. They look great on the shelf together plus it gives me some extra cash to buy others 😬 And YES, 400 is amazing. In my opinion very underrated....need more eyes (and noses) on this great fragrance. We want more of Nelson!! The anecdotes were so hilarious 😂 and I can visualise the reactions 😊. We may have to start spreading word around and give advance notice that the NFC family is in town so people will wear their best scents when out and about. 😉 In relation to your last Mate Talk, I think that Xerjoff is a great niche house to start with when exploring niche scents - there will always be something for everyone; the fragrances are varied but their uniqueness per collection/category is not as overwhelming as other houses with a 20 - 100 scents because they are grouped in such a way that you can appreciate why they are part of that collection; plus the great in-store service and the packaging will complete the memorable introductory experience. When I was starting, I remember picking up a Casamorati hair mist back then (still under Xerjoff) and I started falling in love with the house.
I always love filming 2 episodes back to back. I always find that on the second episode everyone now understands the assignment 😉 and really let their hair down Wait till you see the next guest😂 His first episode is such a crack up🤣 Great to hear from you Jane
I love 400! I would not be surprised by the ylang ylang note. I think it is unisex leaning ever so slightly masculine even though it has a floral note. I am wearing Basso today, I smelled it at exscence and bought a decant to try out and I looked it up today to see what was on fragrantica and was surprised to find everyone thought it leaned very masculine but I find it perfect for me and would never have known without being told. I love how you prove this over and over with these blind testings... proves we are so influenced by what we are told and our preconceived notions... quite interesting!

I was at a hockey game a couple months ago, sitting in an aisle seat, and a lady walked by and I got a nice whiff of her perfume and it was amazing. I didn't say anything to her, but kept hoping she'd walk by so I could smell it again. Whatever she was wearing, it was one of the best fragrances I've ever had the pleasure of smelling.

It's pretty linear, but all I get is creamy floral notes like a thicc suncream without smelling like cheap cream. But it's one of those scent you gotta own being a man, even this is floral I don't feel like it's to feminine. To be honest, I've never got so much compliment like with this. It's a sweet creamy floral that gets noted for sure. Long silage, big scent bubble and last all day. If I forgot to mention anything, just ask me😊

So I caught up to him and kinda passed him again. Then I said excuse me. That cologne your wearing. It smells so familiar to me. Then I ask what it is. I love reading your story Dave....it's something that we can't control. We smell a beautiful fragrance in the air and we need to explore, ask the question or compliment; it's an impulse😎 At the moment I'm rotating constantly around these 3: Vanille de Tahite by Perris: Not a gourmond vanilla. Floral, animalic, woody with a hint of vanilla....this one is addictive. It's incredible Juan Manuel by Fueguia: a rose like nothing else. Slightly green, with a little jammy sweetness to it but woody in the base....another incredible fragrance. This one is easy all year round Aomassai by Pierre Gulliaume: gorgous gourmond opening of coffee/brown sugar/hazelnut that drys down to an earthy wood scent (and moves away from gourmond)MAGIC Good Luck with these Dave
Yep, it does have a beautiful Candied Orange/Mandarin opening which does play through the fragrance but on the drydown it goes slight incense (but very subtle). For me the Tuberose is the star player in this perfume🥰 works so well on a man or a woman Great to hear from you @DivineFrag
Great episode. I am a total Xerjoff fanboy BUT I do not have Decas OR 400. I adore More Than Words and can understand why some might say that it is feminine leaning BUT it performs great on my skin...and always garners compliments.
More Than Words is magic; in fact after the filming with Nelson, he actually took home this one and has been wearing since. He mentioned that he's constantly getting compliments♥️ And for me since this episode I've been wearing Decas...man I love this perfume. It's perfectly balanced with the sweet, the florals and that slight incense...another magic fragrance Great to hear from you @MrWheatle
My absolute favorite Xerjoff is Tony Iommi, but 400 comes next (I am lady, so I definitely need and love the sweetness you find in 400) and More Than Words comes third. For the first two, I even have backup bottles, but More Than Words does not really require that, because ONE spray on my skin is enough to make it noticed and lasts for hours.

I would love to see more of floral line up videos. It is such a shame we are so programmed to think in gender when it comes to fragrance notes. It is so silly. When I smell a flower, I never think it smells like a woman. It smells like a flower. When I smell a leather jacket or a camp fire, I also never think of a man.

Gosh, how to explain; it was masculine ,a classy high quality pine needle scent , not bitter, no citrus , but fresh , very manly “ oooh baby what’s your name ? “ 😂. It’s only when I got to my stop, started walking and the scent hit me again .. Nothing remotely in the Libertine section, it had a very expensive ,high quality about it , a freshness of Norway 🤷🏻♀️.

The gorgy lady gave me a tester of SYCAMORE edp and as it’s drying down I’m getting that pine needle scent I remember from that gent. I don’t know if I can wear it but I loooove it. I’ll just buy it and spray the beheasus onto all of Dean’s shirt’s . 😂👏🏻Winning !

More than words killer 🔥… 400 if you ever smell elie saab le parfum (Francis Kurkdjian) definitely simliar, tick orange blossom with honey .. love it 🧡🧡
I heard that more than words similar to lancome oud bouquet, I had this one (the old version) I like it a lot but it’s not wearable for me and I sold it, do you think more than words different enough to give it a try ?!
I have a very strict rule of only three sprays on any of the eau de parfum fragrances…. I feel that this is plenty for me to continue to enjoy the fragrance and for others to also detect it. Hope that helps 💫

I would love to see more of floral line up videos. It is such a shame we are so programmed to think in gender when it comes to fragrance notes. It is so silly. When I smell a flower, I never think it smells like a woman. It smells like a flower. When I smell a leather jacket or a camp fire, I also never think of a man.

Gosh, how to explain; it was masculine ,a classy high quality pine needle scent , not bitter, no citrus , but fresh , very manly “ oooh baby what’s your name ? “ 😂. It’s only when I got to my stop, started walking and the scent hit me again .. Nothing remotely in the Libertine section, it had a very expensive ,high quality about it , a freshness of Norway 🤷🏻♀️.

The gorgy lady gave me a tester of SYCAMORE edp and as it’s drying down I’m getting that pine needle scent I remember from that gent. I don’t know if I can wear it but I loooove it. I’ll just buy it and spray the beheasus onto all of Dean’s shirt’s . 😂👏🏻Winning !

I heard that more than words similar to lancome oud bouquet, I had this one (the old version) I like it a lot but it’s not wearable for me and I sold it, do you think more than words different enough to give it a try ?!

how many sprays do you usually do when you get compliments with these? would the same apply to Xerjoff Naxos?
I have a very strict rule of only three sprays on any of the eau de parfum fragrances…. I feel that this is plenty for me to continue to enjoy the fragrance and for others to also detect it.
