The 997 GTS was a great car. Classic looks. The 991.1 PDK in white with the aero kit is a family mans GT3 (I need the back seats for the kids on occasions). The biggest thing over the 997 is the noise. So much more noise from the 991 and personally I prefer the looks. I would say the 991.1 has some old school but some new as well. So, I have a question for everyone here. Do we all feel that Porsches are getting too expensive? I've owned 4 of them in my time and I've only purchased 1 brand new. I was considering a 992 model this year, but can't believe the base price on the S and GTS models. Also, are these supercars? Optioned up with normal equipment, they're in supercar price territory.
Yes they are definitely starting to become too expensive especially when you consider all the options you have to get because not much comes standard compared to other cars.
Although prices are in super car territory, at least for the GT3 and GT3RS, I would take one over a comparable Lamborghini or Ferrari. Drive them back to back against a F8 or Huracan Evo RWD, and I think you will come away with the same opinion-GT3 or RS all day, everyday!
My 997 GTS was 65k, 991.1 was 95k and if I order a 992 GTS, 129k 😬😳. The official dealer will only offer me 50k for my 991.1. Is mine over a 992 worth near 80k???
@@themartins5771 here in the states a used. 991.1 GTS is worth about $130-150k. You should get another quote for your car. I don’t think the 992 is worth 80k more than yours.

I went 997 GTS manual and now current 991.2 GTS PDK. I dont get lightweight pack idea as it loses the GTS middle ground knocking on the door to closely of a GT3 and probably as quick in a straight line but with all the GT3 useability compromises. So I would have a old mans kitted GTS 2wd or just move to a GT3. Unlike the leap from 997 to 991 Im not feeling the 992 at the moment but maybe that will change. I will stick.
I was unable to order a 992 GT3 with PCM delete. I was instructed that this was no longer an option. For both my 997 and 991, I was able to order the cars without this excess weight. Has anyone removed the PCM post purchase? Is there an aftermarket kit?

@@drzar8275 thanks for your reply. Agree totally and they will put it on the forecourt for 80k. Not sure if anyone else with a car that is above ‘book’ like say a GT3 has the same issue. Trade in value v price on the windscreen.
Ordered my Targa gts but still have to pick the color, any suggestions? I always liked black...
Green.
Great review also nice Omega Seamaster 007 watch I love that one
Great review, would you spec the 992 gts coupe with the front axle lift? Is there decent enough clearance otherwise?
Good car. If u dont have a gt3 allocation
What a car 🔥🔥. Awesome review!!
Loving the look of that crayon gts as well
PDK or Manual ?
I’,m waiting for my 2wd Gts lightweight to arrive 🇬🇧, I went for manual instead of Pdk to be more connected 👌😍
I was waiting for this quite a while
I went 997 GTS manual and now current 991.2 GTS PDK. I will stick.
wicked vid brother. Love the color.
I was unable to order a 992 GT3 with PCM delete. I was instructed that this was no longer an option. For both my 997 and 991, I was able to order the cars without this excess weight. Has anyone removed the PCM post purchase? Is there an aftermarket kit?
talk about a third world problem, the fact anyone could order a GT3 is what they should be celebrating!
Great info, been waiting for this car for a while but now I’m not so sure, love the Omega by the way.
What is the best porsche you’ve driven for best value
Base level 911 Carrera, any gen!
Does anyone tune this or raise boost on them considering they’re turbo ?
007 SM Pro looking 🔥
Great review as always love the 992 👍
I love the base Carrera too but it needs a manual transmission option!
Magnifique Porsche 911
i'd either get a basic Carrera manual or a GT3 touring manual...
Exactly this one is no man’s land
@@brianhimmelman420 same as those Carrera S, 4S... Minor power hike but major price rise
That change-down @ 17:36 👌
Hey Raz. Thinking of getting on of these. 2 or 4 wheel drive? I live in England! I understand the 2 maybe a little more nimble in the corners but I'm getting this for mostly b-roads.
Get the 2wd. It’s lighter
In my dream 3 cars for sure.
Superb summary
