    My son bought the 7 string of this variant. Prestige. It's beautiful man. Japan makes some beautiful playing guitars.

      @Ace King LMAO. Hey man. I must admit some bias I guess. I love and am so proud of my son that I talk too much about him. Heheh. Anyway his was the 7 string I think it's fairly priced around 1200? The prestige. It is very playable in my opinion , there might a vid of me playing it last year. But I'm not used to 7. It has excellent neck feel for a 7 and I imagine the 6 would feel even better to me. The pups sound great and articulate and handled the cleans like glass. That says alot for a shred designed piece of gear. Anyway I hope you get it!! He bought the premium 1070 Nebula burst a series 6 months later he loves both. He still wants a legit JP Majesty. The highest end model. I'm happy with my Squiers and Fenders and Old s370 Ibanez. Hahahaha. I just bought a Harley Benton Pro Fusion T HH FNT and love it. Not bad for specs it offers.

      @@sonnyrocker Lightweight beauty. I am amazed by their attention to details. Great playability, low action with no fret buzz. Fast and very comfortable Super Wizard neck with birdseye maple fingerboard. It took me a while to get used to a Floyd Rose tremolo type (Ibanez Edge in that case), but once I got it, tuning is not a big deal and guitar keeps it for long. I love it's tune. Overall, great instrument and high quality/price ratio.

    I know this video is old, but it's funny that you said you were waiting 3 months on back order. I just ordered mine from Sweetwater and they are saying December and it's the beginning of October right now so that's a couple of months wait. It's a hard long wait! But well worth it from what I can see from the few videos I found on this guitar. I'm really surprised there aren't more videos of this particular guitar online.

    • @sonnyrocker
      @sonnyrocker  8 лет назад +3

      check out my other video, the review for this guitar. but to answer your question, no. This is a metal guitar. It has humbucker pickups so it won't sound like a strat but you can make it sound like one by change the 5 way switch position. There are split coil option. it's very versatile. It does have a brighter sound with the maple neck and ash body.

    Stainless frets?

    • @sonnyrocker
      @sonnyrocker  7 лет назад

      No, jumbo frets with the Ibanez fret edge prestige treatment. For stainless frets, go with EVH Wolfgang.

    • @strawman3059
      @strawman3059 7 лет назад

      sonnyrocker "prestige treatment "? So this is a premium disguised as a prestige.. For $1500 you would expect stainless steel frets.

    • @sonnyrocker
      @sonnyrocker  7 лет назад +2

      This Prestige also has a bird's eye maple neck, and is made in Japan. Premium is made in Indonesia? I see some Premium as high as $1,300. I paid $1,400 for my Prestige, brand new. I am not sure where you are going with this, Tony. If you like Premium, good for you. But if you are trying to justify that it is better because it is cheaper but the same quality, that is just not true. You have to play a Prestige to appreciate its quality. Everything feels 'prestige'
