How Can I Know If I Am Comitting Gluttony?
Philippians 3:18-19
One of the ways we can know if we are committing gluttony is to ask if we are using food as a substitute for God. When we are stressed, or depressed, or bored, or lonely, are we turning to food to relieve our stress, or for comfort, or to make life interesting? God is the one who wants to fill our needs and desires. Food gives us a picture of what God is supposed to be for us: the one who gives us life and satisfaction.

Not really, there are plenty of poor people who are in gluttony. It’s just like when people spend all their money on cigarettes, if they want it they will get it somehow.
