We went on the Discovery last November. We ate almost more in the buffet than the dining room. I didn't think it was bad and if you walked around enough you would find new items. I had food in the buffet that I could not get in the MDR. I have done over 10 cruises with Princess and my first impression was the attitude of the crew. It was always polite and effective. What did you think of the production show Rock Opera? We thought that was the best production show we have seen with Princess. We have done one Alaska cruise with Princess and its such a beautiful experience. Thanks for sharing!
We have only cruised Princess twice but think the ships are absolutely gorgeous and the service is up there with the best. We only frequented the buffet for breakfast and lunch. We mainly eat in the dining room. I’m sure dinner had a lot more variety. I absolutely LOVED Rock Opera. The singers had amazing voices and the production was well done. I Hubby didn’t really care for it. I prefer production shows over magicians and musical tributes. Good entertainment is HUGE for us and that’s why we usually cruise Royal Caribbean or NCL. Yet, we are still looking forward to sailing on the Sun Princess next fall. Thanks for watching!
I usually go in the jacuzzi early in the morning after my morning walk. This way I avoid crowds. Princess is not for everyone I prefer them because I slow down and relax. Some of the other cruise lines are to hectic for me personally. Thanks for your video.
We usually do the same. We get up early and go to the gym. We go back to our room, shower and head to the jacuzzi before most people are up. Works like a charm. Fortunately, the jacuzzi isn’t very high on most people’s list while visiting Alaska but those views of Alaska while in the jacuzzi are EPIC! Thanks for watching! 😊
I have been on this ship twice... Once to Alaska and 2 weeks ago to Cabo San Lucas. I thought the comedy show and the entertainment was ok. The Spa on the ship was nice and the Italian restaurant was really good. I paid the $149.00 to have use for the all the time use of the Spa and gym.
You’re are correct. We ate there on embarkation day and that’s always the worst day to go to the buffet. We didn’t know what other options we had because we never cruise on Princess. We also ate there for breakfast and it was a madhouse. Thanks for watching! 😊
We were sooooo tired! Ken could barely keep his eyes open. We had gotten up really early that morning for the glacier viewing. We didn’t want to keep putting off doing the video so we did it, although very exhausted. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this cruise! Thanks for watching! 😊
You have to choose your cruise lines carefully. Each one caters to a certain demographic usually based on age. If you want to party and dance to hip hop and rock, Carnival would be your choice.
Royal Caribbean and NCL are our favorites. Celebrity pulls up the rear. We really enjoy the evening entertainment and I love broadway type shows. Princess is owned by Carnival so they lack in this area. Carnival happens to be our least favorite. We could care less about partying on our cruise Thsnks for watching! 😊
To each his own. I prefer large broadway shows but my daughters feel differently. They were all about the dancing and partying. I come from a time when feeling like you were on a ship was the goal instead of a moving city. Your video was well done and well presented. I'll continue to watch.@@kbeats6267
We hate Magicians. Half of the time people walk out. The music and dancing shows are the best. Princess is geared towards the more senior crowd not wanting to leave their kids a single dime. We love Princess but the new President needs a few pointers. We like the atmosphere of the laid back ship. Carnival is a PG-13 Virgin cruise line. Princess is not Eskaton Village at sea but it is laid back. Good video. Thanks.
We also lean more towards the production shows. we feel like Royal Caribbean and NCL do this the best. Rock Choir was the best show with the others being mediocre at best. We will still continue to cruise Princess because we do enjoy the elegance of the ships, excellent service and laid back atmosphere. Thanks for watching! 😊

I know this may be a weird question, but is it normal to tip your waiter or waitress despite the fact you may have paid for gratuities in advance? Not a weird question at all! We will sometimes tip our waiters, especially at the specialty restaurants if we get exceptional service which we usually do. It’s completely YOUR call and definitely not expected since you’ve already prepaid your tips in advance. Tips are already added onto your cocktails as well. so be sure to check your receipt. New cruisers usually do not know this. I hope you have a wonderful cruise. I’m sure you’ll have a great time and thanks for subscribing to our channel. If you felt there were more seniors than you expected maybe check out videos from other youtubers to get an idea of the age demographics on the different cruise lines before you pick your next cruise.
We were really tired from getting up at the crack of dawn to view the glaciers. We had a wonderful cruise despite the crowd being a little older. We will most definitely cruise Princess again. We have more cruises planned this year on different cruise lines. Thanks for watching! 😊

If you eat early there are seats available. Prime time is always going to be hard on any ship. The service also goes downhill when it gets busy too.
