And a lot of it is they lost their independence, they can't do all the things they used to. You don't get to pick what you eat, don't get to bathe yourself, don't get to sit outside whenever you want, don't get anything really. When my great grandmother was in a home we would come visit and sometimes be able to take her out for a short while and she absolutely LOVED it. Because she could pick her own food (as she would say "Don't give a damn about my blood pressure, I'm dying anyway.") We would bring it home and have her help to cook it "her" way and then she went back to the home where everything was taken back away from her.

But then the next thing I know I'm waking up after falling alseep while still at my computer desk and 10hrs have passed...

I can not tell you, I just kept puking everywhere , annd the diareah, and stuff always made to clean up. Recall one resident who was like oh nooooo gottaaaa gooooo, as we get him to the restroom he was tooting, as we pull his pants down, it was like niagra falls off poo, literally sprayed the walls, the toilets. He was laughing soo hard , he was in his 90s sweet old man. Went ran grabbed the girl helping me, im like girl there is shit everywhere, its all over the walls!! I basically quoted the scence from, dumb, and dumber. Then all the female cnas, where just dying laughing at me. But they used me to lure old women to the dining halls. They would be like blake go sweet talk them old ladies into coming out here please. I miss those days so much, but losing my residence, and having to deal with the fact they are gone also put a big burden on me. also i will stand up for anyone who is miss treated in a nursing home idc who tf you think you are you abuse, molest or do anything like that to the elderly when you are supposed to be there to help them, you will 1000% catch a fade from my hands.

This one lady would practically scream at me when I told her we didn’t have anything else because she didn’t like the food. The experience made me realize why my stepmom is adamant that we never put her in a nursing home when she gets old
