I have searched and watched several travel vlog in Zhangjiajie, but this is by far the BEST! Thank you so much for walking us through all the majestic spots. We are planning to visit and your video has helped me a lot to prepare for the trip. Please keep documenting your very informative travels. We love it. Sending you prayers of safety and well wishes wherever you go! 🥰🥰
@@jipsy_qyne Thanks much. Your comments really made my day! Wishing you a wonderful trip to Zhangjiajie. I’m sure you will enjoy it. Oh… dun forget to plan for a day trip to either Furong or Fenghuang!
@@gibbontravelogue one more question - im exploring the option to go to Guangzhou like you instead of changsha. May I know which hotel you stayed in and any restaurants u recommend for the dimsum? :)
@@dottiedot77 hey, sure sure. Best place to stay in is Beijing Road. Lots of hotels there, last visit we stayed in Mercure hotel. You can check out this video for more info on places to eat. ruclips.net/video/DTzFnlLxj0w/видео.htmlsi=9Nnsphq4QHHQU_IL
Hello Sir, your vlog on Zhangjiajie is so informative. I didn't know that there are a lot of places you can visit inside the park aside from heading directly to the rock formations. It's only in your vlog that I've seen it. Thank you very much!
Thanks for the compliments and am glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, there are much to see within Zhangjiajie and interesting place to explore outside Zhangjiajie like Furong, Fenghuang ancient towns.
Thanks! That’s a very good question. We have planned to do so but we were so focused on exploring the park that we didn’t have a chance. When u have the chance to do that, do let me know if that’s a must-do.
Hi Gilbert, Your videos are very informative, clear and nice to watch. I am a Malaysian age 66. I am going to Zhangjiajie with another 7 seniors all above 60. Can you recommend to us where to stay in Zhangjiajie? We are travelling on a budget. How many days to stay in Zhangjiajie for a comfortable tour. Does the ticket include all the attractions in Zhangjiajie? We are first timer and not much experience in travelling to China. Thank you for your wonderful videos and please make more such beautiful videos. Take care
Ah I forget, how to get discounted tickets for over 60 or over 65 ? Does the ticket include Tienmen mountain ? Sorry to ask so many questions, after watching your videos my group is getting excited. ( we are going in Nov, hope its not crowded)
Hey, am happy to say that Zhangjiajie has relatively affordable accommodations. You can check them out on Agoda or Trip.com. For us, we stayed at Hilton at Zhangjiajie City at less than RMB500 per night. I suggest that you stay at just one place and move to the attractions from there. Take a DiDi ride is convenient and affordable. As for the attractions, the ticket only covers that particular attraction, but for 4 days. So you will need to get tickets for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianmen Shan and Grand Canyon park separately.
Hahaha, that’s great to know! It’s truly an exciting place. When u purchase the tickets over the counter, you can show your id/passport to get the discounted tickets. Unfortunately the tickets are only for the individual attractions. So you will need to get separate tickets. Nov is a fantastic time to be there. It’s going to be cold though so dress amply.
Hey thanks and glad you enjoyed the video! For us, we took two days to visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. We could have spend the entire days at the park if we had the time.
Awesome detailed guide on how to get to ZJJ. Will be using your guide for reference when I get there for sure. But a few questions: 1) I don't know if I missed it, but how much did the train ticket cost from Guangzhou to ZJJ ? 2) The entire trip was just 1 day ? Was it enough ? Or you wished you'd stay longer ? 3) Are there any accommodations once you get there ? Or you went back to the city after that ? There were a few more in my head while watching the video, but forgot..lol. Oh well...
Thanks and glad that you enjoyed the video and found it useful. There are three classes of train seats, 2nd class, 1st class and business class, costing from S$95 onwards. Check out this video for more info ruclips.net/video/MKxNpwAf63Y/видео.htmlsi=OvGCuow5o4KrTDR3 Furong Town is not very big so a day trip should be sufficient but the night scene there is amazing so it could be worth staying a night if your timing permits. There are lodging available in the larger town. For us, we took a day trip. Let me know if you need more info. Will be happy to answer.
Hello ur video is really useful. I’m planning to visit zhangjiajie in December this year, will it be raining the whole month? Pls recommend me is it gud to go in winter time thanks 🙏
Thanks and glad the video is useful to you. Historically Dec has least amount of rainfall but you will need to contend with the cold weather, averaging around 7 degrees Celsius or cold as you get higher
Hi! Thank you for this amazing video! Really informative. I’ve bought flight tickets with China Express airlines but I can’t sign up because it’s asking me for a Chinese phone number. Could you please help to guide me how I could get them ? They go from Chongqin to Zhangjiajie
Glad it was helpful! You have bought the flights from Chongqing to Zhangjiajie. But you can’t sign up? Could you let me know what you were trying to sign up for? Train tickets?
Hi, I have a few questions if you don't mind. 1. These guides, are they available before you enter the park? 2. Would the price be the same with a larger group? (9 people) 3.Did you also pay for the guide's tickets?
Hey, thanks for checking out the channel. Yes, there are a lot of them offering guide services at the entrance of the national park. Unfortunately, it is quite unregulated and you cannot be sure if a guide is qualified or not. So you will need to take a chance. If you decide to engage a guide, the guide would have access to the park, so you dun have to buy a ticket for the guide. For question 2, so far, I have not come across any group discounts for just 9 people.
The hotels in Zhangjiajie is generally low compared to the major cities in China. We stayed at the Hampton by Hilton in Zhangjiajie City which cost around usd80

Do I need to book in advance for the entrance of both Zhangjiajie and Tianmen Mountain or maybe I can buy it on site ?
Generally, you can buy them on site early in the morning. But if it is during the peak period, it is definitely safer to buy in advance online.

Is there a metro system in Zhangjiajie?
No metro there. But there’s a train station that brings you to other parts of China.
Is the tour guide fee of $300 per person or per group? Other than the guide fees, are there other charges that u need to pay for the guide?
Hey, the guide charges per group not per person. No other charges.

Hey, not really, just a short queue. This was in March, considered a low peak season.
