    Nice, didn’t know about that double click feature. We don’t speed ramp too often but dragging those grey bars to get rid of the transition is always a pain.

    • @TheFinalCutBro
      @TheFinalCutBro  3 года назад

      It's pretty unintuitive compared to how the rest of Final Cut Pro works. There aren't very many features that require a double click, so I don't think anybody ever tries it. Glad I could share it with you! Thanks for watching! 👊

  • @theDanDeleon
    @theDanDeleon 3 года назад

    Super helpful. Can you do a video on how to speed up the workflow for moving those red markers in a draw mask when going frame-by-frame? It’s soooo tedious! Lol

    • @TheFinalCutBro
      @TheFinalCutBro  3 года назад +1

      Absolutely! Also here's a quick tip that might help. I almost always jump ten frames at a time with Shift + →. Then I move the draw mask to the new position. After I have gone through the entire clip, I playback and just find the frames where the mask gets too far off and adjust it. This always makes the mask move so much smoother, and saves you SO much time not having to go frame by frame. It doesn't always work, but when it does, it's seriously so nice. Thanks for watching! 👊

    • @theDanDeleon
      @theDanDeleon 3 года назад

      @@TheFinalCutBro thanks! Is there a way to move all the red markers in a draw mask at once?

    • @TheFinalCutBro
      @TheFinalCutBro  3 года назад +1

      @@theDanDeleon yeah! Just select one and then I believe if you press CMD + A it will select all the markers.

    • @theDanDeleon

      @@TheFinalCutBro ahh that makes sense. Thanks I’ll try it next time.

    I've been editing on final cut for about a year, and I wanted to know if there is anyway to get speed graphs on FCPX like AE has. Does anyone know?

  • @OvertheTopShot
    @OvertheTopShot 2 года назад

    Can you do one on mixing frame rates? Im still confused a little. when I press auto speed, it just gives me 100%. Is the solution to export in half the rate you edited in? So, film in 60p but working on a 30p timeline? im sorry if thats confusing. If that math is corrct, would it give me 40% slowed down but smooth transitons? also KEYFRAMING 😭. Thanks!

    • @TheFinalCutBro
      @TheFinalCutBro  2 года назад

      Yeah, so if you film at 60p, when you bring it into final cut, it will need to be slowed down to 50% on a 30p timeline! My best guess, is that possibly the footage you are trying to slow down is already at 30p? Or perhaps your timeline is set to 60p? Hopefully that helps!
