I really wish you had spent money on your kitchen before the fish pond. This fish pond will cost you a lot of money. It is not a necessity. Where as the kitchen is very necessary.

With the river being a communal water source why not pump from your own borehoke instead, especially with the water level so low. Seems inconsiderate to take all that water for entertainment when some need it foe survival

Hi Marwa, you should create a mini dam in the river, maybe 3-4 feet deep where you can pump from. Once the dam is filled it will overflow and continue to flow down the stream. Then you can leave the pump hose permanently for when you need water. Also check out a ram pump which does not require electricity or a generator. It work off gravity and head pressure. Once it is set up it will constantly pull water from the river up hill to the fish pond.
YES, I have been commenting the same, install water purifier which runs by electricity to get clean water (purified bacteria, sediments, chemicals etc)

I cannot understand why would someone build their house around so much water. It does not make sense to me. 😮
You are creating a disaster for the main house

_divide your fish pond in two sections.
_ move all the fish to one section.
_remove water from the other section and water proof it.
_ Then later move the fish to the newly waterproof side.
_ Water proof the other section and ta da your fish pond is good.
This will prevent water loss and note that the qater seepage overtime will compromise your house foundation.
How do you pour water into an unpaved surface?? Of course it will leak and wait till it starts to leak under the house 🤦🏽♂️
in no time the water will be lost in seepage and evaporation.

To those who keep telling Marwa to hire professionals, I am a professional in my field today because someone else allowed me to make mistakes during my early stages of learning/training. That's exactly what Marwa is doing with the boys, making them learn how to do things and they will appreciate it later in life when such experiences become beneficial to them.
You are so correct, most of those boys who work at Marwa is getting a chance to develop good skill set which is invaluable, because what they are learning will remain with them for life.

just dig 200mm mire in the inside, level the floor, compact the floor, add 50mm waterproof concrete add a liner and on the sides make sure it goess 150-200 mm above the tile, add a layer of nomal concrete/waterproof concrete and on sides also, this will waterproof the bottom. the inside is not well constructed thats the issue

Maybe you could do a tank like Nasto, so your fish tank water won't be so murky. Clean transparent water is what you want. Fresh, and clean for the healthy fish.

Hi Marwa, a means to seal that leaks is to Gunnite the pool. This is a means to spray a concrete sludge to the bottom on the inside of the pools. Today they do this method of building swimming pools. Just another solution.
This is why everything is more expensive in America. We hire professionals to do proper work. Everything I see here is done improperly. Tons of errors poorly planned.. plumbing 101, plumbing LOL!!

The best way to control the water is to use an open and close valve.
You need to concrete the bottom inside the pound,that is the only way to stop the leaks no other way
I think you should lay a pipe from the River to your Fish pond so that any time the fish Pond needs water you can connect the pumping generator to it and pump water into your fish pond. This will make it easy.
The ground may also require concrete flooring because this is not an earthing pond. Otherwise, it will be prone to leakage. Well done, guys!
The best source of water for a concrete fish pond is a well/borehole.
Make raised water towers on three legged post to create assisted Gravity feed from the river to the fish tankks and needed water for domestic usages.

When it’s working, you hear Marwa go Aya! Aya! As for a bit of physics, guys in the village struggle a lot! If they did not, villages would be as good as urban areas, having said that, they eventually pick up despite the frustrating pace!
Build a long tank near the river then pour water in it then connect pipes upto the pond..... Simple mathematics

You didn’t cement the bottom and you wonder why it’s leaking. Also there is no filtration system or cleaning for that water. Why would you want to eat fish growing in dirty still water next to your house. Complete waste.

The bottom and downside of the pond must be lined first as water will slowly seep through. Take the necessary precaution first then fill.
Marwa just use dam liner, it's a polythene used to separate the water from the ground.
Yow you need to concrete the bottom of the fishpond so water doesn't go under the house that would cause major problems leaking as to stop from inside

Put floors on those tanks otherwise there will be a disaster under your house, you really don't want that.
Cement the floor of the pond and paint on with waterproofing, there will be no leaks!

thr floor of the pond should be well plastered to avoid further consequences in future👍
You could have used have used a fishpond liner to prevent much repairs in the pond and like water leaking
Run pipes along the floor that you about to build so that the water leak is channelled.
Don’t forget to add water plants to your fish pond it helps keep the water clear 🎉

That pond needs running water if you want to put a floor because then it will be so cold for the fish and it might interfere with their mating cycles

Hallo Marwa, I like your determination. I think on this you ought to have gotten advise from a water engineer. Meanwhile if I were you I would have drilled a borehole and then get a solar immersible water pump. The water table isnt deep in your place. With the solar energy you generate it will be enough to pump enough water. Also the borehole will give you clean water and its eco friendly. If you need nore help on this please let me know
