I started making my bread with some Coconut milk. It's not so much for the taste. Coconut milk keeps your blood sugar from spiking. So, the carbs have less of a sugar-type crash later.
You do not really taste the coconut milk, at least I do not. But it does give the bread a quality you do not get from regular bread. I also have made bread with milk, juice, bacon, etc. I use my milk bread for peanut butter and grape jam. I gave a PB & J sandwich to a couple of guys at work. They rave about the bread.
Thanks for showing how it's done! Recipe for brioche seems a bit incorrect? .. 400 grams milk plus 150 grams eggs all going into just 500 grams of flour? ..also 200 grams of sugar! Was this meant for 1kg flour?? .. but then the butter would be too little at 200 grams and sugar still a lot! :-)
You saved me here! Was doing half this recipe for an Italian date night and the first 2 batches came out sloppy as could be. made adjustments based on your comment, and in my case halved everything again except the flour and the butter and it worked like a charm!
