I was there, three people from the stage between Bob and Mark. It was my birthday, and I lived 15 minutes walk away in Hammersmith. I joked on ER that Bob would play Forever Young for my birthday, knowing that was ludicrous as he hadn't played it in a long time. Probably the best night of my life.
There is something very touching about these "old coots" being able to produce such a nice, tender version of one of Bob's greatest songs. You can see the mutual respect they have for each other as well.
Knopfler blends into Dylan.....Oh we of the 50 and 60's have grown up with such musical and poetic brilliance...71 soon, and remain .....forever young.....
