Dawg, thank you for actually including chapter markers. So many creators refuse to add them because they think people will just skip through the video or only watch a small part which is ridiculous and straight up untrue. When I can’t find a part I’m looking for due to no markers I end up just not watching the video at all. Regardless, we appreciate all the hard work fam. I’m sure it takes ages to make these videos.
Prayerful Strike restores 1/3rd health, I'm pretty sure. So you could stack some health increasing items, get 60 vigor, use Rune of Morgott, and you're swinging with a flask's healing. Mix in some heavy armor for defense and you're golden.
Regarding Golden Vow ash on non-faith: You can/should put it on a spare dagger so you can swap to it, use the ash, then switch back to your main weapon that has an ash you actually want to use for your current build.
Bonus note on Sacred Blade: The projectile as well as the active buff can be used to directly destroy skeletons without them trying to resurrect, something most other sources of holy damage can't do. It's not that big of a deal, but it's pretty neat, plus there is this one super annoying dungeon in Liurnia where there's Necromancer enemies that keep on resurrecting the skeletons (in which case you cannot normally destroy them by hitting them whilst they are trying to get back up), something you can also prevent with sacred blade.
I'm shocked you rated Golden Land so low. It staggers constantly (reminded me of the Redmanes Ash in that respect), is cheap, and in my case using it on Great Stars it also heals slightly per hit, including each of those little follow-up projectiles that connect. It's one of the Faith Ashes I use most. I'd rate Golden Land and Golden Parry towards the top with the Flame Art Ashes.
well as a Great Stars user with str dex hybrid build I find it better scaling with str dex (quality) than faith (sacred). so the ranking is quite correct as this is faith build ashes ranking.
@@lukiluki3001 The ranking in the video is of the Ash, not the weapon or the highest AR rating. The AR doesn't tell the whole story for that specific weapon I use it with given it also can proc bleed nor the Ash given I also noted it tends to stagger frequently. Stagger and stunning can set up massive hits from combos, ripostes, faster status effect buildup, or charged hits.
Good to see you starting a new series. Definitely helpful letting us know if the AoW scales with faith/str, whatever. I'm still confused about that. Didn't realize the golden slam scaled from strictly faith. I was thinking it was AR for sure
Thank you thank you thank you for actually showing gameplay against enemies, there are a ton of showcases for ashes of war but none that show off how they actually perform in real fights, plus you gave your detailed reviews as always. You're up there as one of the best ER RUclipsrs, keep it up!
Been enjoying these videos, would be cool to see some more in-depth for specific ones, especially for PvP-use if you have interest in that Stuff like which can true combo, or how certain buffs are significantly reduced for PvP like Golden Vow
Holy ground is niche for sure and it’s time should really be buffed to 60 seconds at least. Where it can shine is on regen co-op builds. Stacking it with the aoe regen spell for the party and you can hit 22 hp/sec and it will boost defense while in it. Good combo with ranged weapon arts or spells.
Didn't cover the flame art ones? Super glad you are doing AoWs now. Really useful info. Would be cool to include AoWs that are not necessarily Faith-based but which still happen to have great faith scaling using flame art/sacred whetstones. Case in point, if/when you do arcane AoWs (of which there aren't many), would be super useful to include AoWs that are good at applying status effects, even if they aren't necessarily occult or blood-based. Great content regardless.
prayerful strike is extremely good with a tank build where u can just constantly trade with it, and it gets better when u have it on ur mimic tear too, staying alive has never been easier

Black flame tornado is really slept on I feels, if the host summons two phantoms at malenia, one burst of it hits up to 10k damage! easiest way to get it off is I use force to knock her down, then my weapon art. Sad thing is it does so much damage that her instant reaction is to do THAT move when she gets up, and sadly the host and other phantom get excited and don't stop swinging after she's on her feet, even tho they see me clearly backing up as she stands, rip my brothers. All I can do is watch.....
Should be noted: you mathed wrong on Sacred Order. If you have a 10% buff affecting both weapons, you're not doing 20% more damage... You're doing 10% more. If it only affected one weapon, you'd be doing 5% more power-stanced.
Thanks for taking the time to explain all the stats, as I'm new to elden ring this makes things a lot easier to understand I've subscribed to your channel ,because of the ranking of all the weapons.
Thank you for the awesome video. Can you please talk a little bit more about the scaling on each Ash? Its not clear which ones scale with the weapon AR or with the attributes.
We really need a some holy ashes of war for whips. If I'm gonna role play as a Belmont; I need my whip to smite evil dammit. Also some holy fist weapon skills would help with the monk build too.
They should really buff sacred ring of light to be more like the Halo Scythe's weapon art. It's not that worth it as it is. At the very least it needs to have longer range.
I tried to use Vow of the Indomitable against Mohg's start of the second phase but it didn't work unfortunately. That would have been a perfect use for it. Otherwise, rolling is just a better option for i-frames rather than taking up an ash of war in most cases
i think bloodflame + golden land is glitched now making you able to proc bleed on every star missle. also nice ranking videos i hope u do great axe/colossal weapons next.
I don't see much point in Vow of the indomitable as an i-frame ash of war which costs 20 FP when you can put Bloodhound step on any weapon and it only costs 5FP.
I think Golden Land is actually the best Ash of War for faith. Good in PvE and PvP. You dont need poise to get it off unlike Black Flame Tornado, and because it gives you lingering projectiles it gives you space to get off incantations/drink a blue flask.
Yeah it’s downside is the fp cost but the advantage of the range of the parry and the aoe make it a good option. I prefer carian retaliation as a parry upgrade due to it only costing fp if it succeeds in the parry. I’m not that great with my timing yet. Also being able to put the parry upgrades on medium shields while maintaining the same frames is great

For dual wielding golden vow incantation is an aura buff you can use on off hand seal then switch to weapon with sacred order ash of war and hold it both hands to use its skill as it’s a weapon buff that will apply to both weapons then you use switch to powerstance use sacred blade as of war main hand and you will be dual wielding with stacked bonus of golden vow and sacred order for both weapons and main hand will additionally be buffed by sacred blade and you have power stanced golden glowing weapons for the drip as a style bonus. You can also use a body buff still to stack further stacking too much takes too much two buffs is my usual limit the third buff sacred blade in this combo is also an attack benefiting from the first two buffs so it’s an exception. Golden order and flame grant me strength incantation followed by flaming strike on main hand weapon is another good three buff combo can be used with an offhand fire weapon and main hand physical or fire weapon to good effect
They also heal with Great Stars. Each hit is a tiny amount, but the attack hits multiple times. The main hit also tends to stagger a decent amount. Seemed very underrated in my view.
Holy ground + black flame tornado combo? would be a good combo since you also aren't moving when you do the attack and staggered enemies won't be able to hit you while you're slowly but surely healing any damage you take
Can't believe you put golden land so low, it's utility is very high, both long range and aoe, but I do agree it takes way too long to come out, plus the initial 2 part slam is very short ranged regardless of the big dmg and poise. I will try black flame tornado though after seeing you showcase it; do you know if it only scales off of weapon level, or faith stat?
See the Sith and halo Sith. Did you know there’s an incantation that shoots one of them out to. but when it goes out it comes back again like a boomerang. I’ve not seen anyone talk about it in a video yet. Don’t know if anybody knows about it....🤷🏻♂️

Golden land vs halo scythe for go to faith projectiles? I've been mainly using the halo scythe and looking for something different but I'm just in love with it's aow
Something I find interesting is the delay on Golden Land's projectiles. You can run at the enemy while they deal with the projectiles. It's a good way to divide someone's attention in PVP, and decent "covering fire" in PVE.
What weapon would you guys recommend I put Prayerful Strike on? I was thinking of doing the basic Mace since it gets a B in faith when infused and upgraded, but I'm not sure if there are any better options
@@youwy No I mean stuff like flaming strikes and flame of the redmanes. Technically those can be specced between Fire for STR scaling and Flame art for FTH scaling with the whetstones. I understand why you excluded them for this video though. If you did the video on every single ash of war that could be converted to different scalings the categories would overlap a lot.

nice outfit! where can I find it?
What weapon would you guys recommend I put Prayerful Strike on? I was thinking of doing the basic Mace since it gets a B in faith when infused and upgraded, but I'm not sure if there are any better options
Great stars you heal even more since it heals 1% per hit as it’s passive bonus
Where’d you get that armor you use?
So where are Flaming strike, flame of the redmanes, eruption, and ALL the lightning Ashes of war?
Does Shard of Alexander boost prayer strike?
Nice!
Deos the ash of war damage get effected if you select scared or normal.
Yoo some days ago i tried the fire death train with rotten battlehammer, but scarlett rot doesnt work :( guess should be using great stars instead.
don't the flame art ashes of war also scale with faith?
Yes, I cover them in the video.
@@gabrielamaro1470 they fall under fire not flame art. They can still be infused as flame art but I want to cover them in another video along side lightning. I feel that organising the videos this way will be better
I'm guilty of keeping a Sacred Blade weapon around to blow up skeletons
