Yeah I learned this from a guy who is really, REALLY into IJN stuff. It was tough to accept at first because a) I was wrong and 2) was so used to looking at regular grey.
Thanks for the review, you’ve definitely have experience building other Zeros and know all the usual trouble spots and point out how Academy has addressed them. The kit looks to have a lot of neat features and fixes to those issues. I especially like the exhaust pipe , the canons, and the ejection ports being hollow. By the way you’re manhandling the poor Zero, it looks like the landing gear are tough as shit
There's a few flaws that the IJN guys catch (deep fabric recesses, nose cannon hips, etc) this was just a build review. I think if you can get Hasegawa and this kit to mate you'd have about the best Zero out there. Hasegawa accuracy and (new) Academy fits. Some tell me that's what the new Eduard is.
A fine specimen indeed.
I love that color!!!!!! now I have to try and match it!!!!! wish me luck!!!!
Tamiya Grey Green with a touch of Khaki
@@rebelroostermodeling6460 THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!
@@rebelroostermodeling6460 I think you came up with the best formula so far!!! looks amazing!
HAHAHA !! Just noticed the blood spot on the propeller tip from a finger cut….in case y’all are wondering.
Beautiful job on this little new gem from Academy! Kudos from Chile, Cris
Can always count on finding a new detail to improve. Well done!
For longest time always thought zekes were standard grey or silber like hollywood texans!😳

@@rebelroostermodeling6460 just like with AVG P40s there's always debate on what camo shades were used!😳

Couldn't have gotten it right without the help. Thanks bud!
I really like the fuselage colors. Could you share what paint you used?
Tamiya XF76 Grey Green with a touch (I forgot the ratio) of XF49 Khaki.
I think this is the only 48th A6M kit with folding wing tips🤔
The blades are to fat...not sure if academy knows it
