Today’s video will show how to fix minor bumper damage on a VW Tiguan, including bumper removal and reattachment with new bumper guide and fender flare trim. This video is meant to inspire and inform people to try their hand at minor body work rather than forking over thousands for all new panels when the damage is relatively minor. While shown specifically on a Tiguan, most modern cars use a similar method for bumper and trim attachment.

Make sure you get the right parts for your car! The first generation Tiguan (2009-2017) had a facelift for the 2012 model year, the fender flair has more clips (and costs 3x as much) on the 2012-2017 model than for the 2009-2011 one. I am not sure what differences there are in the bumper guide, just get right the one for your year. The second generation Tiguan (2018-current) is most likely all different as well.
*I believe I may have gotten sent a fender flair for the older (pre-facelift) first gen by mistake, which would explain why it fits poorly. I should have checked the clips closer and recommend you try a different seller…
