    Very dramatic - looks a bit busy for me, but then again its an open case and its carbon fibre, so its always going to look in your face - but its such a nice build, very clean, straight lines - nice hardware selection - super coolant which I assume is the fancy name EKWB give for red coolant - dont think Alphacool do that color, but I could be wrong - anyhow, super job James - very clean job ! 😎

    Didn't have time to comment when this video published but I've been dying for someone to do a sick build using it and I can't wait for the final installment of the build from JCustom also using this case. He ran into the same issue with PSU sag which was no surprise after watching this but I've been tempted to save up for one of these. My only slight complaint is using an opaque coolant prevents seeing some parts from some angles but that's just personal preference. Looks amazing and you did the case justice. That case is gorgeous, but while you where taking out the side glass panel and saying it is an old style design, I took a glance at the (99$) 8yr old NXZT S340 sitting on my desk... Alphacool did a worse job there than NZXT did 8 years ago! The S340 side glass panel mounts in a similar way, but the screw part is atached to the case with a rubber ring around it to help locate and hold the panel while you screw and unscrew the thumbscrews, I'm baffled by that design choice.

    Thanks for that great video James! I just got that case and would have two queations: On which ports did you connect the coolers and radiators to the distro? there are quite a few. And, are carbon tubes more difficult to handle than 'normal' hard tubes? Thanks again and cheers from Vienna

    • @KitGuruTech
      @KitGuruTech  2 месяца назад +1

      Carbon tubes were as easy to use as acrylic i thought.
      It took some thought with the tubing but what I did was go out from the front rad to one of the bottom ports on the distro - out of the distro to the gpu - back to the distro from gpu - then out of distro to cpu - back to distro from cpu - then out of distro to top rad - from top rad to front rad to complete the loop.

I think I would have used that lower drive plate for a Slim SAS drive (I want the X870E Crosshair) then mounted something on top of that drive.to support the Power Supply. Oh, and I never use Opaque fluid, the potential for leaving deposits in the blocks is too high.

    I really do like Alpha cool stuff the rads and blocks are quality, that case is on the pricey side, though, and would have expected a 140 option on the rear fan (does it actually provide any benefit in an open case?) and a much better way to fill the distro plate, looked very tortured and non optimal. Very much has the feel of a version 1.

    Can you please help me, I am building the same case and have the same CPU block. I can see that you went from OUT on distro to OUT on CPU (lower hole on CPU block). and then from IN on CPU (upper hole on CPU block) to IN on distro, which goes after that to the upper radiator. So, I guess it is not a problem to swap IN and OUT this way on the CPU block?

      Hi, I asked Alphacool this exact question and they assured me it is OK to use either port as in/out, the effect on performance is minimal.

      @@KitGuruTech great, thank you, you saved me. I was even thinking going for another cpu block.The option is also to turn arround the block.

    Not sure why it’s so expensive. Is carbon fibre really that costly?

    If they were 140mm instead of 120mm fan mounts I might be interested.

    For me Carbon Fiber where it does not need to be, is like Gold on Burgerbun.
    That makes the Burger 100$!
