Honestly I’ve watched countless of tutorials and attempted many many failed attempts at making this but yours looks sooooo easy to comprehend and I’m excited to start this! Thank you for this.
loveee your tutorial styles cause they protect your artistry by not giving out the full pattern for free yet still allows the audience to follow along in a way that gives creative freedom and room to learn. not to mention the casual vlog style shows your lovely thoughts and personality *and* breaks up the isolation of crocheting (at least when you're doing it alone in your room haha). thank you so much for sharing your talent with the world
I'm mostly a knitter (I actually knitted while watching this video) but I nevertheless watch your crochet videos just for your chaotic energy that makes your tutorial different from any other tutorials. I might actually be tempted to knit some mohair top inspired by this.. when you said it might come in handy at a festival I really could imagine myself using it at a festival in early July I'm planning to go this year!

I usually don’t enjoy watching tutorials bc I just wanna listen to podcasts and crochet (but I need to understand the pattern lol) but for some reason I could sit through your video till the end and didn’t even realize it was 18 mins long! I love how you talk so smoothly!
for anyone who wanted to extend the front for the sake of the coverage or armholes, I found that the way to add more rows without the stripes looking off was to do a similar pattern as the sleeves and doing 5 round of mohair before moving to the thick yarn for one round hdc instead of 3 round mohair. just repeat hdc and tc to get to 5, hope this helps anyone lol
@@LL-dk5lb i used about half of a 250 g ball for my thick yarn and half a yarn cake for the mohair bit (although because i used a thicker mohair, if i did it again i would triple crochet every other stitch with a chain between them)

thank you very much for this tutorial! I was able to make a bolero for me and a friend. I really like your work. your tutorials are easy to follow and you're quite funny ;)
Ok i love how you made this into a sweater so im going to try to keep the body of it going after beginning the initial arms... im an amateur so we'll see how it goes!
Nice nails, nice hands lol. You have really nice hands. Im spending my Saturday bingeing on your videos. Deciding which one of your projects i want to make first. Although i have never crocheted and only begun learning knitting weeks ago on a sentro 😂 but I absolutely love love LOVE your stuff, so i will choose one if your projects and learn how to make it. Um leaning towards this but like the blue one only im going to make it longer sonit will sit on top of my jeans with no gap. If i was young I'd do the crop but im mot so... 🤞🏽 Wish me luck 🍀
Cute outfits and yarn is sooooo beautiful. I love it. "slutty little outfits" hahahaha I died, I know what you're talking about lmao.. Back in the day when I still went to festivals I always had that one top I could scrunch and put into my bag so I can put it on in the evening.
I just want to make sure I understand! On the 3rd row! When you come to the increase. You do a triple crochet into the stitches that make up the V AND in the gap?
The only question I have is, when you get to the increase on the 1st row of mohair, are you only crocheting into the chain one space of the previous row and skipping the 2 DC stitches themselves, or are you also crocheting into each DC of the increase as well as into the chain 1 space?
Thank you! I think I'm gonna try doing that also. My plan is to work this up into an over-sized raglan sweater so the more stitches the bigger it'll be
@@mmorrow7243I’m sooooo confused because if it is an increase how does it make sense to skip 2 stitches and work into just the center? Isn’t that like not doing any increases?😢
Love the tutorial its so easy to follow but how do i make it longer do i continue doing it in the round and then going back to the sleves or i relly dont know❤😅
hey!! i’d just do this tutorial to the end, so you have a bolero, then slip stitch back into the body, and just keep crocheting til it’s the length you want!! :)
Hi, love your tutorial ! And I just wanted to ask if you would recommend washing it once right after the completion so that it stays in place or whatever ^^
Love this sm!!!! Such a cute design .. I’m making one for a friend and am wondering if you have suggestions for how to measure where the sleeves are if I’m not able to have her try it on. Should I take her pit to pit measurement?
Thanks for sharing the tutorial! I just started today the wednesday vest (an other super tutorial)! I have just an answer how much chain you make to start this bolero? 😊 thanks
Hi!💐 I just wanted to thank you because I have been waiting for this kind of tutorial for ages! It's really well done and you are super funny :) I wanted to ask you: do you have any advice in how to deal with the small threads of yarn that are there every time I change color? Should I just cut them? Sometimes when I cut them you can still see them:/ anywayssss thank you again 💖😚
ur so sweet 😭😭 i usually leave a longer tail on the old and new yarn, and ghen tie the two diff color ends together so they stay on the inside!! i know it gets tricky with mohair and more open knits
For a summer season balero in this pattern, I would have to recommend doing an 8ply cotton for the thicker yarn, and a 4ply cotton for the thinner yarn ❤
Depends on your body size and the size of your yarn & hook. I went for an 8ply with a 5.5mm hook and made the neck line 66st and the arm holes were 41st (46st for a looser arm hole). Good luck! ❤
The placement of the sleeves is driving me insane. I did a smaller/shorter length for the neckline so the shoulders don’t come down enough and if I add more mohair rows before finishing off the top it gets too long in the front …. I’m stuck now not wanting to frog it all 😭
yeah i get it but she said that she’s never read a pattern before this 😭 so i wouldn’t hold it against her lol also this includes a purchasable written pattern but i haven’t bought it so idk
Can’t speak to your awesome crochet, as I’m just beginning, but your skin is likely oily but dehydrated. Exfoliate twice weekly and drink water! 🤍 Hope that helps

how did you weave in the loose ends?
Hello! How many did you chain to begin the collar? When I did this and finished the collar part it was really bunchy and loose /:
I saw a different video where the person did 60! But maybe its better to just keep ‘trying it on’ so you notice when its good for you?
Please can you tell me the Name of the Yarn the thicker one love your Videos
I have a question. What is a good type of yarn to use for this pattern for a summer feel? I am worried that this will be warmer
I would say nothing fuzzy and try baby yarn really thin and acrylic it really does help with no heat!
For a summer season balero in this pattern, I would have to recommend doing an 8ply cotton for the thicker yarn, and a 4ply cotton for the thinner yarn ❤
Now why did I think you were minzy from 2ne1😂 honestly you’re just as pretty. But I was shook for a second like SINCE WHEN MINZY BE CROCHETING😂😂😂
how would you suggest modifying the pattern if i wanted to use just a thicker yarn (no mohair)?
How many did you chain for the collar and where did you put the markings for the increases
How many skeins do you think are needed of each color?
I used about 50g of 8ply and close to 100g of 4ply yarn. It really just depends on the type of yarns your using... ❤
thank you!!
yw!!
can you please tell how many stitches you did for the neck hole and the arm hole??
Depends on your body size and the size of your yarn & hook. I went for an 8ply with a 5.5mm hook and made the neck line 66st and the arm holes were 41st (46st for a looser arm hole). Good luck! ❤
Can i use a mercized yarn?
Pleaseeee what colors did u use?!?
The placement of the sleeves is driving me insane. I did a smaller/shorter length for the neckline so the shoulders don’t come down enough and if I add more mohair rows before finishing off the top it gets too long in the front …. I’m stuck now not wanting to frog it all 😭
try just chaining more when you start your sleeves to compensate! i actually find starting the sleeves higher is a really cool look
is there a ravelry link for this?
I LOVE THIS !!!!
THANK YOU!!
Could any one be so kind as to post sizing for large to Xl ( number of stitches and inches for longer arms.:)
Is it okay to use bulky yarn instead of mohair yarn?
No! Bulky yarn for this would be horrible. Try cotton or acrylic instead.
Can you pretty pls make a cropped sweater just like this?
You can just continue to crochet the body! :)
if u wanted to could u make it a full sweater?
Omg I’m looking for the same answer😅
i know i’m late, but just keep working down the body! even slip stitching into it after making this video, and keep on going works just fine :)
