Only thing that i really hated about the Glen race was the stage cautions, those need to be REMOVED already ! Keep stages but remove those stupid stage breaks that ruin what could be interesting strategies.
The only problem with those rubbing at the end is: Nascar hired that security guard that doesn’t allow drivers to fight anymore so there’s no way to make yourself respected again. And if you retaliate on track you can be suspended, so… Let’em fight!!!!
If a team can put their car back out on the track safely, they should be able to do so at any point, even on lap 499. The more NASCAR "manages" things, on the track, the worse things get.

It was a drivers race. The dry conditions with no rain for a few weeks led to dirty conditions. Great ! What a exiting day. The racing line was anywhere between the guard rails.
The existing rule works well. My opinion is that they should give the crews the opportunity to fix the car (in the pit or behind the wall) and if the timer runs out then they're out. As far as driver track aggression--they shouldn't be allowed to wreck someone and advance their position. I like the idea of sending them to the back. The replay is good enough that announcers often see it as it's happening.
I would love to mention 1 thing about the Blaney complaint. I happen 1 race that jr. raced in his first winston cup race at Darlington. His car was messed up, drove horribly and crashed and when he got out of the medic check, jr was ready to leave and tony jr. said get back in and drive. Jr said it was so bad. Turns out it was a bad drive train.
Why is it that if you flatten tires in a wreck and you need to be towed to pit road, you get to work on the car? If it is going to be the same across the board, the way it should be, if you cannot drive to the pits under your own power then your race is over.
I live in supply, Brunswick county got 12 to 18 inches of rain. some roads are washed away. At Bristol JR had the hottest car . haha good luck dude . hope you 🏆 win.
It is such a shame, coming from not only a former driver but a current team owner, that we are saying from a fans perspective that this level of aggression is fun to watch and exciting. I like this podcast but its getting to a point where we cant keep letting the voices of our motorsport get away with not keeping nascar accountable and we continue to praise this manufactured drama and talentless racing. We cant be okay with Harrison Burton having a shot at a championship and Chris Buescher/Bubba Wallace not. We cant be okay with Watkins Glen (which is also one of the bests tests of the skill on the entire schedule) turn into a bumper cars match with about 7-8 combined overtimes between the Xfinity and Cup races. And we definitely cannot be okay with hyping up the championship race in Phoenix knowing that not only could one guy wreck his 3 opponents, but a guy with multiple wins on the season could potentially lose a championship to a guy who has less top 5 than the other guy has wins. Its okay to hold people accountable, its okay to say this is bad and we need to change it and think of ways that we can change it for the better. Its so sad that we have Dale’s co-host (on the daytona review show) say that the playoff system is what it is and if you dont like it then oh well… as a lifelong Nascar it just breaks my heart to hear someone on a very well known podcast just say that so easily. Without the fans and drivers Nascar is nothing and the sooner we as a collective realize that, the sooner we can go back to having competitive races and real championships worth racing for.
Well especially now too that toe-links are so fragile these days. It's weird that cars could potentially be made undriveable by a failure that is relatively common but only requires a 2 minute repair, but NASCAR would still not allow them back on because they needed to be towed back. I think maybe extend the damage clock and get rid of the towed back requirement.
He left off a story about those wheels being on the car at North Wilkesboro and it went green for a long run, lost a lap and the 11 spun, brought out a yellow. Gets those heavy wheels off, comes back and wins.
