Was curious to see what was different about watching episodically rather than just the movies, I'm very intrigued now lol. Yeah you guys do remember the chainmail boots in SeaWatt's vault, right? Welp, they're gone now. Maybe SeaWatt is actually at a secret rank or something like that. I thought this couldn't get better but... Here we are.
I have a couple theories from this episode. (Spoilers below) - - - #1: Barrier blocks The shorter one compared to #2, but at 7:33, Evbo stated that The Old Man only had ONE barrier block on him. That barrier block he was carrying is the same barrier block that he would later give to Evbo. #2: Seawatt Evbo thought that Seawatt probably just missed a jump, but I disagree. It’s just a little weird that he would just fail a jump. Here’s what I think happened happened to him: 9:10 First of all, his vault. We know that most of the barrels had little to no blocks in them, so he was probably carrying a bunch at the same time. Also, in the previous video, the armor stand in that vault had chainmail boots on. However in this video, the chainmail boots are gone. Either that was a mistake in the video OR Seawatt took the boots. But for what purpose? 9:58 here is an EXTREMELY long bridge of wooden blocks. What I think happened was that after Evbo confronted Seawatt to take him to the champion, Seawatt went to the edge of Parkour Civilization. With all the blocks he was carrying, he made a bridge leading to an unknown land. Remember: In Evbo’s memory of receiving a diamond, there were NO parkour blocks in the area. It just looked like a regular Minecraft world. That is where I believe Seawatt went to. The chainmail boots probably came from that land.. or the memory took place in the parkour training grounds at the pro level, because if there were no parkour jumps, would this even be parkour civilization? Who knows, this could be an entirely different city to do parkour. Or maybe it could be PVP civilization? Building?
09:05 I just realized a bit of continuity with the mechanics of the magic system in the story. The amethyst crystals used to implant memories of life before parkour civilization use the amethyst’s canon ability to record and play back memories recorded inside of them. Like how they were used in PC2
It seems Evbo really struck gold with those series. It's a basic premise a 5 year old could understand, and it also has plenty of simple explanations and callbacks to let everyone keep track of things without thinking too hard... but it also has a broader storyline with many recurring elements, complex unique and internally consistent worldbuilding, and a novel setting that's eye-catching, immersive and aesthetically pleasing even though most of it clearly wouldn't take long to make in WorldEdit. I hope the Parkour Civilization serves as inspiration to future creators.
