hey fellas thx for the review. I am curious as to how this board would go catching waves - both typical slow rollers and also more downwind type wind swell ? Can these fliteboards catch those waves without using the throttle (ie can you swing onto waves with the motor but then cut the motor and glide / foil just using the waters energy, or is the overall weight of the setup prohibitive ??

It is totally possible to catch waves with the air eventhough they are the heaviest board option, just keep in mind it really depends on the power/speed of the wave you're trying to ride and your skill/weight. A skilled rider can surf 4-6 ocean waves on any set up as those waves have alot of speed and energy, but 2-3 footers rollers or boat wake maybe challenging for a beginner or when you're using a heavier set up (air board sport battery). That being said you'll never know until you try as it is all really personal and takes alot of trial and error to figure the customization out.

thanks for the insights! Really struggling between the Air and the Waydoo Evo, did you test this one yet?

Spend the extra $800 and get a flite AIR. Waydoo's ride better than lift but the technology is super bootleg. It's not user friendly or intuitive and you have to register with the app before you can use it. Flite can be ridden with out using the app 100% fine

@@BayFoils Did you ride the new Evo yet or is this only based on older Waydoo Models? I don't really mind about registering on an app, but what do you mean by "technology is bootleg"? When I read the product descriptions, it feels like its the other way around

@@blackygoesblack the trigger doesn't feel good very small throw range, the app gps is not reliable, power cycling the board and the bluetooth pairing is a complete mess plus they don't have a great wing range so the ride feel its totally different. Just all around not great compared to Flite. It's like comparing a hyundai to a porche and the porche is less than $1000 more. At the end of the day its your money, but as someone who has tried both its well worth the upgrade to get into a Fliteboard.
