Girl I have been following your hair care routine and I must say my hair has been blossoming... the only thing is I use design essentails avocado shampoo, conditioner, and leave in. I got the wild growth serum light oil. And I grew a good 4- 5 inches steady. Of course I get my 8 to 10 week trim before doing box braids or any other protect style...

I agree! My reaction was literally the same because she had chopped off a lot of her hair.
In theory hair growth is very easy:
Minimise shedding and breakage.
Keep a healthy balance of moisture and protein.
Take care of the ends.
Low manipulation, low stress styles.
Protective styling.
That’s it. But finding the right products and such is what’s difficult. EVERYONE’s hair grows.

I really don’t understand how your hair grows sooo fast and mine grow as slow as the movement of a snail🙄. Coconut oil doesn’t agree with my hair, it makes it feels coarse, and you’re right natural hair is really not for the weak. I can’t count how many times I thought of relaxing my natural hair

Your hair is beautiful Jess it's definitely giving a wavy stretched look but you need something with a stronger hold for the twist outs you like to wear.

Thank you sisss! And I use a regular clear lip gloss from the beauty supply store lol but I use a brown Lip liner and rub my lips together and then put the gloss on top :)

Hi Jess! I "jess" love your content and your energy, girl! At the end of this video you talk about retwisting with product to preserve the style. I have a similar hair type/texture, and also have to retwist my hair at night, but I don't usually add more product. I just grab sections and twist. This method is two-fold: keeps hair detangled and stretches it after a normal twist-out on wet hair. I've been twisting on blowed-out hair lately, and loving the results!
Do you comb through the hair to distribute the product, disturbing the earlier achieved pattern, (essentially starting over)?
I'd love to see your nighttime routine on blowed-out hair.

starpuppy on youtube has a video about things she’s realized she can’t do/the natural hair community lied to her about (i can’t really remember the name) but she said that pineapples at night was one of them and i was cracking up because it’s so true😭 if it’s up then it’s stuck
I was the same way. Have you ever tried 4? When I do a braid out or twist out I usually put it in 4 pineapples with a bonnet over it and it keeps it together for the next day.

One thing I will say, overwashing your hair will cause it to remove your hair. I wash my hair with the water first removing all product and then I wash it with very little shampoo. I know cuz it happens to me toooo. And i have thick hair, looks a lot like yours. Your face is soooo pretty with your cute self😍😍
Im a retwister as well chile….nice to have company. I can put my hair in about 5 satin scrunchies after the 1st day but then we retwisting! I dont usually have to add product til maybe the 3rd or 4fh night but were on the same page. Looks beautiful! Love it!!🥰

I know it may look like a lot of hair is coming out. Remember, your hair sheds 100 strands a day. If you left your hair out for 17 days, it is to be expected.

Hey Jess. I love the results of your twist out. You mentioned that you have to twist it back up at night. You reminded me that I have done that too and was very happy with the results. I stay in protective style for about 2 years. Now I'm thinking of about doing a twist out. QUESTION: Do you only reapply the cream and how often do you do it?

@onlyonejess your hair may need some protein. I'm in week 3 of my wash and go and finger combing produces less shedding than what I saw on this video. I've learned when my hair is shedding like that, it's not that I'm on week 2, 3 or 4 🤯, but thay my hair needs protein. I do a rice water rinse about every 6 to 8 weeks or sooner if I see more shedding. FYI

Can you try out aloe Vera: there is a different way to do it it makes your grow. So you blend the aloe. Then add water and blend it, then add Argan oil and blend it and put it in a spray bottle use it to detangle
