That's true. For me personally, my hair was much easier to manage after I got it cut. It practically detangles itself and I spend less time washing it and styling. But I do miss my length sometimes.

I just did this 4 days ago. I had to cut 6 inches off my hair after damage from a keratin treatment. Big chop #4 for me. Suffice to say I won't be putting anything on my hair unless it's shampoo, conditioner, oil and gel 🙄

That's how I feel about relaxers. Your hair won't be 100% healthy after getting one. But there are things you can do to keep it from breaking off so you are still able to grow it. The same with using heat.

I know exactly what you’re going through Jess, I had to cut several inches of my after the Dominican salon secretly put chemicals in my hair. After a year of treatment and protective styling I cut a total of 5 inches. I did everything to get it back, but the key is to cut it off. Be carful going to those Dominicans, they don’t like our hair. I’m proud of you Jess, keep up the good work

As that I did both, grew out and did a big chop after a large set back... I respect you sis. I know the shock will come in in a few days so just remember you have a plan and in the best position for growth. Plus it will grow back in a year with your practices so no worries!
I actually love that you did the big chop. I had to cut my sides and back for heat damage. I totally understand why you didnt want to cut it either. I need to do the same because I was on medication and it made my hair shed.... trying to let it bounce back a bit before taking off the ends...... healthy hair is the way to grow and we know that hair grows! lol

I can definitely relate to those feelings of doing another big chop. I had to cut off my color too to get my curls back from the damage color did to my hair, so you are not alone. I think you are a beautiful girl and your hair looks really cute 💕

I know exactly what you’re going through Jess, I had to cut several inches of my after the Dominican salon secretly put chemicals in my hair. After a year of treatment and protective styling I cut a total of 5 inches. I did everything to get it back, but the key is to cut it off. Be carful going to those Dominicans, they don’t like our hair. I’m proud of you Jess, keep up the good work

As that I did both, grew out and did a big chop after a large set back... I respect you sis. I know the shock will come in in a few days so just remember you have a plan and in the best position for growth. Plus it will grow back in a year with your practices so no worries!
I actually love that you did the big chop. I had to cut my sides and back for heat damage. I totally understand why you didnt want to cut it either. I couldn't see myself cutting mines again but its growing so fast. You are one of the few youtubers that I watch that takes pride in there natural hair and had relaxed it. I really love this video.
