You covered all the main points better than any of the other English reviews I've seen in the last week and crucially answered the SP vs. non-SP question that always comes up (could say the same for RS vs. R on the Street Triple) that we need clear statements on. I was going to wait until the SP was released in the UK before arranging a test ride, but you've convinced me to try the standard model earlier. For info, this is a potential replacement for a 2011 675 Street Triple R I've owned from new. I'm taking away some of the obvious excitement you have for th ebike over to a planned test ride 👍👍👍
Excellent review, and your conclusion is spot on. Personal preference aside, this is objectively the best value option for the naked middleweight class - by far. You get the CP3 engine, the R1 electronics package, name-brand suspension and a Brembo master cylinder for $10.6k. None of the Japanese competitors offer anything close to this same spec and all the Euro options that do will cost $2k more, at minimum.

Very informative review. Sehr gut gemacht! For the first time ever I'm seriously considering 09, because as you, I never liked the front end instability of the prev models.
Right I am 6.1 and the 2023 I sat on it and I thought the riding position and seating position I thought was absolutely perfect it was extremely comfortable I thought about purchasing but wanted to wait for 2024 cause they improved the screen size and now from this guy's review he says they completely have changed riding and sitting position wow this is extremely disappointing to me now i don't think I would like the bike so I went and bought a 2024 kawasaki ninja 1000sx picking it up next month so now I think I will wait on this bike I was gonna order one but I will wait to until I can sit on one but if they changed it like he said I am not sure I will like it my only complaint will the 1000sx is the peg are slightly on the high side but not a deal breaker but it is fairly comfy maybe the MT10 might be better will check that out also
I wanted an mt 07, but everyone talks about the bad suspension. So the mt 09 could e a valid option, I want a exciting bike but not with sporty ergos. I will try to get my hands on a second gen
@@endriolima5685The only downside to the 2nd Gen is the on/off feel of the throttle. If you're ok with that, you're good to go. I've owned that bike since 2018.
Seems someone left and forgot his LAP TOP in the handle bars. The screen is too big. Do you look at the data in the screen when riding at 180 KPH? It's a wind resistance screen, not an aero dynamic one.

How's the vibration at the handlebar at various RPM? I rode an older MT that had high frequency buzzy vibration.

I have the 2021 MT-09 so I want to ride it to see the difference between 2024.
So Yamaha turned their bike into a street triple, I like my Gen 2 because it’s comfortable and not as aggressive in the seating department

Still upright, but better handling than the second gen.
