It is interesting to me that there are almost no negative comments on your videos. Such a thing is very rare on RUclips. Everyone seems to truly and honestly come simply to watch a beautiful piece of wood be turned into a beautiful piece of furniture (or art, if you believe as I do) by a gifted artist and craftsman. The comments alone are one of the reasons this (along with Paul Sellers' channel) is one of my favorite places on the internet. Please continue to inspire us with your wonderful videos of your magnificent projects.
A day when Ishitani Furniture does an upload is a great day indeed!
It amazes me to see how consistent your designs are. Every piece seems to be in perfect harmony with the rest of the furniture you have been featuring in your videos.
The attention to the fine details make your art treasures. The calm and love you give you work and your beautiful pet makes watching, time well spent and therapeutic to the soul. Think you have found your key to happiness and health.
Stay healthy and thank you for sharing your pet.
The 193 people who disliked this do their woodworking with 2x4s from the hardware store. Incredible craftsmanship. Much love from Canada. :)
Who would have thought what an absolute pleasure it would be to watch somebody make a couple of shelves?
Austere, elegant, and simple. Precise hand-cut joinery with minimal fasteners. No power sanders, a jack-plane and elbow grease instead. No background distractions, just focus. No pretense, no cutting corners. This man is a true craftsman and embodies the spirit of Japanese woodworking. Subbed.
Telling a story without a single word.
I'm glad to see a new video posted. They had been missing for a while. Congratulations for the job!
The care and love you put into everything you make, even something as mundane as a simple shelf never ceases to amaze me.
You make me strive to be a better wood worker. Thank You.
I always love when I see a new video put out. I'm so happy this channel is staying pure and not putting out content just to put out content talking about sponsors more than the project. This is why I will always keep coming back.
Great to have you back! Wonderful craftsmanship! Thank you.
You have just made my day- thank you so much for sharing your wonderful work
Really enjoy watching you work! The joinery on this project is a thing of beauty! Really can't wait to build my skills and tools and try something like this! 👍👍
I love that he always finishes the inside routed corners by hand. If I would win a lottery I'd be in Japan begging Ishitani to make me a piece of furniture.
Каждое новое видео смотрю с удовольствием. Процесс изготовления завораживает, смотрю на одном дыхании. Всё так не навязчиво и понятно. Жду новых работ.
I have been "binge-watching" Ishitani video's here on RUclips since I discovered them a week ago. I find myself at a loss trying to think of the right adjectives that do justice to these cinematic art pieces. I love Shiro, and the videography by Chie is superb and reminds me of Kurosawa. But the artistic craftsmanship of Natsuki Ishitani is beyond brilliant. Thank you!
With this quality workmanship these shelves should last more than humanity!
Splendid job Natsuki!
Good to see a new video. No just for the craftsmanship, but also for the inherent poetry of each video! Thanks for sharing
So relaxing and satisfying. Thank you master Ishitani and Chie!
Simply beautiful! Thank you for showing it
wonderful job! when i see you working, the woodworking seems easy!thanks for the motivation
These shelfs are definitely earth-quake safe! Wonderful work again (polishing even the back sides...). Thanks for posting!
You make the most elegant pieces and the most pleasant videos. Thanks.

love waking up to a new ishitani. beautiful shelves.
Beautiful shelves. Thanks for this video!
I only started to watch your videos a month ago have watched them all now started all over again. The anticipation for a new release is greater than game of thrones. Thank you so much.
I really appreciate the interludes showing the seasons in rural Japan.
I really love the "Watch and be mindful" way these videos are done. No words...just the wood and the work. I only wish you had time to make more videos.
Doesn't matter if the project is easier or complex, you're the best!!!!
Somehow, the style of this shelf is "very pure", stripped of any flourish.
Very elegant.
I really like it...
Making shelves-great.
Walking dog-priceless!
How I missed this! Every single video of Ishitani is a cheered moment of contemplation. The rigorous design and meticulous execution shows a respect almost religious with the wood. And I have also a profound admiration for Chie's video making sensibility, with its perfect angles and impeccable lights. And Shiro is the most lovely quality inspector ever. Arigato.
I love how you make everything look so easy to do! even though they need patience and skills !
I always look forward to your videos. Once again, thank you!
This might be the first time I’ve seen Matsuki use sandpaper. Beautiful work.
It's always such a treat to watch your work!
Thanks for sharing!
What a lovely, meticulous take on such a simple thing. Sublime.
The calm of your pace and space make viewing a meditation! I also really liked how the top of the shelf curves out and away from the wall . . . Beautiful.
I just watched your Oak Wall Shelves video. As always, your work is very refine and pleasing to the eye. I learn a lot from watching your videos. Some techniques are small and simple. Others are very intricate. But today, I realize that perhaps the greatest lesson for me, from all your videos is: relax, take a break, and enjoy nature. It makes going back to my woodworking projects more enjoyable and it erases some frustration from my lack of skill. Thanks for showing me how to enjoy woodworking from a technical and emotional perspective.
Finally!!! We missed you! Thanks for coming back
These videos are a thing of beauty. Thanks for making my evening.
Получаю удовольствие смотря его видео.
You can just feel the precision in your work even through your video editing. I love your channel. Great job. Your work is incredible.
Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful!
Dear Sir,
The beauty of these shelves lies in their simplicity. Very nicely executed. Kind regards.
I just love your videos, it is like meditation for me. Thank you as always.
楽しみにして待っていました。
作品はもちろんの事ですが、ビデオの編集に対してもいつも素晴らしいと感じます。
Great use of router and guide for making the stopped sliding dovetails. And all the green in those woods you're walking is wonderful. Thanks for sharing
Perfect!Small craft and great story!
Your woodworking skills are awesome!, My daughter has atopic dermatitis too. At first, her skin got very bad., then, We started using "Eucerin pH5", and her skin is 95% healthy. Recommended. Hugs.
Beautiful and elegant work as always! Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful as always! The attention to details is magnificent.
SImplicity at its best! Beautiful. Thank you Sir.
Beautiful and inspiring as ever!
Enjoy the peacefulness of these videos...Thank you for sharing
Next time I get an order for a floating shelf I’m going to show them this. Amazing
As always, a work of art!!
Something so simple as a shelf, made to look beautiful and full of craftsmanship 😊
So much better than watching tv. Relaxing, inspiring. Nice work
Chie, I noticed a big departure from your previous videos - there was a lot more focus on the human form and element. We saw Ishitani’s face and body more with wider angle shots of the workshop. And you showed how he honed the workpiece. He didn’t get things right or perfect the first time and you did a nice job showing his tweaking and being a human with imperfections. I really liked this video. Thanks for testing out a new style.
Very nice. I appreciate your “dovetail” attention to detail
Another great video in the life of Ishitani Furniture world
It's like a wonderful mashup of woodworking with meditation, beautiful work.
Beautiful. I'm glad to see your video again.
Incredible craftsmanship. It’s fantastic to see a shelf of such elegance and beauty.
Watching a skillful craftsman at work is so relaxing...
love this design. Thank your the video upload. It also looks great with 2 different woods.
RUclips is filled with people calling themselves woodworkers making all the same, pallet wood, rustic, wood and metal...absolute Pinterest junk. It's so nice to see a see a real woodworker making original and unbelievably beautiful pieces! Please keep it up.
That's a bit harsh, but I agree, the trendy stuff will not hold it's appeal for long, while the work of great furniture makers will last for eternity.
Beautiful work as always!!
love your work...Thank you for sharing
Yay! Great video!
absolute art. well done.
complete with intermission. Brilliant!
Your slow and methodical pace is what keeps you on my subscribe list. I am inspired.
Beautiful work, Oak is a particular favourite of mine. Good to see you again.
Really really beautiful! In my opinion you are among the best!
Beautiful !
Thanks again for sharing your work. Your craftsmanship is inspiring, the video production is perfect. That woodland looks so beautiful and serene. Relieving the ends of the shelves so that they stand away from the wall adds that perfect touch of lightness. Looking forward to the next project...
A video from the master in the morning always makes my day. Love you guys! =]
Que gusto ver un vídeo de usted, nuevamente. Su trabajo es un deleite. No nos deje abandonados tanto tiempo, por favor 😁 Saludos desde México

Great video. I love that you take something which is simple - like a shelf - but then build it to such an amazingly high standard and with such care that it becomes something exceptional. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing project, well done!
You and your work are amazing. I can watch for hours.
There is much beauty to be found in the "simplicity" of design...
