Love these accounts
Got to hand it to them, still patrolling their old beat. I do wonder if the old fort near Kemnay (can't pronounce or spell it's name properly) in Aberdeenshire, has the odd Roman soldier still guarding it. It's quite a walk to get to it. Constantly uphill tracks.
if you find out / hear of so i can research further any accounts from Scotland could you let me know - so far I only have Newstead, Bonchester Bridge, Ardoch Roman Fort, Crawford in Lanarkshire
@@British-Hauntings-and-History I shall keep me ear to the ground, Chris.
Love the music that goes with this, well chosen. Most excellent video and history
its from the game Rome - Total War.. incedible soundtrack
I've been looking for your channel for ages since watching your videos a few years ago. but could'nt remember your name. Thanks for uploading these videos!
thank you for saying...appreciated
Excellent video!!
Great video!
I'd *love* to see the ghost of a Roman legionary - as long as he was friendly!
Unlikely to happen though, given that I live in New Zealand (which the Romans never managed to get to, unfortunately).
I wrote a long time back for ASSAP on the topic of Archaeology and Ghosts that ..There exists the potential that apparitions, especially those of antiquity, may be used in the prediction of archaeological sites. By observing the nature and appearance of the ghost it may be possible to determine a great deal about the locality, the individual or the period.
so if ...IF ....you ever witnessed a Roman Ghost down there in NZ it could have major implications in furthering the extent of the boundaries of the Roman Empire 8)
