H.P.Blavatsky didn't use the term "astral body" or "Linga Sharira" for the emotions at all. Instead she used these terms for the subtle physical body, what is later called "etheric body". The emotional body of desire is called "Kama Rupa" by Blavatsky. Kama and Linga are very different.
If you think that she did not use the word “astral” in the sense of the emotional body, then I would suggest that you re-examine all of her statements in this regard. You will find that she did indeed use it.
