RAF Charmy Down, Somerset - EVPs in the Control Tower
A reworking of an older video, the evps enhanced with my latest technique........ nothing was heard at the time of recording, these only emerge in the post investigation processing
RAF Charmy Down was planned as a satellite for RAF Colerne, but opened in late 1940 as a sector station in No. 10 Group Fighter Command
Originally just a grass surface and landing strips of 4,125 feet southeast to northwest and northeast to southwest, it was later upgraded to the Class A airfield standard in 1941, with a tarmac perimeter track and 39 aircraft dispersal points
It saw both RAf and USAAF units based there before closing in 1946 when it lay abandoned for many years. The hangars were removed, but the o...

RAF Kinloss near Inverness - A short EVP Session
Просмотров 25528 дней назад
i'm releasing this today especially for my friend Paul up in Forres This recording was taken by him on a disused part of former RAF Kinloss (1st of April 1939 to 26 July 2012) now Kinloss Barracks on the off chance should anyone wish to come and say hello Just a short session taken on A Samsung Galaxy which caused me initial problems with the processing...apologies to Paul for it taking me so long
RAF Kirmington - EVPs taken in the Battle HQ
Просмотров 214Месяц назад
Another old one being uploaded...i don't particularly like the claustraphobic underground Battle HQs but this is another one that i have tried to get EVPs from. This time at former RAF Kirmington in lincolnshire, now Humberside International Airport. There is another coming, taken outside the building just wandering around the little wood my History of RAF Kirmington is here - ruclips.net/video...

The Ghosts of RAF Shipdham with an EVP session in the Control Tower
Просмотров 273Месяц назад
Some accounts of Ghosts at this Norfolk WW2 Airfield - see my RAF Shipdham history for details of the units based here The EVP session was taken perhaps 25 years ago on very primitive equipment so don't expect too much from these EVPs - I have pushed them as far as I am able to
RAF Walmer EVPs at the WW1 Airfield Memorial

Taken about 10 years ago on a visit to this very quiet mostly forgotten WW1 Airfield on the Kent Channel Coast near Walmer Castle
Durham Woods - The Stone banging and tree knocks segment slightly enhanced
Просмотров 119Месяц назад
out and about in a local wood, which at times can feel light and airy and at others strangely dangerous....this is part of a much longer video which if wanted i can upload later i was stopped in my tracks when something nearby started banging pebbles together from a denser area of coniferous wood on the other side of a stream - more details will spoil it
Rutupiae - Richborough Roman Fort
Просмотров 120Месяц назад
Just to the north of Sandwich in Kent lies Richborough Roman Fort, Rutupiae, run and maintained by English Heritage In 43 AD the Claudian Invasion landed here on what was an island in the Wantsum Channel, fortifications were built to protect the beach head before the Legions marched on Britain This is my history of Rutupiae from its origins to its end at the edict of Honorius in 410 AD
Binchester (Vinovium) Roman Bath House 2021

Sitting atop a hill 49 ft above the Wear near Bishop Auckland, the fort of Vinovium, the largest Roman fort in County Durham, was probably established around AD 79 to guard the crossing of the Roman Road of Dere St. over the River Wear The road was to become the fort's via principalis through the center of the fort. EVP Session taken at RAF Snaith taken june 2015
this was great. i wish you'd upload the longer version. the knocking reminds me of supposed bigfoot sounds here in America. 1:08-1:09 a creepy sounding lady says "He couldn't come out!" 1:13-1:14 could be a bird sound? odd bird if so. if it's an evp it sounds like a man saying "Per - fect." 1:22 a lady says softly, "Yeah~" 2:00 a voice yells in the distance "Get out of here." 2:07-2:08 a man asks "Is there any way to help us?" it's the loudest evp so far.
thanks for not thinking - or saying that i'm a nut, or faking this as others have in the past..its a smallish wood in a ribbon of woods across County Durham - this one in particular always has that "being watched" feeling to it...there are other anomalous features in there....it was a small mine at one time and i'm pretty sure that would be where the evps emanate from...could be wrong - i didn't enhance the evps on this as i didn't want the clacking distracted from...thanks again - i'll upload the full hour long walk around for you
@@British-Hauntings-and-History thank you. i found your channel a couple days ago when a video appeared in my feed, the Roman Ghosts of Chester. i was so impressed with it i subscribed. history and the paranormal are right up my alley. i love history more than the paranormal which my whole family was born into unfortunately. it's finally gone for me ever since 2 years ago but not for my family. nonetheless if i happen upon a video like this one with nothing but natural sounds, i can hear at least some of the the evps. i can only hear them this way tho and not from any ghost type gizmos except ghost boxes which capture nonresidual evps, but never residual ones and gizmos such as these hurt my ears. there's several additional evps in this that are too indistinct to be able to make them out but it's the reason why i requested you upload the longer version. i became so adept of hearing evps in videos that i can assure you if there are evps in the mine you mentioned (and there are) they literally emanate from an invisible realm that merges with everywhere we are. they're even in your home. but it doesn't mean they're related to the mine or your home unless they're pure residual ONLY. it can be tested and validated. did you know residual and nonresidual evps carry different unique hallmarks of their own? which are always consistent and i found these hallmarks never waver. but only the rare residual ones count for me. it's the closest thing we have to a time machine into the past. i could say so much more about all this but i probably said too much already and i apologize if i did. it can be frustrating when you are put down and belittled because you're aware/intune of the paranormal. people who don't know can't understand and get scared. i noticed straight away in the first video i watched of yours you're very gifted and intelligent. so, you? a nut/faker? you're everything but.
I served at Binbrook. My hanger was No.5 hangar which was L.E.S.F. . One of my colleagues absolutely refused to lock up in the winter because it was dark when he had to lock up . While we were in Grimsby in a bar an old guy told us about our hangar being used as a morgue during the war . Binbrook was chosen as the base to return bodies to from Europe because Grimsby was a fishing port and therefore had ice factories to transport to Binbrook. I never saw anything but I did hear something. While locking up I heard someone in the toilet , I waited for them to exit but nobody came out , when I went in through the only door there was nobody there .
thanks - i've added your account to the fairly weighty RAF Binbrook file - Chris
A few years ago my wife and I visited the pub. I distinctly being patted on the head whilst “mid-stream” in the gents!
i like the fleece - has a nice convivial atmosphere there
Hope all Is Ok Chris ? Xxx
struggling a bit both with caring duties and covid flaring up again

Excellent museum and restoration
I had an experience connected to the Kimbolton base back in 1994 which has no rational explanation. Driving towards Catworth to meet the A14 on a summer evening I looked across to the old airfield and saw a large and slow low flying aircraft trailing smoke on a tradectory as if approaching the main runway from the east. So unusual I drove on to a clearance in the hedgeline to stop and get a better look and there was nothing. The plane was gone. Whats that all about?
Thanks for the account Paul - i have added it to the Kimbolton file this moring
Thanks. My pleasure. It happened so god only knows what I experienced 30 years ago. No aircraft of the 1990s would be trailing that kind of smoke and then just vanish!! Whoever they were I hope it was mission accomplished for them!
Very interesting, Chris. Thanks.
It was Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, No!

I’ve experienced ghostly conditions at Thurleigh 306 BG in one part of the museum you get a very cold feeling and I am a cynic but was convinced by it
thanks for that - i've added your account to my Thurleigh file - C
@@British-Hauntings-and-History It really opened my eyes and others who visited said the same '
Love this one
Great work, you can see there is a lot there
usually a lovely quiet place
Well done, that can't have been easy work doing all that, but well worth it
That "Hello" was super clear. Great session. New, weell done, love it
one of my favourite old airfields...it sits on the clifftop remembering
Crikey that is strange
Thanks you, Chris, för all of your amazing investigations!!❤❤❤
kind of you
Sing sing sing! I have a rare 12" pressing ...shellac 78. Your recordings make me wonder if all the audio I recorded when visiting many spiritually active sites might contain EVPs that could be heard if enhanced. 🤔
i am certain they would....sing is one of my all time favourites - so incredibly buzzing
Really interesting Chris, I learned to fly Microlights at Wombleton many years ago when I lived in Leeds prior to moving to Bridlington. …….
So interesting. Many thanks Chris. …………
strange place Catfoss
Could that have been "go home" maybe? Love the music 👍
anything is possible - i just give a suggestion of what i hear
Another interesting video from your archives, Chris. One of them seemed intrigued, asking "who's the man". Or maybe it was an "echo" from long ago. Great job.
questions i cant answer....
@@British-Hauntings-and-History And that's just it, Chris. The mysteries of our interesting universe.
Dankeschön für das Video!! Hab ein schönes Wochenende Chris 😘👍🏻👍🏻👋🏻
Excellent video Chris 👍 have a great weekend. Best wishes from Ireland.
❤love this channel .👍
very kind of you to say
“Go Haunt “ lol . “ he can’t be dead “ brilliant thanks Chris xxx
Great video Chris, just catching up, may take a few days! When you see motorways and roads in the outline of these remnants, it makes you wonder if the construction workers found these sites, did it genuinely know or deliberately ignored what they found?
Some very interesting EVPs there. Another excellent presentation.
Good clear EVPs interesting 👍🙏
Schönes Wochenende Chris und Dankeschön für das Video. 👍🏻❣️
thank you - you too
Personally, I love beans (baked bean variety). If this was an RAF spirit speaking, I'd have thought powdered eggs would've been the most unpopular foodstuff. Great captures here, Chris.
never tried powdered egg - bad is it ???
@@British-Hauntings-and-History From what I've heard, it's revolting. Still used to this day. Hope I never have to eat it.
Brilliant work, well done.
Couldnt they do these buildings up for housing as there is a shortage.? It would help to preserve them also . Just a thought
re housing shortage - abolish second and holiday let homes and there wouldn't be a shortage
Yes I can see your point I don't have a second home , nor do any of my friends . Do you think these old buildings from the war will just be left to crumble from lack of use ?
most are simply too far gone now...used as farm storage most of them with no repairs since the war...rusting away and the maycrete simply falling apart
thanks for sharing amazing how many ex ww2 airfields there are pity to see some deralict just got hold of a copy of your book haunted airfields very interesting
which volume ?? - if you were near me here in East Kent i'd sign it for you
Yay! Another new video to watch! ☺️ Who coukd hate beans? Thats so rude.
Guy hating beans made me chuckle.
So sad to see historical building's in that state .
Right on time Chris! Excellent as always 👌. Hope you have a great weekend buddy 😀
Really enjoyed this one Chris 👌 well done my friend 👏. Still catching up on your videos (blame the kids 😂). Take care brother 👍👍👍
Thank you for loading these videos. I'm sure those who served at these locations would be grateful if they knew you were trying to keep their memory alive.
Brilliant work Chris, thank you.
Hi Chris! I *love* these videos giving the history of the old RAF bases, and if they have hauntings then that's a bonus! Keep up the great work!
Chris, so good to hear this video again. The silouettes memorial enshrines the courage of the 851 aircrew who died flying from this base - it is a haunting (in every way) tribute to bravery and sacrifice. Once again, Per Ardua ad Astra....Sue
