If the accelerator pedal gets stuck, the car is way faster. It is a feature not a bug.

The fix they implement is to drill a hole in the bottom of the pad and then secure it with a pop rivet.
So you'll be able to tell if your vehicle was fixed by the glaringly obvious blind rivet hole put into the pedal.
