Tesla has a problem, namely that they do not know how to engineer and manufacture good cars. What Tesla _is_ good at is advertising/selling to wealthy Elon Musk enjoyers.
I don't know who the target consumer base even _is_ for the Cybertruck. If I had $100,000 and needed a truck, I would purchase literally any other option on the market at a far reduced cost and get infinitely better use out of it while also being able to drive around town with my dignity intact. Which means that the Cybuhtruck _must_ be for the aforementioned certified Elon Musk enjoyers. And it most definitely is, based on those individuals simultaneously coping/praising it on the internet.

when the layoffs start quality goes down the drain. trust me
quality has never been tesla's strong suit. ever since the first models, the quality was bad, with large and uneven gaps between body pannels, paint defaults... Check the video from Engineering Explained titled "Everything That's Wrong With My Tesla Model 3 - Quality Problems" from 5 years ago. Most of these problems still exist today!

That is the ugliest car I have ever seen. It literally looks like someone built in their backyard out of cardboard & then painted it with grey spray paint.
Cause is unauthorized lubricant to slip the accelerator pad onto the accelerator pedal arm. Soap was used to facilitate the slipping of the pad onto the arm. Cost cutting measures I presume. Tesla took a strategy from Boeing's playbook, lol!

The Cybertruck has steer-by-wire, so no mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the tires. That would make me uncomfortable, even if it were made by Mercedes or Toyota. But Tesla? No way. Thats a dealbreaker for me, on top of all the other issues that plague Teslas in general and the Cybertruck in particular.
they thought they would save money by not using screws to attach the pad to the pedal. this happens when you have accountants managing engineering projects, where safety is important.

That is extremely common for every car. It happened to me with my Mustang. It was definitely scary as hell when you floor it and expect the acceleration phase to end, and it doesn't.
This never happened in any car I ever owned
@jamesm28 It only happened to me once. I floored the pedal, then pulled my foot off, and the car kept going. It's a fast car. The exhaust is loud. It definitely scared me.

@jamesm28 At 1st, I was like Ooooh NO. My car is a manual, so I pushed the clutch in and hit the Rev limiter, and shut the car off. It's definitely scary because I wasn't going to crash if I kept going. A speeding ticket over 100 mph is not good. Blowing up your motor is also not good. It feels like a lose lose situation. Being an American It's entrenched in our souls that we are always in a lose lose situation because nobody likes the truth.
