- My eighteenth animation.
After fighting through endless waves of enemies guarding the unknown palace deep within layer of heresy, V1 encounters a Flesh Panopticum, containing a mighty soul within. King Sisyphus. Human whos will shined brighter than sun of the desert that imprisoned him. Reborn, he is ready to fight to strike down Heaven, layer by layer, piece by piece. Even if it all will worth nothing in the end.

i love how you can see the panic in the panopticons eye(s) as sisyphus starts breaking out of it

Especially terrifying because the Panopticon is said not to be sentient, Sisyphus is so powerful he instills a primal fear in even a non-living being.

I love how Sisyphus just says "oh you beat Minos? Ok cool, we ball" and then proceeds to turn V1 in metallic origami for the better part of an hour.
And it's Ironic that it's something of a sisyphean effort both ways, as Sisyphus seemingly acknowleges when you respawn with "Keep em coming!" Sisyphus will never get to heaven to finish his work because you have taken the place of his boulder, constantly beating V1 only to see him slidejump right back into the fray to begin the cycle anew. Only difference is he has to kill the player until he breaks your spirit. You only gotta kill him once (Or multiple times for P rank)

I really love how you showed V1's evolved experience and creativity through the choreography. During the Minos fight, V1 was cocky and as a result got punched and their Railcannon destroyed. But here we see V1 being more prepared and quickly escaped sisyphus' grasp using the pump explosion. Excellent my good man, keep it up

This guy's put in some REALLY nice details for each animation. It's super impressive.
I think this is how most players went by "Oh yeah i just p-ranked the entire game, not very hard, and i even beat this prison in a few attempts this is gonna be so ez"

Not only was getting to sisyphus way harder, but the player already learned to stop being cocky about their skill
I love the idea of how V1 doesn’t have too much inner strength, but has _SO MUCH_ agility, to where strength doesn’t even play a role
Isn't that entire catch of his gameplay?(You can counter it saying about the parry, yet V1 can't parry all punches)

@@duccline I guess, V1 both tough and strong, since he is able both run and fight at colossal speeds. I mean, if he wasn't tough enough, he would break at high speed.

I love the flesh panopticon eye looking in horror as Sisyphus breaks out! Plus that instant slam shock is just pure EYE CANDY
Even though there are no more prime bosses until post Act III, I hope you keep doing these! There’s still Gabriel, V2, then the monster and minibosses that can still be done! Even if not, some moments in levels like 6-1 can have cool cinematic content
I love the effect that was used for Sisyphus’ head. It really looks like if it was the actual sun of greed shining upon v1 with fury. I also really liked all the little details like the projectile boost or the fear in the panopticon’s eyes when Sisyphus is breaking out.

God I need to see what a full V1 vs V2 fight would like if you animated it, your work is top notch!

Seriously, this is jaw droppingly beautiful
ABSOLUTELY SICK loved the proboost and the overpump escape and you nailed sisyphus's mannerisms! only note is to really be careful with your camera, try to keep characters consistently on either the left or right side (that's the 'line' every cinematographer tells you never to break) and if there is a crossup make sure it's extremely visible (the wall jump into proboost at the start was a good example of a clearly communicated crossup!) keep up the great work, excited to see what you make next!

Perfection. So incredibly fast with these animations with such amazing quality! The attention to detail of V1 going for the parry showing the most effective way to counter SP… amazing! Even the Panopticon showing panic when SP ripped his way out was impressive!!!

can I just add on the little details you add, the way the penepopticorn was looking afraid when Sisyphus was breaking out, as it new that this soul power was much greater, to his design on his head being an actual sun of the greed layer, which is a symbol of power but also blazing will, bravo good animator bravo

I love how the fight with the panopticon doesn't end with you killing it. It ends with you causing enough commotion to wake Sisyphus up.

The way you communicated his scale through perspective was really cool, I love how he just looks like a giant in comparison to V1, which is accurate, but the angles really show that.

Little lore snippet (i think its true) is that even though the flesh panopticon is stronger then the flesh prison, the reason how Sisyphus could break out is because he was faster at forming as a prime soul and formed a good amount before placed in prison which is why he was able to break out and also SPEAK inside the prison unlike Minos prime.

I wonder if it would work. I get the feeling that, with these Ultrakill projects, you oughta be adding in crazy gun recoil physics like RWBY’s early days - characters using guns to propel themselves faster or for rapid direction changes. Saw a little bit of that here. If you’re gonna make anymore Ultrakill vids, it’d be so cool to see that more evidently.

My best guess for the 3rd Prime Sanctum is Lucifer.
Lucifer being the boss of 9-2 would be too cliche.

Fun Fact! Sisyphus immediately started regenerating as a Prime Soul after his death, unlike Minos, who took much longer. This is why Minos had a whole flesh prison, but Sisyphus' was much weaker and not as fully formed. Gabriel (and the other angels in charge) were rushed on building it to keep him contained.
