Planting Strawberries, Onions and a Gardenia Hedge 🌱 Weeding out some Volunteers || Irie Gardens

Here's a little update on my experiment of planting strawberries with onions. Strawberries and onion have been known to be a great companion pairing with the onions deterring both pest and diseases while strawberry leaves aides in providing a little shade for small onion seedlings and keep the ground nice and cool during those really hot days. Lets see how this goes as I really look forward to having strawberries in ground. They develop larger root systems which leads to larger berries. Lets just hope the squirrels and birds don't get to them first.
