Follow me on my journey of growing and preserving home grown food and pretty flowers from my NJ 7a/7b backyard garden. I started with one very large and oversized raised garden bed that quickly evolved into 3. Over the course of 3 years, my garden space turned into over 400 square feet of raised brick beds, containers, inground, and even rock wall space. My garden brings me peace, calmness, and pride, knowing that I’m able to feed my family homegrown organic produce.

I have help today so I'm taking full advantage. My tomatoes have been neglected for some time now so my husband has graciously volunteered to build me some strong supports. While he's doing that, I'm working on weeding and replanting by garden bed by the sunroom. It was a full day's work but so worth it. Hopefully now, I can start to properly take care of my tomatoes.

Damn, my peppers never grow so big like that, even if I fertilize...they just stay short and only get a couple peppers! , I'd love to know the secret!

You can buy the seeds on-line, but I purchase mine in paterson NJ.

It's not too hot in there for them? I was thinking of doing the same thing. Are you keeping the "door" opened?
@@tinatriestoplan8316 I use this area just to store them until I’m able to clean them up for long term storage so no more than a week. I have windows infront that gives good ventilation

@@atempereddream yes, we’ve done the sucker ones but these are from seeds that I started and some starts from the garden center.

Welcome! I didn't do any pruning to the peppers just planted them in fertile soil and feed with some liquid fertilizer every 2 weeks. Hope this helps.
