The main thing is you should have to push the shock rod ends upwards a bit to fit the shocks onto the A arms (push in the set pin) with the car on a stand. The idea is to adjust the droop screws so they push against the chassis at full droop and take pressure off of the shock rod ends. 😎💪👊👊
Only thing that would make them better is if they were using your m2c parts as the standard parts for exb models, im surprises they haven't tried doing some sort of co-op contract

Great vid. I purchased an Arrma kraton exb with my hard earned cash, and when it arrived it had no motor mount hardware. I called Arrma and expressed that…. 6 weeks later the parts showed up. So I had their roller lacking parts to actually get it up and running for 6 weeks and after sending multiple emails about my concern, nothing happened. But nice to see they can send you one at no expense so you can produce a video!! Horizontal hobby is killing it!!

The stock hardware is typically grade 10.9. It's fine for general bashing, but better to get 12.9 grade for high torque areas. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Awesome video. I got out of bashing and have been racing for the last two years but this makes me want to bash again! That truck is the best looking RTR I've ever seen. It isn't quite where I had my last outcast but I wont have to drop tons of money in it when I get it like the last one. I love that big heatsink on the motor. @Rich Duperbash facts...I'm finally finished rebuilding the diffs and diff cases and gearbox on my outcast 6s EXB RTR...I haven't even gotten a chance to enjoy it because the diffs gears teeth were all broken in the gearbox just on my second 5 minute run...making a video to upload on my channel, but I should've done like you said and added shims...wish I seen your tips day 1 when I bought mine...lesson learned..how is yours holding up
@@DaVerseOfficial mine is holding up solid. The ARRMA EXB shim kit is great if you want to replace the LSD plates and just go with traditional open diffs that you tune with different weight oils. That's honestly my preference overall. Still running 50/200/20k front to rear 🍻

I been out the hobby 15 years. Last car a Savage 25 nitro. Bought an outcast 6s exb without putting any research into it and couldn't be happier. Electric came a long way.
Nice truck Rich, I ordered a bunch of M2C upgrades like $700 cad for my K6 V5 rtr. Hopefully it will take a bashing without busting or bending shock towers and chassis, I got the ZRS shock caps too. Thanks for the tips and continued inspiration to push our rc rigs as hard as you can. Happy Bashing!
Thanks so much Steve 🤗. There's nothing like building your own custom M2C Beast 😱. The design and grade of 7075 with Mitch's parts is on another level no question. You still want to avoid hitting huge boulders or curbs at warp speeds, but she should do fantastic for regular, extreme bashing with hard hits 💪. So once I get a new one in and the warm weather comes, I can’t wait to have some fun. By far my favorite looking truck! I can’t wait to get his big brother as well! I just bought the talion exb but can’t get it til Friday. I can switch it to the outcast. I can’t decide. I think I like the talion better I’m just worried about parts availability.
I prefer Robinson Racing Extra Hard #1216 pinions myself Aaron 👍. They last way longer than the stock pinions. You'll have way more speed and wheelspin running the 16T. Just keep an eye on temps. I'm not new at this, but haven't ran the newer Spectrum 6s electronics long enough to trust their limitations. You should aim for around 150F tops on the motor temps. Much hotter and you should consider gearing down. Past 170F can be damaging to the motor over time. 😎💪👊👊

CONGRATS Steven 😱. Give yourself time to adjust to the air control. It's actually pretty challenging compared to the longer Kraton or Talion. Great pickup though 😍. I've kept atleast 1 or 2 in my fleet since the original was released in 2016 🍻

I hope their T6 heat treatment issues are resolved because I'd really like to try one. Wouldn't wheel spin reduce the load and run cooler? Learning here.
Will see how their T6 fairs with harder use 🤔. I have an extra M2C chassis on standby from my original beefcake Outcast build. Tore that rig down to build my longer Orange Darling XL with the Mojave chassis 😍. When the tires keep breaking traction and spinnig at this bone dry spot, I end up using extra throttle (high RPMs) to achieve the speeds I'm after. Winding the motor up and down rapidly gets it hot easily. Sand running heats up electronics too, similar to grass. 🍻😎💪👊👊

hey rich, i got myself one of these a while back. and i want to put the 16 tooth pinion on. and i saw you put some different screws in the motor mount. What size are they and how many washers did you put in there aswell?
Hey Ben. I use 20mm M4 socket head screws with M4 washers, just one washer per screw. The socket heads take a 3mm driver and are almost impossible to strip. You can crank them down proper tight 🍻
great video rich. got me one and fairly new to this so i have two questions. @6:03, does the new engine mount screws require loctite? if so which one do you recommend. also @ 8:40, you mentioned to replace the wing mount screws with 12.9 grade. do you know the size? tia.
Thanks so much 🤗. I use blue medium strength Loctite 242 for the pinion and outdrive cup grub screws and Permatex blue medium strength gel for the hardware. It's sold at many auto stores. Definitely thread lock the motor mount screws. The wingmount screws I use are M3 x 20mm 12.9 socket head from Monsterbolts.com. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 sorry one more question, is there a newer model robinson racing pinion you recommend for this since you swapped an old one on this? my stock one is making an awful sound during flight and I believe it's just the material on the stock pinion.
The stock servos are hit and miss in most RTR's and this one is no exception. I went to a Power HD 23kg WP. They're cheap, but super durable and perform great. 🍻
I noticed with having the LSD center diff set to maximum effect REALLY heats up the electronics.... I'm running a castle 1520 1650kv motor, no cooling, 20 tooth pinion, heats up very quick, a lot quicker than I'd expect. When I had the original 2050kv motor (not the spektrum motor) with a 14 tooth pinion, and standard center diff, my temps were really solid even without a heatsink. I ran about 200k in my center differential as well. These LSD diffs just allow for the power to be distributed so much better, almost perfect 50/50, which is a lot of strain for the motor.
Killer rip there brother. EXB is the new BLX🤞 Smart move by Arrma for a RTR EXB line/options with this and the Talion. Cool how Horizon sent Eric the Talion and you the Outcast as you guys might lean that way in preference? It's like they know you guys 😎👍 Interested in this with the LSD's as you mentioned it handles different. I know it's dry and slid around a bit more but maybe the LSD's help with that🤔 which was nice to see. Arrma Killing the game Great sends off the new ramp, that save about half way through... That's part of the reason I share mine on the channel to help encourage them.They adopted the 20mil center diff fluid and 39T spur gear idea months after seeing the results with the V1 Kraton 8s in bashing situations with true 1/5 aftermarket power systems 💪. They also earlier incorporated tower to tower bracing from basher influence. Smaller details like going to M4 where the front chassis support bolts to the top plate 🍻. They definitely respond to sound ideas and readily accept feedback for improvement. 😎💪👊👊
Great vid! I have a kraton 6s and the shafts keep popping out of the dif cups in the front , I changed the dif cups to m2c racing and it’s stillhappening any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks Brother 👊 I've had this happen periodically, but mostly while running flexible RPM arms. I also had an issue with my EXB K6s 😝. The solution was removing the lower red strengthening caps. You might have to remove the pillow ball spacers to shorten the throw between the outdrive cups and hubs. 🍻😎💪👊👊
The Notorious is a great rig Kyle 👍. Yes the EXB comes with some nice tidbits, but you can build up your Notorious overtime to suit your needs as well. It's a tough call because the standard RTR rigs do need aluminum chassis braces and benefit from stronger towers...etc..if you start bashing hard. That said, there's plenty of quality aftermarket parts available too. Good luck with whatever you decide 🍻😎💪👊👊

Congratulations on the new outcast man. What a beautiful truck. I've been drooling over this and the Talion all day haha. I was kind of hoping they would do something new to the backflips but it's OK cuz the backflips are an amazing tire as is. It just would have been nice to try them belted. That one jump off the ramp felt like it floated forever haha and did I see it right that it front flipped then back flipped and your steering it mid air was just beautiful. I love the new front bumper on it.the new bumpers are just amazing. Do you like the lsd plates in the diffs on the outcast? Thanks for showing the new outcast. I would probably swap it out. Have a look at the Power HD 23kg WP. Same specs as the 1210, but much cheaper and mine have outlasted the 1210 overall. Think it's got stronger gears. 🍻😎💪👊👊
I only like slight AVC when doing straight speed runs on road. I like to have full control of what the cars doing and make my own subtle corrections as needed 👍. Disarming the AVC through the programming ensures there's no interference occuring through any of the inputs. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Man I got a new exb outcast exb 6s...it all good minus the steering slop and the steering rack everything loose and sloppy won't turn a circle on 4 Lane road..idk what to do swap out all parts to the rtr parts or try replacement exb parts
I would pull the wheels and make certain the pillow ball nuts are set right first (not too tight or loose). Should have slight play when arms level and rocking the hubs back and forth, for suspension and pivoting/turning. Go through every link and connection from the wheels to the servo. The Ackerman plate (steering plate) can also be too tight (crap steering) or too loose (sloppy). Often it's a simple assembly issue such as a loose steering pivot ball. The servo saver is generally tight out of the box. 😎💪👊👊
The Outcast has the same arms and width of the Kraton, it's just got a shorter wheelbase using a Typhon buggy length chassis. That's why it's so easy to wheelie and do stunts and flips with. 😎💪👊👊

The Mojave is about 2" longer than a Kraton. It gets the power down easier than the Outcast and is probably more fun to drift and just rip around with. @Rich Duperbash facts...I'm finally finished rebuilding the diffs and diff cases and gearbox on my outcast 6s EXB RTR...I haven't even gotten a chance to enjoy it because the diffs gears teeth were all broken in the gearbox just on my second 5 minute run...making a video to upload on my channel, but I should've done like you said and added shims...wish I seen your tips day 1 when I bought mine...lesson learned..how is yours holding up
@@DaVerseOfficial mine is holding up solid. The ARRMA EXB shim kit is great if you want to replace the LSD plates and just go with traditional open diffs that you tune with different weight oils. That's honestly my preference overall. Still running 50/200/20k front to rear 🍻

You still want to avoid hitting huge boulders or curbs at warp speeds, but she should do fantastic for regular, extreme bashing with hard hits 💪. So I have a notorious v5 6s, so what your saying is defiantly install that 16t pinion that comes with it. I’m pretty new to the RC world
I prefer Robinson Racing Extra Hard #1216 pinions myself Aaron 👍. They last way longer than the stock pinions. You'll have way more speed and wheelspin running the 16T. Just keep an eye on temps. I'm not new at this, but haven't ran the newer Spectrum 6s electronics long enough to trust their limitations. You should aim for around 150F tops on the motor temps. Much hotter and you should consider gearing down. Past 170F can be damaging to the motor over time. 😎💪👊👊

I hope their T6 heat treatment issues are resolved because I'd really like to try one. Wouldn't wheel spin reduce the load and run cooler? Learning here.
Will see how their T6 fairs with harder use 🤔. I have an extra M2C chassis on standby from my original beefcake Outcast build. Tore that rig down to build my longer Orange Darling XL with the Mojave chassis 😍. When the tires keep breaking traction and spinnig at this bone dry spot, I end up using extra throttle (high RPMs) to achieve the speeds I'm after. Winding the motor up and down rapidly gets it hot easily. Sand running heats up electronics too, similar to grass. 🍻😎💪👊👊

hey rich, i got myself one of these a while back. and i want to put the 16 tooth pinion on. and i saw you put some different screws in the motor mount. What size are they and how many washers did you put in there aswell?
Hey Ben. I use 20mm M4 socket head screws with M4 washers, just one washer per screw. The socket heads take a 3mm driver and are almost impossible to strip. You can crank them down proper tight 🍻
great video rich. got me one and fairly new to this so i have two questions. @6:03, does the new engine mount screws require loctite? if so which one do you recommend. also @ 8:40, you mentioned to replace the wing mount screws with 12.9 grade. do you know the size? tia.
Thanks so much 🤗. I use blue medium strength Loctite 242 for the pinion and outdrive cup grub screws and Permatex blue medium strength gel for the hardware. It's sold at many auto stores. Definitely thread lock the motor mount screws. The wingmount screws I use are M3 x 20mm 12.9 socket head from Monsterbolts.com. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Looks great for a stock upgraded truck but I'm a little worried about the weak servo 245 Oz is really weak.
The stock servos are hit and miss in most RTR's and this one is no exception. I went to a Power HD 23kg WP. They're cheap, but super durable and perform great. 🍻
I noticed with having the LSD center diff set to maximum effect REALLY heats up the electronics.... I'm running a castle 1520 1650kv motor, no cooling, 20 tooth pinion, heats up very quick, a lot quicker than I'd expect. When I had the original 2050kv motor (not the spektrum motor) with a 14 tooth pinion, and standard center diff, my temps were really solid even without a heatsink. I ran about 200k in my center differential as well. These LSD diffs just allow for the power to be distributed so much better, almost perfect 50/50, which is a lot of strain for the motor.
I was wondering when the Outcast 6S would be released in EXB form! Dope.

Once again a killer video. The minor tweaks you do to this ready to bash version, I wish they would incorporate into the released version. Sometimes it’s the little things that can really make a difference over time.

That's part of the reason I share mine on the channel to help encourage them.They adopted the 20mil center diff fluid and 39T spur gear idea months after seeing the results with the V1 Kraton 8s in bashing situations with true 1/5 aftermarket power systems 💪. They also earlier incorporated tower to tower bracing from basher influence. Smaller details like going to M4 where the front chassis support bolts to the top plate 🍻. They definitely respond to sound ideas and readily accept feedback for improvement. 😎💪👊👊

Great vid! I have a kraton 6s and the shafts keep popping out of the dif cups in the front , I changed the dif cups to m2c racing and it’s stillhappening any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks Brother 👊 I've had this happen periodically, but mostly while running flexible RPM arms. I also had an issue with my EXB K6s 😝. The solution was removing the lower red strengthening caps. You might have to remove the pillow ball spacers to shorten the throw between the outdrive cups and hubs. 🍻😎💪👊👊

The Notorious is a great rig Kyle 👍. Yes the EXB comes with some nice tidbits, but you can build up your Notorious overtime to suit your needs as well. It's a tough call because the standard RTR rigs do need aluminum chassis braces and benefit from stronger towers...etc..if you start bashing hard. That said, there's plenty of quality aftermarket parts available too. Good luck with whatever you decide 🍻😎💪👊👊

I was kind of hoping they would do something new to the backflips but it's OK cuz the backflips are an amazing tire as is. It just would have been nice to try them belted. That one jump off the ramp felt like it floated forever haha and did I see it right that it front flipped then back flipped and your steering it mid air was just beautiful. Hey Rich. What do you think about the stock S652 servo? Stay with it or replace it right out of the box with Savöx 1210?
I would probably swap it out. Have a look at the Power HD 23kg WP. Same specs as the 1210, but much cheaper and mine have outlasted the 1210 overall. Think it's got stronger gears. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Is avc not your cup of tea? Or worth using here and there? Any reason why you don’t keep it turned to zero vs completely disabling it.
I only like slight AVC when doing straight speed runs on road. I like to have full control of what the cars doing and make my own subtle corrections as needed 👍. Disarming the AVC through the programming ensures there's no interference occuring through any of the inputs. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Man I got a new exb outcast exb 6s...it all good minus the steering slop and the steering rack everything loose and sloppy won't turn a circle on 4 Lane road..idk what to do swap out all parts to the rtr parts or try replacement exb parts
I would pull the wheels and make certain the pillow ball nuts are set right first (not too tight or loose). Should have slight play when arms level and rocking the hubs back and forth, for suspension and pivoting/turning. Go through every link and connection from the wheels to the servo. The Ackerman plate (steering plate) can also be too tight (crap steering) or too loose (sloppy). Often it's a simple assembly issue such as a loose steering pivot ball. The servo saver is generally tight out of the box. 😎💪👊👊
How big is that thing compared to the arrma Kraton 6s Mr Dumpstersmash?
The Outcast has the same arms and width of the Kraton, it's just got a shorter wheelbase using a Typhon buggy length chassis. That's why it's so easy to wheelie and do stunts and flips with. 😎💪👊👊

What batteries do you recommend for this type of bashing on the 6s EXB? What's a good spec range on the lipo.

Thanks so much Brother!!! Both the Outcast and Mojave are Mad fun 😍. They're 2 totally different rigs though. If you like easier stunts and tricks, the Outcast is the one. The Mojave is about 2" longer than a Kraton. It gets the power down easier than the Outcast and is probably more fun to drift and just rip around with. Go with whichever one interests you the most. 🍻😎💪👊👊
